V - I can't believe your wedding day is almost here. It feels just like yesterday that we were all posting anxiously waiting birth days, and your wedding seemed so far away. Haven't the months have just flown past! I hope that Jason is safely back on land by now! And I wish both of you an absolutely wonderful day, can't wait to see the piccies & hear all about it.

Apologies to everyone else, am to tired to do personals as have had the day from hell. Been up since 5am, after an 11pm feed, a 1am feed, and a 3am feed. the 5am was just a nappy change (no juice in the tank anyway, even if he had wanted it), but the lovely person who gets to stay in bed whilst I get up in the night said to me "Calm, calm" when I was a bit cranky at 5am...so not in a particularly happy mood with him (not sure what he thought I was going to do to the child). Then tonight I had pretty much the worst arsenic hour I've had, and even though I fed the child pretty constantly since around 5.30 tonight, at 7ish, pat said "maybe he's hungry..", because hey, I wouldn't know.. anyway, I relinquished the child to the father as I wasn't getting anywhere with the settling, and could hear regular "oh dears" from the MIL, and guess what - bl$$dy little bugger-head turned into smiling, giggling, chatty baby. So I'm really *****ty with them all, can't believe how my own child turned on me. Pat's taken his mum back to stay with BIL, and I would have thought that given the last few hours I've had, he might have been back pretty much straight away, but no, he's still away. Hmmm, probably should get some sleep so that I lose some of the sarcasm...

Do hope that you've all had a good day today, and that we all get a great night's sleep.

    HI all,

V lol at Jason, I'd black ban the boat too.

Jan hugs, I'm sure Pat was just trying to give you some space. Your little man obviously had an off day I hope today is better for you. I'm sure we can all empathise with you. We have had a tough week this week too but i'm slowly adjusting to xaviers new screamer method. He was too tired to feed yesterday and I had to actually leave him scream while I pumped and about 10ml of ebm and he fell asleep in my arms and easily slept for 2 hours, I think he just didn't have the energy left to get it from me, yet I now it was there especially when I pumped 200ml. I know I probably shouldn't have given him the easy way out but I was at my wits end by that stage.

Hi to everyone else, you all seem so very busy at the moment.

V- I am not sure if you will get this in time, but good luck tomorrow, not that you will need it. I am guessing all the hard work that you have done will be paid off with a hassle free day!
    Congratulations and All the Best!

The weather is meant to be FOUL tomorrow. Gee who would have thought that winter would be back in December and on the weekend of mny wedding! Argh tomorrow itws meant to be 'intermittant showers and possible storm'. I hav heard that rain in meant to be good luck!!

So ladies, I will leave you here. Next time I come on I am going to be a MRS!!

    Hello Ladies

Well veronica's wedding day has arrived!!! Very Exciting
Veronica i hope goes just as planned. Cant wait to hear all about it!

Jan- How are you going? Has you little man settled down? Hope your days have improved

Bec- Ethan has adapted a screamer method too! Man for little things they can scream loud! Not that they are so little anymore!!

For some reason im not sure how too put this down so i will just say it, I have had a m/c I didnt even know i was pg, i was 4wks6days. I will qoute the details from my other thread so i dont have to type it again

I didnt even know i was pg...
Until last night...Now its too late..
Af was late but when i started bleeding thats all i thought it was, as they have been irregular since having ds and i didnt think we dtd at the right time...I was mistaken...
Lastnight about 4 hours after i had started light spotting, the bleeding all of a sudden got real heavy and, without going in to too much detail, just didnt look right, then i started getting severe cramping and could barely move so i got ds out of bed and called a taxi to take me to the hospital, When i got there i was asked if i was pregnant and i said no, millions of questions about labour and recovery with ds and then was asked "are you sure your not pregnant" thats when alarm bells started going off inside my head, I explained that we were TTC but i really didnt think that i had conceived, I had to do a test, and thats when i found out that i was pregnant, thats also when i learned i was losing my baby
So if i happen to disappear for a few days this will be why Sorry to burden you all with it.

Any way on a lighter note- BEC- I took your advice and for the last 3 days have had a sleep in the afternoon with ethan and when he stirred i just patted him back to sleep, managed to keep him asleep for 1hr 30mins each time and for the last nights he has had two 5hr stretches, now too get him to eat a bit more and he might sleep through again, and may be able to cancel sleep school, we are booked in for the 24th Jan 08.

Well im going to go have a cuppa and then hopefully go to sleep! I have been unsuccessful so far tonight, too much on my mind.

Hope you all have a nice sunday

    Veronica - Good luck today!!!
TOJ so sorry to hear of your terrible news. There is nothing I can say to take away your pain. Please take care of yourself. *hugs*

Well nothing much happening here. It's the calm before the christmas storm.
We have Lach sleeping in his cot now every night. He also has had a few nights where he has slept for 10+ hours straight. It's amazing.

    Not much else to say.
    Have a great day all.

    Good Afternoon.

    Em & Nicky- Thankyou

Nicky- How great that Lach has settled in to sleeping in his cot. And some great sleeps too.

Oh i hope the weathers not too bad for Veronica, its pouring with rain here freezing and has been dark and stormy all day! Poor girl must be freezing, there's usually not a huge difference in the weather here and perth.

We had a family picnic organised today...Lol lucky we didnt go or it would have been soggy sandwiches!!

Such a busy time -it's hard to find a minute!

V - Hope your day was everything you hoped for plus a bit extra Is it nice to have the same last name as Avaleigh? (assuming she took daddy's name)

Em - lol at Tom's temper. I am yet to see much from Autie but if she's anything like her dad, it will probably show itself sooner or later. She has been rolling for a few weeks - doesn't take them long to become experts. Sometimes she just keeps going til she hits something.

August - She has finally recovered from her bout of the runs, thank goodness - no matter what they say, I would bet my life it was the rotavirus vaccine. My back certainly knows she is getting bigger, that's for sure! As for the sippy cup, she LOVES it - holds it herself and got the action right straight away - the Heinz one is designed as the first step so is still the sucking action. I like the idea of zucchini, I didn't think of that one and we have some too, so I might try it tonight, I'm trying to hold off on the sweet fruity things til she's tasted the not-so-addictive stuff

Jan - Hope you've had a better weekend...

Bec - what's mum's arms for if not falling asleep in them now and then? They only do it for such a short time really...

TOJ - :hugs: don't lose heart - will say a little prayer for you

Nicky - claps for the 10hr sleeps! Did you get up to check anyway? lol

Mel - how's the study going? Hope you're finding it interesting - it always makes it so much easier, I think.

As for us, we had our first family Christmas, just the three of us, yesterday as DH won't be home for real Christmas. Autie did a great job of tearing paper off her presents and when she saw the face of her dolly through a tear she started talking to it straight away in the special voice she saves for the baby in the mirror. So cute. Then kissed it. Even cuter. She has just become a whole lot more interested in other kids so I guess it's the right present at the right time - luckily. Then DH and I had champagne and croissants for breakfast and Autie had mum milk which she was more than happy with. Then into the paddle pool later for christmas day swims in her new bikini. AND we got AC installed in our room the day before so excellent christmas day naps all round

Hope everyone has a relaxing week without too much pre-christmas stress!

Jess, :hugs: big hugs to you, I'm so sorry to hear of your sad news. It must be a lot to take in. I wish I could find the right words to explain how much support & love I'd like to send your way.

Speaking of which, thanks to everyone for being nice to me after my whinge the other night. It's amazing how a better sleep can restore a sense of calm

V - hope you've had a fantastic day, whatever the weather threw at you. Can't wait to hear all about it.

    Hi all,

Welcome Mrs V, lol did it rain, it is supposed to be good luck, but if nothing else a nice cloudy dark day makes for fantastic photos!!

Jessikah, hugs are the best thing I can give you. Please take care of yourself.

Sasha, I don't mind too much when Xavier sleeps in my arms, I figure I won't get those cuddles for much longer. Plus he's such a perfect little angel while sleeping. I just stare at him.

Nicki and Jess, glad to hear that the sleeps are improving for you both.

Well Xavier got a little mucked up yesterday so it took a bit sleeping wise last night but it wasn't too bad in the long run.
He fell asleep eating at around 9pm, then woke at 12.30 (Nathan was watching tv still so got up to him, but i woke because he wouldn't go back to sleep, so I fed him again and off he went then he coughed himself awake at 3am, so I gave him a cuddle offered some boobie and he fell asleep after about 3 sucks. I put him back to bed and next thing I knew nathan was getting ready for work at 7.30, I rolled over went back to sleep and got up at 8.45. Went into xavier and there he was just laying their quitley with his eyes wide open. I got lots of smiles.
We had a little christmas yesterday too at my dads house the grandies got presents because they won't see them till after xmas. Xavier got some bath books, and some balls, and a little pool with plastic balls and a rocking pony, too small to be a horse. Oh but my niece she got the noisiest barbie piano thing, it was sheer torture.

    well only 8 more sleeps!!

Hi everyone...just checking in to see if you're all ok and I was very sorry to read about your loss Jessikah. I hope you take the time to relax, rest up and treat yourself to a bit of family time.

Rebecca Great to hear that Xavier is giving you heaps of smiles now. One of the mothers in my MG said that at 4 months of age, babies smile the most out of the first 18 months of their lives. So ladies, take advantage of all these smiles now and snap away!

Jan Yay for sleep!!! Alessia has forgotten what that is lately! *ugh* Don't apologise for whinging...heck, if we whinged to all our other halves about their mums, they probably wouldn't speak to us, so it's good to have another outlet eh?

Sacha What a gorgeous little early Christmas you had! I can only hope Alessia has 1/2 the interest that Autumn did when opening up her presents!

Nicky Two cheers for you!!! One for your MIL and one for Lachie!!! Woohoo!

Veronica I hope you had a fantastic wedding day!! Can't wait to see some photos of your special day!!! And hope the bad weather stayed away for you to get some nice shots!

Hi to everyone else!! Have been super busy with Christmas visits over the weekend and now am trying to keep the house at a decent level of tidiness for those pesky visitors who just 'drop by' instead of calling first! *ugh*

    Hey Everyone!

I cant believe its all over now and I can rest!! My house looks like a bomb hit it at the moment but atleast there is no running around from place to place. Everything went perfectly yesterday. All hair and makeup was done but midday and then we had lunch and got dressed and got photos taken and then had about 40 mins of sitting back and waiting for the limo to arrive. It rained ALL morning and it was raining when Jason was picked up by the limo but it cleared up when it came to get me and it didnt rain at all after that!! It was a nice overcast day with no wind, so all in all, it was perfect. I got tears in my eyes when I saw Jason. Our ceremony was so perfect and everything went perfect. I was a bit over the photos and saying thankyou tho!! LOL The night ended 1 hour early tho because it was a sunday and a lot of people had to work. I didnt mind cause I was wanted to get my shoes off and get out of my dress!! I dont have any photos yet. Mum is going to get them on a disc for me and its going to take about 2 weeks to get them from the photographer. Everyone thought I looked beautiful and everyone was so happy for us..

Well thats all I am going to say for now. I am going to spend the day relaxing with my husband (LOL) we have the house to ourselves at the moment

Fran, Xavier is too busy looking at the camera with great interest to smile when you get one out. Someone else has to distract him while we take pics.

Veronica, I'm glad you had such a great day, can't wait to see the photos. I hope you, your husband and your new daughter have a fantastic life together and welcome many more additions to your family.

    Hi everyone

Congratulations Veronica! So glad to hear that your day went perfectly.

Jessikah - so sorry to hear about your m/c.

Rebecca - Diana is not interested in smiling for photos either. She would much rather try and eat the camera. LOL.

Fran - Isn't it difficult keeping the house tidy these days?? Hope you don't get too many unwanted visitors when you're not ready for it.

Sacha - Your family Christmas sounds lovely. We are going to my parents' place in New Zealand for Christmas. I hope Diana likes it.

Jan - no worries re the whinge. We all have days like that. Well, I do, anyway. Glad you are feeling better.

Diana had her 6 month needles today (she will be 6 months on Wednesday, but for some reason the dr wanted us to come in today specifically). Diana cried a bit, but got over it very quickly, my brave girl. I am so proud of her. She got weighed and measured too (6.7kg, 67cm), and was generally a good girl for the rest of the day.

On Saturday, my sister, Diana and I went to Glebe markets. I got Diana a cute tie dyed singlet (only to have DH comment when he saw it that it looked like a gay prde top , oh well, never mind, I like it ). We then had lunch at the food hall in Broadway shopping centre, where Diana sat in a high chair for the first time. She was a bit small for it, but I think she liked being up at table level. (And it enabled me to eat lunch in peace for once). Last night we went to dinner at my sister's place, and Diana got to sit at the table (in a normal chair, propped up by pillows). She even ate a little bit of potatoe. My little girl is growing up.

    Hi to everyone else.
