I add tasty cheese and tomato sauce to chicken maggie noodles - YUM![]()
Over the last few days I've been craving 2 minute noodles (umm..last time this happened I was pregnant - but this is unlikely).
I know some people add all kinda things to be creative with them...I never had previously, but if this craving keeps up, I'd like to be able to vary it a little so I don't get sick of them and so I can get some nutrients out of it.
So was just wondering what some of you do?
Thanks in advance

A friend of mine adds marg or butter after they are cooked and drained so they dont stick together. Also gives them some flavour.
My kids both LOVE tomato sauce on them.
Not very nutritious I know!
You could always make up a quick stir fry?
My sister's ex used to do an awesome omelette with cooked noodles, green onions and mized frozen vegies. He flipped it straight out of the pan too.
We get the ones that come with dehydrated veggies, and then add cheese and sauce. You could always add some fresh veggies or some pasta sauce.
I mix them with a bit of tuna and sometimes some creamed corn.
DH is a fan of the beef flavoured noodles with tasty cheese and BBQ sauce.
The omlette that snugglybean mentioned sounds like a good idea to make them a bit more interesting.
I never put stuff on them - ew, sorry guys but cheese and sauce is enough to turn my stomach!
But we do use them in soups, stir frys and chow mein.

i sometimes make them and then put some vegies or chicken in and then stir fry an egg thru them. a squirt of sesame oil at the end and voila - 3 minutes noodles!
I haven't done this for ages, but sometimes I would finely dice a carrot, some capsicum and any other vegies you like, then fry them in a small amount of oil. Cook the noodles and drain, then add the vegies. I would then sprinkle the flavour sachet (beef) over it all, and toss, then add a small amount of soy sauce. I have some funny tastes though!
Nic
My DF always has to put grated cheese on his
I just eat them plain (with the seasoning). Putting them in a stir-fry or something though (minus the flavouring packet) would work, and you can get them these days with a little packet of dried vegies. Can't really them now though..think I ate them too much when I was at uni![]()
I make them up for the kids, and add some mixed vegies and then grated cheese. My kids love it like this... sometimes if I have left over roast beef or chicken I will add that too and change the noodles to match the meat.
PEAS
I cook mine with frozen peas, chicken noodles left in the liquid with frozen peas, oh yum!!
Another cheese fan here
My first boyfriend way back when I was 15 used to boil the noodles, add some butter and about 3/4 of the seasoning satchet after they were drained, and then some cheese.
Heart attack in a bowl...but I'm 35 now and I still eat them like that![]()
I always cook them up minuse the flavor & pop into a stirfry...cheaper than other stirfry noodles & last a long time in the cupboard.
And I must say eeeewwww, LOL I've never thought to add anything but the flavour & I'm not sure about some of those,he,he.
Thanks everyone.
This sounds alright...i think a lady a work had this once...i just couldn't remember what vegie she put with it, but i knew it had tuna and I'm pretty sure she added some cheese as well.
Nic - that one ain't funny at all...thinking if I'm home for lunch today...then I might be doing this one....yum!
Chicken noodle salad...
(I use left overs from a roast/bbq chook, about 1/2 - 2/3 cup)
Cook noodles without seasoning, rinse under cold water. Chop 1/4 red onion, a few slices of cucumber (cut into quarters), 1/3 carrot cut into sticks, 1/3 capsicum, 3-4 tablespoons of tinned corn kernals.
Toss noodles, vege's, and chicken together in a bowl. Add a splash of soy sauce (and lemon if you have it).
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yum! I eat it cold and its so bloody good!
drain the juice and add grated cheese and mix!
