Yay DH is home and helping at the moment! He has been MIA for the past few days, working as usual. So use this opportunity to catch up on BB.

Vanita - should have spoken up earlier hey. Fancy willingly going without *'O'*, the things we do! WTG on the cosmetic surgery. I love seeing those programs where they get everything done! I don't think I would have the courage to get surgery though.

Kate - thanks for that if it doesn't work, I will send you another email address. I am still waiting for my platinum membership to come through. Does anyone know if it usually take a while? This was a present for getting preggers again. Anyways,is intersting to read the wonder week we're going through. Al is definately more affectionate at times, and we have had 2 nights where dinner was out of the question, full tantrum, no bath and early to bed. Mind you he has been sleeping better too. Yay Kelse and Al, keep it up!!!!!!(except the tantrum bit)

Gemma - my Dh is a high protein low carb eater and he is thin as a pole. So its probably a good way to lose weight. Everything in moderation is my motto, although that usually goes out the window when confronted with a pack of tim tams. Good luck with the diet, and most importantly, get some exercise in.

Bel - WTG Coby and his swimming! When you say you're not calm, I'm sure we all go through times when we are so frustrated by the babies. The acupuncturist might be able to help if you feel you are on a short fuse at times.

Brooke - how is Princess Maya going? I love to hear from you, so just post whenever you can. have you kept up the walking?

Hi Rachel - how is Blake? I hope he's better now.

    Hi Hayseed - hows Pup?

Hi girls. I'm a bit beat tonight so a selfish post. Pup was up every hour from midnight last night. He settled ok, but I felt that I had no sooner put my head on the pillow than he was crying again. He is a little bit sick - just a little bit - so maybe that was it. He did have a temp (38) last night and this morning he still had a temp so I gave him some baby panadol. He got another dose this arvo cause it was still a bit elevated. But other than a tiny phlemy cough (which I think he got cause he choked on some juice the other day) and the temp, he seems to be healthy enough. Just the sleeping thing is an issue. And tonight, he was asleep for about 45 mins and was screaming the place down. I settled him ok, but he never does this. Hope it is just one of those things that he gets over in a couple of days.

We went to the MCHN today. He now weighs 9.2kg and is 78cm long. She told me to have him eating a bit more finger food because I still have him on reasonable smoothish food....he just won't eat lumps off a spoon. So I have to start getting a bit more organised at dinner times so I can give him finger type stuff rather than getting something out of the freezer, zapping it and feeding it to him. If I make bulk stuff, it tends to be a blended thing.

Anyway, that's about it from us. We have our mum's group meeting tomorrow, but I guess I'll need to see how Pup is before we go. i'm sure he'll be fine though.

kate, seeing as you have it scanned, I'd love to read the WW chapter too. [email protected] will get me.

    Love to all.

Kate - sorry about the hassle with my email! grrr. Sent you another address, hope we have more luck. I'm not sure about the journal, I guess so! More for the benefit/interest of bub later than any other reason. But nice that people are interested to follow the story. I have been sneaking in and reading yours now and then, and it is wonderful to see the progression. No morning sickness, lets hope I can skip it this time around again..
    speaking of feeling sick..
we went to the zoo today! It was a present for Al's birthday from a friend of ours who is in charge of the butterfly/rainforest enclosure there. So we went behind the scenes to see how they grow the butterflies and other reptiles. Fascinating stuff, but seeing buckets full of bugs and other stinky things they had back there made me feel so nauseous. Now everything smells like those smelly bugs!
Al enjoyed seeing the big cats and the monkeys. Everything else was a bit too far away or too small for him to notice and he slept for a while too. Next year I think it will be a lot more fun for him.

We had another night of screaming and then early to bed. He just won't eat his dinner. Tomorrow I will give him a big decent lunch so he gets all his protein in then. I'm beginning to get worried about this pattern,he is skinny enough as it is.

Brooke- yoga is going well. It is not as I hoped with quiet time and all, but I just do it whenever I can, even with Al playing nearby. He usually laughs at me. Thanks for the *sleep dust*

Well that was a big update from here!

    Morning everyone,

Deb – It would have great to go behind the scenes apart from the smell. Maybe when Al’s a bit older he might appreciate it more. It’s good to know your DH eats that way too. Hopefully it will work for me as well.

Kate – Thanks again for the WW chapter. How was Kelsey’s birth? I know you had her naturally but forget your birth story, sorry. I think from memory it went well and you should have no problems with this baby. I think I mentioned it before that my SIL first was 9lb 7oz (girl) and her second was 6lb 1oz (boy) and he belly was much bigger. Have you thought about checking out spotlight for curttains? They have some ready to hang ones which are reasonably priced. Have fun today with your family.

Hayseed – Sorry to hear Pup is now well, I hope he gets better soon and you get some rest. Hopefully you can go to your mothers group today.

Brooke – How sweet of Maya to kiss you both! It must be so reassuring that she is enjoying daycare and you don’t need to worry about her. For their social development, daycare is very good. Thanks for the sleep dust!

    Hi Vanita & Rachel.

Amy fell asleep right on her bed time at 9pm last night and slept beautifully all night!

I have not long got home from the Gp's as Dion has been chesty ( again) and it turns out both he and Rianna have a violent case of tonsilitis. Gp thinks this may have all been happening last week, and possibly the cause for the non feeding.............It hurt to swallow, so thats why he didnt want to bb feed.... I wonder, oh well lets see how the anti's kick in, he said if they dont improve in the next few days they need to go to hospital for IV anti's, so heres hoping the orals work.

    Me here quickly.

Kate, got the email. Thanks very much. Will read it later on.

Pup woke every hour again last night. At 4am I was in tears and he was still screaming. I have no idea what is going on, but I thought that like Dion, he might have a sore throat. in fact, this morning, I have woken (!) up witht he start of one. Maybe he has one too????? How do you tell???? So I feel like a wreck. Mum's group was good - it always is. The meet is getting longer and longer. We usually go from 2 -4pm, but we are now finding ourselves leaving at 5pm..

Ohh gotta go. Dinner time for the boy.

    HI all,

well I've got all 3 of mine DH, DD & DS in bed. DH has caught my germs and pretty much collapsed when he got home from work. Of course I just took that in my stride and looked after and fed DD & DS, bathed, dressed, played with and put them both to bed. I guess I do it more nights than not by myself, but gee I wish it was the other way round sometimes so he gets a feel of what I have to always do. (OK, B!tch over!)

Blake, I think is making up for lost time. Last week he only wanted to sleep and not eat, this week he's not sleeping much and eating like there's no tomorrow. I'm feeding him close to twice as much as I used to in a meal, or he's coming back an hour later to say how starving he is, and he promptly demolishes everything in sight. Last night he was after Viv's yoghurt, then he has something else... actually that was the night before. Last night he finished a huge dinner when DH came home from work. When he came inside he picked Blake up. He promptly pointed at the pantry cupboard and grunted, interpret as "I want something from in there". DH opened the door and Blake pointed and grunted again, interpret as "get me a Marie biscuit out and give it to me!" I couldn't believe how much he wanted food. I gave in and him a cracker instead. He wasn't so impressed but ate in anyway.

Hay, Blake's a bit like Pup in the fact that he's not sleeping too well. He keeps waking up during the late evening, then again all through the night. I've spent quite a few nights in bed with him in his room. He always sleeps so much better with me. In fact last night he didn't wake at all once we were together. When he did stir and start playing I was still trying to settle him down until I looked at the clock and it was 7.23am. Can't complain with that. I just want him to sleep better and by himself. Oh to wake up in my own bed!

Brooke, I'm so pleased to hear that Maya's doing well at day care. When I first started working when Viv was a baby, I hated the thought of leaving her in care but had no other choice. But after a few days care, and I'd watch her through the window once I'd left, she settled really quickly and was having a great time. She really thrived and I'm sure that's why she's such a well balanced girl now. Maya's such an awesome girl, I bet she's really enjoying herself. She's so talented with her talking too, and I love how she kisses you and Dan. *sigh* what a princess!

Vanita, I'm so sorry Dion's sick again. At least it may give you an answer as to why he wasn't feeding, and perhaps why he was being so horrible for you. Fingers crossed the oral anti's work for him. Big hugs for him and Rianna. There's lots going around at the moment, so it's not surprising they've got a bug. Hope it clears up really quick.

Gemma, great news that Amy settled well and fell asleep in her bed last night. She's such a champion. I hope she keeps it up for you. Not sure if I've missed a post... Any news re TWW? Can't wait to catch up next week.

Kate, great news about your check with the other 'OB'. He sounds like he's got the right attitude. I knew that Blake was always going to be a bigger baby than Viv was (7lb 5oz) but everyone (OB's, M/Ws) told me he'd be about 8lb. With that in mind I easily birthed him naturally and he turned out to be 9lb1oz - much bigger than Viv was! I think if you just believe you can do it, you will. Remember, your body will just do it. It knows what it's all about and you will be fine. Kelse was a big girl too. You'll have no probs, I'm sure.

Deb, your trip to the zoo sounds fabulous - well of it except the bugs! We haven't taken Blake yet, but I'm sure he'd love it. He loves animals. How are you feeling? Any m/s yet? Hopefully not. Did you get any with Al? Can't wait to follow this pg with you. Your yoga sounds like lots of fun. If I tried, Blake would just crawl over me and treat me like the human adventure playground that I am! He loves it when I'm on the floor with him.

Bel, WTG with Coby's swimming. What a little champion! We've only taken Blake to the pool a couple of times. I should try and get him there more often! I hope your accupuncture works for you. Fingers crossed. I have to say, that Blake does the Frankenstein walk too. Now that he's back on his feet postillness that is. He was only crawling for a few days. I think it took him a while to get his balance and his confidence back.

Not much other news from here. I've been busily making leotards for Vivienne's skating. She has another competition next weekend and as she's got a new piece of music she needs to have a new costume to wear. I had two new leotard patterns so I wanted to try them out before I made them into full-on costumes as you never know what the fit is like. I'm really pleased with how easy they were to make. They look great too, if I do say so myself. Tomorrow we're off to a great fabric store - well I've been told it is - to find the fabric for her costume. She's skating to the piece of music at the end of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, where he rejoins his ship and it takes off. I'm not really sure what to do with the costume. I mean I'm not going to ahve her dress like E.T. but I need something to link it with the film. At the end of the film it's night time and when the ship flies across the sky it leaves a rainbow. I was thinking about something made out of navy crushed panne with stars on it(you know that light weight stretchy velvet), with perhaps a rainbow from the left hip, going over the body diagonally to over the right shoulder, with the rainbow ribbony strips hanging loose from over her shoulder, down her back, IYKWIM. Gemma, you used to skate. Got any ideas?

OMG what a marathon post. See what happens when I don't post for a few days!

    Love to all.
    xx

Woo Rach, massive post! Still no MS and none with Al either. So I might be a lucky one.
Good to hear Blake is on his feet. How is your SIL going these days?

Kate - Thanks, the emails came through. Will print them so I can take them away with me and study them. Is Kelse still sleeping better? Al is. Although 3 nights now without dinner, tantrum then bed about 6pm!! Wakes at 5am though. Not sure what is going on with this new pattern...sounds like .... a wonder week!

Hay - poor love. Read those wonder weeks, you should feel better about this if it is a developmental thing.

Vanita - oh bugger about the tonsilitis. Hope the orals work for him.

We are off to a friend's place out in nature somewhere in the middle of Sweden. Will catch up with you all after the weekend. Have a good one (and I know I know Vanita, I've packed the aeroguard hehe).

Hi girls, just a quick selfish post from me, I was amazed when I jumped back on here at how much you girls have posted! Geez, give a girl a chance to catch up!! tee he he!

I had to go to a funeral yesterday for a friends baby, she died at 13 days old, lots of complications when she was born, it was traumatic for them both with both receiving blood transfusions and then bub had kidney and liver failure, she faught on for 13 days, but passed away sadly about a week ago. It was just awful, my poor friend and her hubby are ambulance officers and they spend their lives saving other people's lives, and for this to happen to them is just not right. It was their first baby too, just awful.

Has anyone been through anything similar? Any suggestions on something that I can do to help them out in the days/weeks/months to come? I know that phoning etc lets them know that I care, but I want to be able to actually do something for them.....

Other than that, Coby is feral, chucking tantrums all the time and Im just not coping with that, I feel bad for not liking it considering what my friend has just had happen to her, I should be cherishing everything that Coby does, not thinking that Im hard done by...

Also AF has arrived YAY!! At least the acupuncture is working, funny how I went to her on Monday and its all working again straight after that.....I have to wait a while for my next appointment, its not until 28 October, she's going off to have a baby (how dare she - tee he he!) so will have to wait until she's back on board again, but she's given me some stuff to do and take in the meantime...Not sure if I want any more kids after the way Coby's been lately!!!!

Anyway, hope you are all ok, and will try and keep up from now on....

Bel, can you access some photo's of your friends bub, and make a collage in a big frame out of them, or maybe a little album???

Hi girls. Not a good day for me. i am sick now. Both DH and I hae sore throats and I also have a headache. Just feel crappy all round. Plus AF arrived. Jeez! I was so hoping that this cycle would be a goer too. My temps have been nice and high, fir the first time ever I got a "high" rating on FF for BD timing, got clear O signs (incl OPK)...I dunno... I'm off to see my fertility specialist on Thursday as it happens...but I was sort of hoping that I would be going there to stock up on drugs for this new pg! not to be..just yet.

Pup slept through the night mainly because - I think - that he missed out on his 2 hr arvo sleep yesterday because of mums group. And then he missed out on this morning's sleep because he was with me getting cows and calves up. So he is a tiored little boy atm. I will get him up at 4pm because we have to go shopping, but also so he will be tired again by nighttime.

Bel, I have never experienced a baby or child death (thankfully). Maybe a donation in the child's name to an appropriate charity and give the parents a card with it?? Or maybe give them a tree/bush/plant that they can have as a living momento with a little plaque?

I'm off for a little sleep myslef...very iffy feeling....

    Howdy all

I know I haven't been in for ages Kate knows why I don't post a lot of stuff any more.

But I just had a suggestion for Bel. I'm so sorry to hear you your friends baby, that's so incredibly sad. What about naming a star after the baby? I'm sure if you google it something will come up if you like that idea

    Will pop in again soon

Bec, good to see you here, even if its only brief. I hope Jonah is well, look forward to seeing you on Friday.

Kate, very cute photo's..... Oh please be careful. I hope the pains dont stick around, and that they were once off's. My back hurts carrying Dion around for too long, and Im not pg, and he's only light. Try be careful I know its hard when all they want is us. I would love to do some stuff around here, but we have decided we wont stay here , and move in about 3 yrs, so I have made up my mind to not waste money.

Brooke, hang in there gorgeous, all will get better ( some day LOL) lucky girl with a chef Dan.... can I have him?????

Hay, its dreadful when we are not well, I have some down with a filthy cold, and not feeling 100% so am a bit grumpy. Bumma about AF.

Rachel, bumma about everyone being sick. I keep telling DH its lucky that I'm a codral ( and keep soldiering on)

Deb, you are lucky if you dont get ms. I didnt for the girls, but Dion made me pay for that big time, as it lasted up til he was born!!!

Dion has improved a little, not eating much, only yogurt ( guess coz its cold and soothing)

Brooke, I just checked out your website, the new photos of Princess Maya are gorgey! She's so cute! I love the one of her hugging her new baby - very cute. Kalbarri looks nice, you look like you all had a good time, although it looks cold!

And a new dog! Sophie, what a cutie, where did you get her from? I just love animals, I go more mushy over a new dog than a baby - tee he he!

Hi Girls, thanks for the lovely welcome back.

Jonah is really, really good. At last weigh and measure he was 80cms and 11.5kgs, that was just before his birthday though so I'm sure he's bigger and heavier than he was then. He's extremely close to walking he's taken a couple of steps on is own so he's really not that far off. He's sleeping wonderfully goes to bed between 8 and 8:30 and wakes between 8:30 and 9, so no complaining here. He had a great party with a whale cake (will update his photos soon) and we're thinking about joining a playgroup. He's still going to swimming and adoring it. I think that's all for the update.

Bel-You're welcome for the idea, it was the first thing to come to my head Thanks for wanting to see more of me, I have been reading here sometimes but I felt too guilty about not posting, which is silly. I will try and get back in though, I have missed it in here.

Vanita-Thanks darl I haven't looked back is Dion ok? Glad to hear he's eating a little, it's horrible when they go off their food, I really worry when Jonah does. Yes see you Friday

Hey Brooke, seems like I was just talking to you - tee he he! Glad Maya slept through, perhaps her ears are still a bit sore, I know Coby's ear infection hung around for months, it was there lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce on him at any moment! Tee he he! Hopefully the Demazin will continue to work and you can get some more great sleeps!

Bec, glad you are back, its good to hear from you and hopefully we can keep up with what's happening with Jonah. Hope whatever your issues are they get solved

Hay, how are you honey? How's pup??

Kate, how are you feeling? I hope things are ok, not long now and you can meet your special litte one, can't wait to hear all about it!

Vanita, how's Dion now? Hopefully the yoghurt will start his appetite off again, any more boobies?? Poor little man...How are you feeling?

Coby is being sooo demanding atm - Im so sick of hearing him whinge. I just wish he would occupy himself even for 5 mins so I can at least go to the toilet on my own. I hope its just a phase but it seems to be going on and on and on. Its ridiculous, as soon as DH gets home he's good, and when he's not here, he's just awful for me. I just don't know what to do. And the tantrums are getting more frequent and worse and harder to deal with. I've tried every trick in the book but nothing seems to work....Oh well I guess its just another one of those things we have to ride out....

Hope you're all having a great weekend!!
