I buy a roast once a fortnight with the shopping. I try and alternate, but the lamb out here is so fresh and much nicer than beef IMO. I do pork, turkey and chicken too.
No particular night though as what is Sunday really to a shiftworker lol?
Always me that cooks though...DH wouldn't even know where(or what for that matter) the roasting tray was...

Just the meat, three veg, seasoned with garlic, rosemary and salt and pepper. But that's the way we like 'em.
), I think from now on I need to do deserts to follow the roast too! It makes it more special, even if its just jelly and icecream! Fun for the kids.


If we have chicken I just go to RedLea and buy a ready to cook one that is pre seasoned and ready to cook. I also cook it in an oven bag to eliminate the splatter while its cooking. Oh and a large chook takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to cook.
