Rach - Awww, that's so lovely. We had our christening on the weekend and my two best friends were D's godmothers
Well it sounds like we are in a very similar routine to most of you.
Last night however was HORRENDOUS! It took me two HOURS to settle him off to sleep. I'm not sure if he's teething again because his bottom gums are all red and inflamed or if it was just a bad night. I guess I"m getting a little disheartened because I really don't want to go down the same road we did with DS1, it seriously nearly did me in. In the end we went to sleep school when he was 10 months and although I don't regret it, I don't want to go back again. I'd feel like a total failure D was such a wonderful sleeper to start with (and still is during the day), I seriously don't know what's happened. I'm just trying to ride it out for now but some nights it does my head in.
We are doing a bit better with solids this week, tried sweet potato and corn and he loved it! He also surprised me by sipping water out of a sippy cup today, one of the Tommy Tippee ones with the straw I'd be pretty happy if we can just skip straight to those cups.
He had his check up with the paed yesterday and he was happy, we don't have to go back for another 4 months He is a whopping 9.8kg and 68cm long. His HC has only grown by about 1cm in the past 3 months so that was good news.
Better go, someone needs to be fed!
