    Brown Discharge

    Sorry if TMI

I have had some light brown discharge this afternoon on my underwear, I have been having period like pains the last couple of days but nothing that has hurt too badly! When I wiped, there was some more and now nothing. I haven't lost my plug yet (that I know of but do toilet at night in the dark a few times so may have!).

Did anyone else experience this in pre-term labour? This is really the first thing I have had but I am 40 weeks today and last few days it even hurts to walk a little at times and feels like Bub is going to pop out?

    Thanks.

Not long now, this was the start of all my labours. It started of brown then went to a red colour. I just called the hospital to ask what they thought and to let them know what was happening.

I think it sounds like good advice to ring the hosp and ask what they think as they might want to see it...

Well I only have pain in my cervix now, like Bub is really pushing down. No more discharge though. See Ob this afternoon so hopefully he'll be able to tell me what's going on. This Bub really loves it in there, lol...she's enjoying it.

They do an internal and stretch it a bit (i think thats right! wait for an expert LOL) WTG with the 2cm!!! Did he say anything about induction?
Thinking of you and crossing everything that she hurries up.

Yeah I go in to hospital tomorrow if I don't labour naturally today! I thought last night was it, having contractions from 10pm every 15 minutes apart. This morning I don't have many pains at all, I don't even know if that's possible!!

OOh Hope they start again for you today! Good luck with it all!
Stretch and sweep I think they insert a finger and losen the membrane from the lining of the uterus all around in a big circle. This helps it to hang down a bit on the cervix, causing release of oxytocin: triggers contractions and encourages cervix to open more. Sounds like yours is doing its own thing anyhow. YAY
