Just a quickie to let everyone know I'm away for the next week. My first holiday in 4 years (I don't count trips to SA to visit in-laws as a holiday - more likely tortue). I'm worried about flashing my white belly to the world but I'm sure no-one really cares. We have a 7 hour drive up the coast so I'm hoping my son copes with the trip. But I'm just looking forward to veging out with my little family before it becomes a bigger family!

Hope everyone is well and look forward to hopefully hearing some good news when I get back.

    Hi Girls!

Still not having much time to myself, but getting better. Tomas is such a giggle monster, and has learned to roll from back to front and front to back, so is happy to entertain himself for a while..... Currently snoring on the lounge - a real little man already!

    How are you all!!

The ranks have thinned somewhat I see, and more new faces are present so that is so great!!

Sush - I was shocked to read about your DD. I am very glad that she is well, and starting to get her shine back. What an absolutely frightening experience for both of you. Hugs. I hear you on the swelling thing. I ended up like a michelin woman for the last few weeks, and then it stayed until about 3-4 weeks after birth (and there I thought it would go instantly the minute I delivered, dahhhh). I could not put on my running shoes even without shoelaces... thats how fat my feet were! I hope it does nto get that bad for you because it is rather uncomfortable!

Mel - Labour vibes to you!! Cannot wait to hear little WILL is here! Little boys are so much fun - I waste hours....

Beccy - great to see you here!

Shell - how is it going!!

Trish - your ticker is flying along!! So good to see!

Big hugs to all of you, Sush is right - next few weeks will be very exciting in this forum!

    Take care,

Sushee I'm shocked at the assult on your daughter and hope those responsible get their just desserts. I used to live in DH's trackies in the latter stages of my PG and DH said I looked like Tweedledee (definately not Tweedledum!) as I had to pull them up over my bump and all I needed was some braces to complete the picture!
Mel how are you doing? Looking forward to meeting William I bet!
Beccy I'm glad the midwife was able to put your mind at ease!

    Sammi,

    I'll be Tweedledum then! ROFL!

Gab, I love it when you come visit. And I love the michelin man description. I feel like it, that's for sure! Tomas sounds like a dream. Bet he's a cutie.

As for me, loads of BHs today, so while DH works on putting up the water feature, I'm staying in bed. DH has also apparently gone off "brendan" now, and is leaning towards "andrew", which I much prefer! We spent some of our honeymoon at St Andrews in Scotland and it holds some incredibly wonderful memeories for us.

Though at this rate, if the little'un is a boy, I think the name may be a surprise to the very end! Watch this space!

18 days until we meet Mel's little William!

    love

Gee everyone has gone AWOL 8-[

No personals today unfortunately I dont feel well so I think I'll take my toast and go back to bed for a bit. Had a very stressing day yesterday Dh came home from work (at the Casino) and said that he'd gotten assaulted by this guy for no reason whatsoever. Copped 4 punches to the head, some nice BIG goose eggs at his right and left temple, back right skull and side of his jaw. I knew this was a job hazard (He is a security officer) but when it happens for no reason, makes me mad. The guy will get his just rewards though, he's been charged and has to face court. Thankgod an off duty cop witnessed it. He is there to protect the patrons yet they keep beating security up :fuming: So I dragged him to the ER to settle my mind that he wasnt going to die Prego hormones at it again.

When it rains it pours I tell you - first the damage to the car, now this. Im scared to step outside the house now ](*,)

ETA - Sushee - how is your DD and whats happening with those thugs????

    Hi Sush!!

Yep Tomas is a dream (even when I look at him through my bleary eyes, LOL!!), but I guess any mum would say that about their baby!!

I think we should start a Sushee watch though - lots of BH, you just never know... I am glad you are having a wee rest. I got sick of hearing that advice before I had Tomas, and now i wish I listened more, LOL!!

I am hanging out in suspense to see who comes out though Sush - a little lady or a little man..... oh, well, not too long till we all find out!!

    No sign of Mel, hmmmmm.

Hope everyone is faring well otherwise ladies!!

    Hi there,
I know a lot of people here don't know me...I did IVF last year and had my beautiful girl at 28 weeks. Kyla was in hospital for 2 months and when she got home was a handfull due to feeding and digestive issues. Anyway - I feel bad that I dumped all my fellow TTCers and now things have settled down I have a lot more time for BB (if you guy's don't mind me butting into this thread...)
I do want to say hi to Mel, Sushee, Hayseed and congrats to all of you girls who have had babies or are finally pregnant (i have ducked my head into this and the LT TTC thread a fair bit, so feel like I know some of you who don't know me!)

Thanks Shazz...It took a while but I've now settled into being a mum and I love it! I never realised how difficult it would be though - especially the sleep deprivation!!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, Kyla was also conceived through IVF ICSI - I'm already thinking ahead to the next try, this will also be through IVF, I think i'll wait a little while though!

    Hi Girls,

I'm still here so don't get too excited!

Yes, sorry I meant to post yesterday but had a short stint on the computer and then had to go lie down for a while. "A while" then turned into most of the weekend so I'm sorry for the delay in posting and getting you all excited for no good reason. DH and I also had our anniversary on Saturday (six years). We went around the corner to the local Italian place which was nice because there was no big trip involved.

Gab - great to see you and to see the pictures of that dear boy. He looks more like you than ever!

Carrie - I'm so glad you came back to see us because I've been wondering how you and Kyla are. I remember when she was born back in August and hoping that things went well for you. From the photos, she looks wonderful so I hope she continues to go from strength to strength. Don't be a stranger here ... stuff is HAPPENIN' in the next few weeks so there'll be a few of us from Long Term TTC "graduating" soon.

Anna - So sorry about the worry with your DH. What is going on? First Sushee's daughter and now your husband. There's madness about. I have a friend whose husband is also a security guard and I know she has her share of sleepless nights from time to time. I'm glad that at least this guy will be answering for his actions.

Sushee - How is Ariani going? Hope she is feeling better. I have to tell you I like the name Andrew as well. It's a nice name ... so is Brendan of course but it's funny how it's your DH that is changing his mind!

Shell - Hope you have a pleasant last week at work ... it's good of you to stay and as Trish said I hope they give you a nice send off for your trouble!

Trish - Hope things are going well with you and your little men!

I've got my TENS class this morning so that should be interesting. Will let you know how it goes. We get to bring the machine home with us (on hire for a month). I'm probably tempting fate to say that I think the day isn't far off now ... I will be very surprised if WM comes late.

Has anyone been watching the Commonwealth Games? I've seen little bits of it ... the women's marathon yesterday was a good moment.

Anyway, I'll be back later to let you in on the mysteries of TENS and teach you the secret handshake ...

Hope you all have a good day.

    Love,

    Mel

    Morning girls!

Heya Carrie on coming back to BB and visiting us! I often wondered too how you were going with your little girl and it's nice to hear that you're enjoying motherhood and little Kyla. OMG already thinking about the next bub. I don't blame you I guess. Having babies, as tiring as it is, is such a rewarding, wonderful experience. What gorgeous little thing Kyla is! Makes me clucky as!

Gab, looking at Tomas' photos makes it worse! That pic of him at 11 weeks is a gem! I hope you have that one hanging somewhere in the house!

Mel, I am fascinated by the idea of the TENS machine, but have been quite lazy about sourcing out it's use. I would love to be privy to the secret handshake! I too reckon WM is not far off. I don't know, I reckon you, me and shell will have our bubs real close together.

Despite the BHs, I'm fairly confident I'll go a few more weeks at least. Probably not late either, but not this early. I had strong BHs everyday for two weeks before Zaki came, and this being my 4th, I reckon my body is starting preparations early! I still have no motherly instinct as to whether this will be a Lila or an Andrew/Brendan/Benjamin/whatever! So this will be as much a surprise to me as to the rest of you!

Anna, your poor DH. Must be a full moon or something, all the crazies are out in force. Not much news on my DD's case. The matter has been forwarded to the Cannington Detectives and they will contact us shortly, we've been told. In the meantime, Ariani and I have become really close, which is a great outcome from an unfortunate situation. She's almost back to normal, and I think this speaks to her resilience.

Skye, Sheree, Trish, Shazz et all, hope you girls are keeping well and travelling along uneventfully. DD has a day off today so we're heading out to look at plants for 'round the new water feature and to have some lunch.

    BBL

16 days until we meet Mel's little William!

    love
    sushee
