Lauren: Hope Ash goes ok at the Drs tomorrow. he is a great size isn't he Keep on growing Little (big) Man

Took Olivia to the Drs today for a check up.. all is going great her heart is perfect! We discussed seeing a pead and our GP has said that Olivia is 100% healthy (apart from a cold) He said that what happened was most likely a one off and in his medical opinion should not happen again. I do feel reassured and am happy to go with what he says.. We also stopped the Ab's as they are going through her and really aren't doing anything.. I will still worry but I feel better knowing her heart is all good.. Now to go through the mummy paranoia that I am doing the right thing..

Buzzie - Hope Ash was just over excited.

Nic - thats great news, must be a huge weight off of your mind. Trust your instincts you are a great mum and i am sure you are doing the right thing.

I am over baby spew, i have change my shirt 3 times today & yesterday, gone thru 3 wraps both days, 4 sets of bedding & lost count of how many times i have to change Vicky's shirts, plus she is swimming in drool and it was freezing this morning - 1 degree - and the same to come tomorrow morning. At least both kids are sleeping until at least 6am.

Lauren - Wow Ash really is getting big! We should organise another Melb meet up soon so we can see just how much all the bubs have grown. Good luck at the doctors tomorrow.

Nic - Good to hear that the doctor isn't too worried. But mummy paranoia is a good thing I think...

My mothers group went to the park today which was nice. It was a little cool but ok in the sun. Olivia had a great time laying on the picnic rug with the other babies and trying to hold their hands - she has a real fascination with hands at the moment.

I forgot to mention that we started Gymbaroo last week. Olivia seems to enjoy it, it gives her the opportunity to try out equipment and interact with other bubs so I think it is a good thing. The best thing about it is that it TOTALLY wears her out. Literally 1 minute after the end of the session she is asleep (before we get to the car), I am not kidding. So Mondays are a good day for mummy Lauren, did you end up signing Ash up for Gymbaroo?

Michelle- Hi there, woohoo for the 12th of Dec bubba’s. Gabe has also had a few feeding issues but is a real chubba too so it must have been the day for it hehe. Goodluck with the immunizations – I hate them- I can’t wait until they are further apart.
Louise- Happy 6 months to Sofia! Are you happy to be back at work? I was just looking at your ticker, my DD was born in Aug 05 (12 weeks prem) and I have Gabe born in Dec 07, so our kids are similar in age. How early was Sofia, is she doing well?
Liz- Gabe’s sleeping was bad in the sleeping bag to, so I have him out of it tonight to see if he’s any better. Hmm, toilet training, my DD is mostly TT during the day but seems to have gotten a bit lazy recently and has be wetting a bit more (probably because I have been putting pull-ups on her when we go out).
TeenaRose- Go Olivia! Hope you don’t have to suffer with the mouth pain for too much longer.
Nic-Glad to hear Olivia appears to be back to her normal self and that her sleeping has been better. Unfortunately Gabe is still not sleeping very well, I don’t know what’s up. I put him down around 8.30pm and already his woken up twice crying – so I’ve given him some panadol to see if that helps.
Jas- Hi there. Hope that Ethan is feeling better tomorrow and that his temp has gone down.
Buzzie- I Hope that all goes well at the doctors tomorrow and that there are no issues to worry about. Go Asher with that great weight – must be a happy bubba!
Morgan- Yeah, you gotta love that baby spew!

Well, as I was saying to Nic, Gabe has been a bit funny the last few days not sleeping well at all. Don’t know what’s wrong but I hope the panadol helps!

ETA ALicia- Kyla goes to Gymbaroo but I haven't done it with Gabe yet - what center so you go to?

Carrie - Maria and Sofia were both nearly 6 weeks early. They are both doing really well. Sofia is now over 3 times her birthweight so that is great, she is growing much quicker than Maria did.

Work is hard, but I think it is the travelling this week and the information overload that is the hardest. I am sure in the weeks that come it will all settle down. Sofia is a hit at the office and has quite a few people wrapped around her tiny little finger. I have to think of starting her on solids soon, I am in no hurry as I would rather her be closer to her corrected age than real age. She is actively watching us put food from the plate to our mouths now. Still not rolling but is nearly able to sit up, I want her stomach muscles.

    Hi Ladies,

My internet limit has been exceeded and now I only have dial up speed, and it is taking too long for me to go back and read the last thread. Sorry if I miss anything

Welcome Jas -I live in Logan and would love to meet up with you and Morgan one day. Wednesdays and Fridays are good for me. I don't have a mothers group this time around and I really miss hanging out with other mums with bubs the same age.

Nice ti see Rory, Teena, Liz, Louise and Michelle pop in!!!!

Nic - Glad Olivia's heart has been given the ok. Do go with your gut if you think you need to take things further.

Carrie - I hope Gabe is feeling better soon...Love his name btw

Some one asked about weddings on a budget? I have some tips and I will pm you when my internet is back to normal

Miss Loren is rolling evereywhere now and she is holding her sippy cup by herself!!!!

Best go before DH gets back and finds me on BB...oh yeah don;t mention the poor sleep deprived husband issue!!! My poor dh only has to get up once in a while to our girls and I hear about it for the whole day

ash sounds like he's going to be a big boy. but i hope everything goes ok for tomorrow.

with the girls back at school yesterday, it was so quiet. mirani was so funny when we went to pick them up at the end of the day. as soon as she saw tia and alisha, she started laughing and didnt stop until we were back in the car.

    take care,

Carrie - We go to the Williamstown Gymbaroo as it is the closest to our house. You?

Lauren - I hope everything went ok at the doctors today.

Bek - I hear you on the sleep deprived hubby. Mine likes to come home in the afternoon and have an after work nap! Not like he has a physical job or anything

HELP!!! My beautiful self-settling baby is refusing to go to bed now and is waking during the night, which is new as well. It is getting frustrating. She can be fast asleep (on the couch, floor, car capsule...) but as soon as she gets within 30cm of the bassinette she starts screaming - it is like she has an anti-bassinette radar! We started a bedtime routine of food (at about 6ish) followed by bath, massage, bed and that seemed to work for about a week but not anymore. Not sure if it is teething or she;s just decided to make our lives hard

Also kitchen renovations started today and when they tore up all the terrible lino the floor boards that we wanted to polish are not safe and need replacing. I had to call in a huge favour with friend of a friend to get him to come in tomorrow and replace the floors because otherwise the new cabinets can't be fitted and I have no kitchen! On the plus side it means we went out for dinner

Nic- Wow on the sleep, that is great! How come everyone else’s bubs seem to sleep well in them? I’m trying Gabe in his again tonight. Do you have a slow cooker already or is it a new thing? Isn’t it great when you get a good sleep!
    Morgan-Thanks, unfortunately another bad night.
    Lauren-Hope the Dr went ok
Jas-I’m glad Ethan is a better today. Gabe is also a loud one!
Louise- That’s great that they are both doing so well now. It is such a relief to get past those worrying first weeks.
Bec- Thanks re: Gabe’s name! Woohoo on Loren rolling now, is she going both ways?
Michelle- So is it just you and Mirani during the day now? How cute that she was happy to see them!
Alicia- I’m way out the other side of Melbourne at Mooroolbark! I hope Olivia has a good sleep for you tonight. Ooh kitchen reno’s – I wish I could get ours done. What a pain with the floors.

Nothing much happening here. Gabe had another bad night despite the panadol. I took DD to gymbaroo today and then did heaps of washing and ironing. Hope everyone has a good night

    Hi all,
Just a very quick post to say yay!! finally got the internet back on after three days of no service- I was having BB withdrawals...
A few qucik points- I'll read through properly and reply properly tomorrow...
Swim lessons were good, very heated complex and pool- it's about 35 degrees in there and was just floating the babies around and singing songs and playing with pool toys, no head or ears underwater but... maybe not such a good idea. Ty loved it- smiled and giggled the whole way through but now that little cough that i was worried about has developed into full blown croup... it's terrible, the poor little guy was struggling to breath today. GP says it's viral and probly not from swimming but i don't know....
Chat more tomorrow... ahh BB is back! I feel better already

Hi all, Doctors was pretty good she couldnt grab anything that stood out from the ordinary but being a baby there are protocols they have to follow and all babies with heart issues have to be recomended to a ped. We couldnt get the baby size blood pressure thing around his arm cos he was too small, but he had to be sent off for an ECG for a better heart reading. He was fantastic and laid still the whole time like a little star fish!
Havent got the results yet but they put an urgent on it so hopefully today.

will come back later to post.
