Haven't read through all the SC threads, but I just love my slow cooker, especially in winter, although I am too much of a worrier to let it go while I'm at work during the week, so generally I only use it on weekends!
I do have a nice recipe for chicken drumsticks/wings, the taste can be a little strong though, so maybe not so good for little kids.
Lovely served with rice and some of the sauce/juice poured over as it soaks into the rice. Great if you dont like eating chicken off the bone (like me!), as the meat just falls off once it is cooked.
"Touch of the Orient Chicken"
6 chicken drumsticks
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 cloves garlic (i just use diced/minced garlic from a jar, about 3 tsp)
410g can diced or crushed tomatoes
Remove excess fat from chicken and place in bottom of slow cooker. In a bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and tomatoes, stirring well. Pour over chicken and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until tender.

). Looks like that is what I have to do today, instead of making a dessert in the SC. Doesn't matter, will let you all know if my successes continue.
