    Morning girls!

Kellie, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time with BFing Lily. I think it's fantastic that you are sticking with it though - especially after what you went through after the birth. Hopefully the LC will be a big help.

Danni, there's nothing wrong with going to bed at 8:30! We have to sleep when we can!

Melissa, ouch on the mastitis. Hopefully the next course of antibiotics will help clear it up.

Kris, Ben has changed his patterns a bit in the past few days and seems to have his unsettled time during the day now too - thank goodness! We had a really bad night on Thursday night and again on Friday night, but the past two nights have been fantastic and I feel human again. DH and I are going to venture off to the mall today.

Ben went for his first outing in the hug-a-bub on Friday and LOVED it. We went grocery shopping and he was looking around for the first three aisles and then fell asleep and didn't wake up until we were home. I can't tell you how glad I am he loves the HAB!!!

Great news about the HAB! Im too scared to use mine as Mason has a habit of swinging his head around violentally to look at everyone/everything and Im worried he wont be able to do that in the HAB so he will get upset??

    Hi!

aagghh - we had a pretty ordinary night and are having a pretty rough day. I quickly raced out with Louis and have done the food shopping and dh said Dylan was unsettled the whole time I was gone! I've now fed him and put him down so hopefully he has a biggish sleep so I can too!

Disgirl - It's amazing how good you feel after a decent sleep - I feel great if I get 3 hours in a row at night lol!
I've got a baby carrier thing but I worry about his little neck at this early stage. I never used it that much with Louis but will definitely need to use it with Dylan...

Danni - Hmm not sure about how many girls...There are soooo many boys though! We're going to have to raise them well as there will be a fight on when their older! LOL!

K - going to try and lie down...

It seems ages since I've been on here and i've just caught up with all of your experiences. Glad to hear that you are all travelling well with your little ones.

Luke is sleeping well but we have our off nights at least once a week, where he won't settle for at least a couple of hours. BFing is going well except sometimes when he first latches on it hurts but then it's fine once he starts feeding. Not sure if I should go see a LC for it but am off to the baby clinic next week so may mention it to them.

Well better get going as have dishes and washing to do...

    Hi!

We had an interesting afternoon - first of all Dylan explosively pooed and it came out so fast that it hit our bedroom door and ran down to the carpet - gross! Then after I'd cleaned that up he vomited up his whole feed...grrr! You have to laugh about it really though...I hope I'm not eating stuff to make him upset though....

Iona - Glad you're going so well! Sounds like Luke is a dream! Dylan hurts me when he first goes on the boob as well - I think it's because he has a super suck on him! I think as long as it doesn't hurt the whole feed it's ok...??? Not sure though...

Hope you got a rest in Kristie.

Mats is going really well, feeding and sleeping. He loves rides in the pram and the car, guaranteed to put him to sleep. I have been using the Baby Bjorn periodically, but never for long stretches (ie more than half and hour) and he seems happy to be in there. I am up and down for 3 hourly feeds at night, he is still a bit unsettled in the early hours of the morning.

I had a painful breast yesterday, I presume a blocked duct. And was a bit feverish during the night, but I put him on that breast for nearly every feed and massaged it a bit while feeding so he could unblock it. Seems to have worked because I don't feel the same pain today.

    Better go, duty calls.

    Hi!

Deb - We haven't been out and about that much but I hope he loves the car as much as Louis used to! The day feeds for me are ranging from 2 1/2 - 3 hours at the moment and nights seem to be around the same...Soo tiring but I knew what I was in for - lol.
Great job on clearing your duct...I've had a few little lumps here and there but have managed to get rid of them before they've turned into anything...my boobs have settled down heaps now though and I keep forgetting which one I've fed on because they're quite soft...I've got heaps of milk though judging by the vomits - hehe!

Dylans had a big sleep so I've managed to get dinner cooked and cleaned the house already - yeah! So now just waiting to feed him and then I can chill out and head off to bed! I hope we all have good nights tonight!!

Well I think I jinxed myself - Luke had an up down day where he would only sleep for an hour at a time and was feeding him every 2 hrs or there abouts and tonite I go to feed him and I find that my nipples are cracked on one it's on the top and on the other it's on the bottom.

Kristie, I had Luke leak on me yesterday before we went to a BBQ. Mark put the nappy on so I blamed him lol. Mark says the same about Luke with the super suck he noticed it when he fed him a bottle.

Caro: I cant even begin to imagine how hard it is for you. I am stressed out to the max and not coping well myself atm, and I keep saying to Dh "What if we had another child at home too?"

I really hope you find a way to get on top of it all.

We have our first MCHN visit today thank god. Mason has been choking on mucous again so I need to find out if they can suction it out for him. He never cries except when he has it

Danni, Ben's fine in the HAB. He has a pretty strong neck and throws his head around a lot, but the HAB kinda holds it in place. I thought I might have trouble with my massive boobs being in the way, but it's not a problem. Ben's in the HAB right now actually as he was taking a while to settle after his feed.

We had another good night. The midwife came out today and he's put on more weight I've got one more midwife visit before they discharge me and the Family Heath Nurse takes over. The mw was really pleased with our bfing 'technique' so that made me happy and more confident. I'm waiting for my folks to get here so we can take Ben and the dog for a walk.

    Hey Danni,
I have a girl, Olivia, who was born on the 1st of April, I think shes the oldest in this group!!! And I think you are right there are only 2 other girls! Olivia was the only girl in our due date group. I think there must have been something in the water, or in our case not!!!!
As for me, I went to the doctors again last night and have mastitis in the left breast. I thought the ab's from the right side mastitis would keep things clear, but I was wrong
I am still expressing, but not much, so the doc has given me some tablets to clear up my milk. At the start of this whole bf saga, I felt like a failure, especially after the day stay at the lactation clinic, BUT now I dont care because I have my sanity back and Olivia is stacking on the weight, not loosing it like she was while I was bf.
So things are good here, just over a week left until we see the specialist about going into a harness for her hips.
Sorry I dont do personals atm, just busy, like you all are, but am keeping up to date with everyones progress. Hope you are all well.
    Love Melissa

Hi Everyone. Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself (to those I don't know from the Belly Buddies group)

Well, I can add one more girl to the list amongst all these boys! My DD Hazel Alice was born on Thursday 26th of April and weighed 3.14kg. She is truly gorgeous.

We are both doing well so far, no baby blues and BF well. One of my nipples is a bit sore when she latches on but ok when she gets going. Not too tired yet, she sleeps pretty well most of the time, and I actually had to wake her yesterday for a feed. In general she seems like a really chilled out and calm baby, but I know that could change any time so I won't get too complacent!

Need to change my ticker, I know, and will get around to it one of these days!
Looking forward to getting to know you all
