    Hi Girls,
Have started the hol's with some work in the yard - DH has been off work for a while due to a car accident and he started the work a few weeks back but it's been nice over the last two days to get out there with him. The weather's been so lovely, a bit of sun, a bit of shade, lunch on the deck - really nice. But i think i over did things today and am feeling tired, sore in the shoulder and back area and a little unsettled in the stomach, something i haven't felt for a while (touch wood)...i don't think pulling up the pavers and moving them was the best idea, but i must admit, i am also feeling great about seeing the improvement happening outside. Hopefully our canine boy appreciates the more dog and child friendly yard and doesn't destroy the new landscaping as he had the old!
Other than that, my hol's are beginning to fill up with lunch dates and things. I am actually quite antisocial, so it goes against everything i usually do. It began with a BBQ with friends last night which had me driving home well past my bed time and will continue daily for the next week and with the NRL final starting in 10 minutes i must hurry along! Actually I don't think there is a spare night/day free until next week. It's funny how now that i'm pg everyone wants to catch up! Not that i want to sound ungrateful, it's just the exhaustion. My step son and girlfriend are in Phuket at the moment and they rang today to say what a wonderful time they're having. I wish in part that i was with them and away from everyone, laying around a pool with a lovely cool fruit mocktail.
Anyway, sorry about the whinge. Big hello to everyone, i hope you're all enjoying your l/wkend and if you're a schooly like me, i hope you enjoy the 2 week break.

Monnie - hope Felix is feeling all better.

Mako - hmmm the car seat, we were actually thinking about that today.
I have so much to do this week that I think it will be going in the following week (I have to drive 20 minutes to get it put in because I don't dare attempt it myself).
It will kinda feel funny driving around with an empty car seat though.

Hmmm birth plan, awhile ago I discussed it with my Dr because I was so worried because I didn't have one.
Basically he said not to worry too much because for the ladies that do they always seem to be terribly disappointed if things don't go to plan which obviously rarely happens.
He said things are going to happen no matter what you think is going to happen so as long as you know pretty much about your pain relief, who you want in there.etc you don't need much of a plan & to be open to go with the flow.
I felt so much better after we had that chat.

How many days a week are you working?
It hasn't sunk in yet that I have finished work.

Sonya - Great news on your b/t levels.
My symptoms kicked in 6-7 weeks & then with avengance & are still continuing so enjoy this time of feeling well while you can.

Sazz - I know what you mean about being told off for buying clothes, it is actually quite annoying because for most of us we have waited sooooooo long for our bubs that why shouldn't we buy nice new things.
It kinda takes the excitement away when you get told off.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

    Hi Girls

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!!!!

Kimbe, you look like you did a little more than the regular busy bee.

Sazzafrazz, it must feel so surreal going in to the baby’s room, so looking forward at starting ours. DH is trying to prepare the garage so we can turn it in to the gym room so we can start on the babys room…I just feel like we are running out of time, keep telling him we are half way through the pregnancy and wee need to get a move on things a lot faster.

Mako, it just feels so close now for you, I am so excited….

Sonya, great news on the bloods….. now just sit back and enjoy.

As for me, baby’s moves are more obvious and I am really enjoying them …..

Wow you girls were busy in here last night lol.

First of all I want to wish Ltl Panda and Kotare a very happy birthday. I hope you are both having a lovely day and are being spoilt rotten

Jo I know what you mean about just going with the flow with the birth plan but I definately DON'T want forceps or the suction thingy used on my baby. They just look way too harsh and seeing the effects they have on bubs heads is just awful (personal opinion) so I want to make sure that the midwives and ob know thats how I feel. As far as everything else goes I"m just pretty much happy to go along with what ever happens.
As far as work goes I do 5 shifts a week but that will increase to about 7 shifts when I go back after the school hols until I finish. They are quite short but it certainly takes it out of me lately. I'm getting very tired very easily atm too.

Panda The movements are great aren't they? I love feeling my little one move around although sometimes I can be taken off guard when he digs into my ribs lol.

Sazz I too was being told not to buy anything for our baby. It used to annoy me so much that in the end I just told them that I am this childs mummy and I am entitled to buy whatever I want to. I also told everyone that we won't be having anything 2nd hand as this is our 1st and want everything new. This was dh's way of telling people too.

Kimbe It is easy to get carried away with the work around the house and yard. But please try to take things easy as we tend to feel the pain alot more during pregnancy as our muscles are more relaxed and its easier to hurt ourselves.

Once again nothing exciting going on here. Dh is on his way home and we are going to Sydney tomorrow to our fav restaurant for lunch as I don't know if we'll have another chance before bub arrives. So I say we may aswell go while we can

Ohhhh Mako, thanks hun.....and yes I was spoilt rotten.
Mum got me a couple of dresses for summer, one was for a Christening I have in November so was pretty wrapped with that..... Hubby got me a 2nd trimester pack at the peninsula hot springs that includes a foot soak and massage, 1 hour full body massage and a 45min facial.... that was very thoughtful of him. And what is better, our couple best friend got me another pack so I will be spilt for the next couple of months.

Been feeling a little euphoric lately, could be the hormones, but just have this great sense of well being. Can anyone else relate?

Absolutely relate to that Ltl Panda! And happy birthday to you and Kotare too!!! Appart from when I come home from work exhausted, I feel on top of the world most of the time. I guess it is the hormones and also having this dream come true finally. Great feeling, wish you could bottle it for later on lol.

Hope you had a fab lunch date Mako. sounds great!
Jo, Ive been thinking about the birth plan too and I think your DR advice is pretty good cause no matter how much you prepare it could all go out the window on the day and you dont want to be completely dissapointed. I am a pretty flexible person anyhow so Im only thinking about a few things to write down mainly and let the rest flow on the day. Enjoy your work free time!
Hi everyone else... just plodding along here. 14weeks to go...... got most of our stuff but all just chucked into the room till we get it and the other spare room sorted out. It is driving me crazy but I cant do it without DH and we have to get our robe situation sorted out so the baby can have my wardrobe and drawers. I hate waiting for these things to be done, I just want to be organised so I dont have to stress about anything.

Thanks Sazz and Mako (she says, all bashful). And ltl Panda too!!
I'm 31 now eeek . I feel blessed this year, and although I hated turning 30 - 31 was fine! Even the tiny drop of red wine i had was more than enough, and we had Thai for dinner. My skinny jeans still fitted - so that's something to be happy about...but not for much longer. The bump is making it's presence known to me. No preggie clothes needed yet...but trackies are my best friend
I had a little incident happen today with my puppy and i burst into tears. thank goodness DH was with me and he handled the whole thing. It must have been the hormones because the 'old' me would have reacted differently for sure.

I hope everyone is well and happy today...taking care of ourselves and our little cargoes.

Kotare and Panda I'm so pleased that you were both spoilt rotten

Sazz Try not to stress about not being organised as atleast you have all the furniture you need for bub. We are going to pick up our cot and other baby items this weekend.

I had my ob apppointment yesterday and it didn't go as well as I would have liked
The heart beat was good and my blood pressure was ok too but the results from my last scan weren't as good as they could have been. There isn't alot of amniotic fluid aroud the baby so I need to have another scan on the 22nd October and if they haven't improved I may need to be induced that week or early the next week. My Ob also told me that she won't allow me to go past my due date as it is way too risky for bub with my history so I guess I will have may baby in my arms no later than 6 weeks today.
I also asked about the pulled muscle and she said that it could take a while to heal and to take it as a sign that I need to slow down and take thing easy from now on. I also asked about working and she said that as long as I was comfortable it would be ok so I guess I'll just wait and see how the next scan goes and go from there.
Dh and I had a great day together on Tuesday. We didn't end up going to Manly as I couldn't be bothered driving all that way so we went for lunch close to home which was lovely and then went to see Rush Hour 3. It was so very funny.

I hope you are all doing well. Big belly rubs to everyone.

    Hey guys

I just can't believe how close everyone's EDDs are getting...very very exciting...it only seems like a few weeks ago that pregnancy announcements were being made!!!

Mako...sorry to hear about the latest appt...I'm sure you are in very capable hands and that everything will work out beautifully....6 weeks, hey? That is so wonderful!!! Felix is currently 6 weeks and that time has absolutely flown...I'm so excited for you!

Sazz...wow! 14 weeks to go...not long...especially with Christmas and NY! Hope all gets sorted with the baby room soon...I know what you mean about getting organised!

Ltl Panda...2nd trimester beauty package...sounds perfect! What a wonderful DH!

Jo...yep...going with the flow sounds like the best plan!!! Hope you are doing well!

To all others I've missed...hope you are doing well and enjoying the PALTTC journey...not long now and your bubs will be here!!! To all the newbies...congratulations!!!

Wow Monnie that 1st 6 weeks of young Felix's life has certainly flown. I hope the reflux issues aren't too bad for you both. It is quite a coomon thing with bubs. When I was working as a Nanny the baby I was caring for had it really bad. He was breast and bottle fed(formula) and we had to buy a special anti reflux type which seemed to help a bit. He's now a very healthy 10 year old.

What is a hug a bug?

Sazz - good luck with the room situation you will get it sorted, I can't believe you only have 14 weeks to go.

Ltl Panda - so glad your dh is looking after you with the massage.
I so wish I could relate to feeling eurphoric but I still feel awful most days, I do feel quite ripped off actually.
I remember the first 2-3 weeks I found out I was pg I was so incredibly happy & bursting with excitement but since week 7 I have felt awful but I am so glad that most of you ladies are feeling great.

Mako - sorry your appointment didn't go as well as you expected & I know you will still worry but just think awhile ago you were hoping to make it to 32 weeks so you are past that & your appointment is another couple of weeks away so I know everything will work out how it's meant to & you will be holding your precious bub without a care in the world.

Monnie - so happy to hear from you & Felix, hopefully his reflux will improve.

So we had our first antenatel class on Tuesday & it was really really good.
I mostly wanted to go so Dh would learn a few things but I actually learnt quite a few things myself which is fantastic.
The midwife was wonderful & put me quite at ease so I am looking forward to our next class.

My tummy is getting so huge but I'm just not sure how much more it can stretch, it is so incredibly tight I feel as though I may just burst especially when bub kicks it feels like her foot is going to come straight through!!!
Have another check up with dr tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.

Sazz - wow just 14 weeks.
Mako, ohhh darling hope you are ok, I guess you will be holding your little one in your arms a lot sooner than you though. As long ans you and baby are ok, it makes no different how cooked the little one is.

Monnie, great that you said hello, and good to hear that little Felix is doing well.

DJ, that must feel so uncomfortable, I could only imaging how feeling that tight would feel like....

Well girls, I finally have something to say, had our 20 week scan and got to see midget, it was totally amazing. She also had a 3D scanner so got some pretty cool shots of it, totally amazing, I was over the moon last night and could not believe that this little being is in my belly. Looks like it has a lot of hair on its head, and the scanner lady recons the due date is the 14th and not the 19th, told her its an IVF baby so the 19th is correct. Also, I have a low lying placenta so will need to go back at 31 weeks to see where its at, this will revile if I need a c-section…..if the baby is ok, nothing really bothers me, I am just a little scared of having a epidural, totally scared of them and was planning on a natural birth. This will mean that an epidural is necessary if I want to be awake for the birth otherwise they can put me to sleep.

And that is it….. just looking forward to the weekend, hope you lovely ladies are all doing well, and will talk soon.

    Hey Ltl Panda

What a wonderful post...so glad to hear that all is well with midget!

From what I've heard about low lying placentas...most of the move so hopefully you won't have to worry.

Also...I had an epidural with my c-section. Did not feel it go in AT ALL! They put a little cream on the spot to make sure I didn't feel it and it worked beautifully....they put it in before I even realised...

Anyway hopefully you won't be needing it anyway...

Jo I can totally relate to the very tight feeling hun. I'm sure that you won't run out of room though
I'm sorry that you haven't enjoyed too much of your pregnancy but I'm sure you'll enjoy being a mummy and that will make up for it all. Take care hun it won't be too long and you'll be holding that little princess of yours in your arms.

Ltl Panda Wow I can't believe you are 20 weeks already. Try not to worry too much about the epidural as you may not need to have a c/s in the end if your placenta moves out the way. I have heard that they do move in alot of cases so I'll keep my fingers crossed that this happens for you too.
Did you find out the sex of Midget???

Monnie its great to see you pop in and offer words of encouragement as you do.
How are your reno's going? Are you living at your house now or are you still at your parents?

Not alot going on here. I've been to the lower blue mountains and back again today(about 3 hours each way) as I had to pick up my niece as she is going to QLD tomorrow with some friends who live up here and my SIL only came home from hospital last night as she has Pneumonia and isn't well enough to drive.
Bub is still moving around alot and poking me in the ribs more and more these days.
Dh and I are setting up the nursery on Sunday so that will be good to have it all done.

I hope everyone is doing ok and enjoy your weekend

Ltl Panda - it is just totally amazing seeing those 3d pics, isn't it such a miracle.
I take it you didn't find out if it's pink or blue, I guess you could always find out at your next scan if you want to that is.
So was the little bub being active?

Mako - how do you manage in the car for that long, bubs can't stand it for any longer than an hour anymore before she kicks up a storm with me making things very uncomfortable.
I can definately relate to the kicks in the ribs, because bub is head down her legs are high up under my boobs so that does hurt quite a bit when she kicks.
Have fun doing the nursery, it is very exciting now isn't it?

Well I had my appointment today & everything going well.
Two weeks ago he said bub was average size but today she is a little bigger than average size which he can tell because I am all baby (it looks like I have swallowed a basketball).

So that is a little concerning & I did admit to him that this week especially I have struggled quite a bit, he did say he is happy to induce at 38wks obviously depending on how everything is going. (that is of course if I don't go earlier with all these conctractions I keep getting).

So I guess we wont know much until a few more weeks, I have another appoint. in 2weeks & then weekly from there.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I have a wedding tomorrow which will no doubt be tiring & then my baby shower next weekend so lots to look forward to.

ok im back...computer died so we went and bought a laptop and got wireless broadband instead of desktop broadband...

had my second bloods on friday and the results have bewildered and scared me. i should be about 6 weeks but my levels have only risen from 733 to 3000. apparently thats only half what it should be. clinic nurse says that many low levels end up in take home babies but there is also the chance that bubs has stopped developing. i dont have any more bloods until next friday and wont know for sure until im booked in for an ultrasound. im really scared and quite snappy, friday is so far way.....

Oh my goodness Sonya - that wasn't the greatest news to hear for you. This is going to be a long week for you. Can you not get an ultrasound sooner? (Like tomorrow?) Maybe the clinic is ok with the bloods and don't think you need to worry too much? I had a scan at 6 weeks and I'm really glad i did - made the next 6 weeks far easier to bear.

I'm thinking the hugest positive thoughts for you and the family.

I'm studying like a nutter at the moment - whenever my sister...who is STILL living here, leaves me in peace. She is starting work on Tuesday - it seems a shame to be looking forward to her going to work, but it's been 3 months now. And it's just a bit much IYKWIM. She doesn't move into her new place until the 17th of December though - aargh...more than 2 months away. But at least she will have a job now to keep her nice and busy - and she can start contributing to the bills!

So...back to the books, and apologies for the lack of personals - i do read them all - i just never get around to replying !!

Hi girls, hope you all had a good weekend.

Thanks Monnie, nice to know you still pop in to see how we are going.

Sonya darling, not the best news but you have come a long way, hopefully I will see you hear until the end. Take care and try to stay sane.

DJTTC, lucky you, might get to go in early, so hope I go in early as the sooner It happens the sooner I hold midget.
I cannot believe that you only have a few more weeks, its going so fast.

Mako, how did you go with doing up the nursery? Must feel so good now.

Kotare, studying…. Oh darling you and I are on the same boat…. I sometimes wonder how I still manage to get good marks when I have the placenta brains syndrome. I wonder how we will go with exams. If you have any, I wish you all the best with them.

DH and I did up the Garage on the weekend, and turned it in to the new Gym room, this means next weekend we start on the nursery.
Are we allowed to paint? Not sure if the fumes are ok…..

well better get back to work.
