thanks for the welcome, I still can't really believe that I actually have a little baby to write about after everything we went through. I guess the surreal feeling dies away at some stage but for now we're still enjoying just gazing at Finn in wonder.
So far he's been pretty good with sleeping at night although we're finding it somewhat difficult to settle him during the day at times after feeding. Yesterday he decided that two hourly feeds was the way to go form 9-5 so I didn't really get a lot done though thank goodness he then went 4 and then 5 hours at night. Feeding wise, well we had a few issues at hospital with lack of colostrum and attachment so had to use nipple shields and now he won't feed without them. My boobs are relatively big and apparently my nipples are flat so it seems the nipple shield helps. I was a little concerned but the maternal and child health nurse said not to worry about it at all so i'm feeling a little better though still worried about all the things i've read...
Another question for all you wise mums - how long does it take to get into something vaguely resembling a routine? Or is that just completely wishful thinking at this stage?!
Hope everyone is going well - I promise to start doing persies next time
