Shell - I'm with you! I would love a baby that slept for long periods!

AFM - went around for a family BBQ to the outlaws, and Alex fell asleep shortly after arriving and slept for almost 4 hours!! Of course DH and I were absolutely knackered and we couldn't have a sleep! ARGH!! It sucks being an adult sometimes!

Nai - I just realised from another thread that we were both in FPH at the same time. A shame we didn't know each other to go say hi

Nai- I actually got out the swaddle rug thing that does up with velcro. There is now ay she is getting out of that! She is asleep now but I am wondering for how long.... I have also noticed she is becoming fussy on the boob, waving her arms everywhere pulling on and off. I am glad to hear that they get over it. Hope you have some entertaining coming up so that you can make use of that new pergola of yours. So jealous!

We had a really lovely day today. SInce DP had to work tonight we decided to have some friends over for a BBQ brunch and it was soooooo good! I love breakfast esp hot breakfast! Even had a glass of champagne and OJ as I had just fed Ash. I actually felt a bit human and my lovely guests even washed up for me! They can come round anytime!!

Tarkine- Isnt it easy in life being a baby, you get pushed around everywhere, cuddled all the time and not a care in the world, oh and dont get me started on te freedom to sleep whenever they want or choose to. I am starting to reminise (sp?) about my sleep ins when I was pregnant...long gone now!

Kaz- Sounds like your supply is building now which is good but you must be so exhausted. Have you thought about expressing in the bath? At least it might be a bit relaxing for you and I heard it can help with getting a good let down. Big to you hun

Megie- Hope you get another night like last night. That sounds like its getting on the right track.

Shell- I want a sleeper too! Have you used wind drops to help with the wind pain? I think they can have them after they reach one month??? The other girls might know more about them.

Jols- how is your DH at putting IKEA things together? Or do you have a good neighbour like Nai does that can put it altogether

ETA- Rainbow Raver- I hope your nipples heal up. When mine got grazed, i just kept on espressing colostrum or milk on them and let them air dry at night you are doing a great job trying

    hey girls
    all good here
Laura- love the new avvy- very spunky! Get that nipple cream that everyone raves about- lansinoh- or something like that- it is ace!! Keeps my nips in tip top condition!!LOL

to those mummas getting slabs of sleep- whoot- that is awesome- for those who arn't- hang in there - it will happen!!!

Levi hardly slept Easter Sunday- cat napped here and there and was at IL's at nite- there were heaps of kids so he wouldnt sleep- finally after they all went home he to sleep at 11.30pm. Hence today he has slept all day and all nite- he was stuffed. He would wake for feeds- stay awake for minutes, and then zzzzzz. So hopefully he sleeps tonite- but i reckon he will be up every couple of hours.

We planned my nan's funeral today so that is on friday. Its the first time the twins have had to deal with death in the face. They are both very sensitive and very 'in tune' with the universe so although they are at one with it all- its still going to be a biggie. DS esp picks up on things of the spiritual nature so it will be interesting how he deals with a funeral. He is a Chrystal child and DD is a rainbow child.

Kazz- awesome of the expressing and the feeding- i hear ya!!! that is what i used to do with the twins- including the expressing!! Its damm hard and i use to average around 40 mins off in between. One thing i did learn was to go to sleep very quickly- lol- hang in there!!!! It is worth it and you are doing the right thing!!!

Thinking of taking the 3 kids to the zoo by myself tommorow. Its gonna be a nice day. Anyone want to join me?? LOL Wish me luck- nah it will be all good

hugs to everyone else - gotta get some sleep - my eyes are sore so i must be tired lol

Thanks girls! im loving the new me!

As for the raid business, yeah it was pretty damn scary i was sitting on the couch shaking!!

Meg- thats great to hear you got some sleep hopefully you can get some more tonight!

Nai - WOOT! on the sleep! you must feel so refreshed! hows the pergola going!?

Ali - congrats on 'trying' to DTD.. im still not even interested! we have done it wasnt great. i hope things settle down for you so you can get some sleep!! xx

AJP - are you ok? go right ahead and have a tantrum!! i have never been to ikea! from the sounds of it i would probably come back a little bit poorer too!! haha

tarkine - DD wont take a dummy either, i suppose its kind of good in a way? is there anyone who can come and watch alex while you have a nap?

shell - LOL @ the chicken comment. kids say the cutest things sometimes!! this may sound like a silly question but have you tried baby panadol for the wind pain?

Kaz - sounds like he may be having a growth spurt? just remember it will pass i hope you get out of the house soon it sucks being home all the time xx

big hello to OP, heaven, MelanieKate, amy and tracey.. hope you girls are doing ok!!
im so sorry if i have missed anyone!!

AFM: Bella is doing ok, today has been a wierd day she hasnt slept for more than 20 mins at a time and has been demand feeding.. (is that normal for a formula fed baby?)
As for the breats feeding - everything was going great but i got really bad grazed nipples again and was almost in tears everytime i fed her. The thing i dont get is her attatchment was ok because for the first couple of days it didnt hurt at all when i fed her and i could see she was getting a good mouthfull then all of a sudden it just started to hurt and i realised my BBs were really badly grazed!
Is anyone in here going to the melb meetup in june?

Sending everyone lots of sleepy vibes xx
