Hmm, I can't draw from my own experience 'cause i've never been there before, but Docs don't know everything. Your a consumer not a patient. I would take a good long hard look at the information available, arm yourself to the teeth and simply ask how they have come to their conclusion.

I do know with my sister they insisted that her first was a baby of gigantic proportions, I can't remember te exact term, so they induced her early. Needless to say that baby was about 7lb, could have easily waited it out a week or so. But the induction lead to an emergency c section. Her second birth was a planed C section and she got the frowning of a lifetime frm the older midwives. There was no winning for her.
