woo hoo - looks lime I'm first again

    Hope everyone is well

I've come to the conclusion that I need to go out every day, cause Tahlia sleeps better when we are out. I went to my sisters mothers group this arvo, and she slept for 1.5 hours not being held, and she has just woken up now from another 1.5 hour nap! I hope she sleeps tonight!

    Morning all!

Hooray, I got my new dishwasher last night! No more handwashing for me! I gave it a test run and it seems to work well. We went out last night to check out a property we bought before the tenant moves in today, it is right on the beach so thought it would be a nice outing. Kieran got overtired and cried in his pram the whole time instead of sleeping so we didn't stay out long! Very unusual for him.

Becky - I'm glad Liam is going so well in his bed, what a good boy! My sister transitioned her 2yo this week without any problems too.

Misskate - If Kieran slept from 11pm to 10am I would freak out! I'd be going in to check if he is breathing lol! You are soooo lucky!

Saffi - Hooray for your supply coming back! I hope it continues to go really well for you. Hope your night at the movies was fun!

Mo - I'm happy with the B.Gardens again, but I'm not sure if everyone else wants a change of scenery? I'm easy, I just love to catch up with you all!

Celtic - Oh you poor thing . I'm so sorry you had to go through that, I hope you are doing alright

Amber - LOL! It's funny how having children changes our outlook on DTD! No it's not wierd!!

Kellie - That's great Tahlia sleeps so well when you go out, it's great not feeling like you have to stay home all the time!

Kim - Are you around? I hope all is going well with you and the gorgeous girls! Do you have a preference for a meet-up place?

I'm taking Kieran to the MCHN this morning, I can't wait to find out how much my porker weighs!

    Hi everyone

Trish yay a dishwasher....I used to never want one, now I can't live without it....so lazy! Max also used to be good at sleeping in his pram, and now he doesn't want a bar of it. Probably coz he's more interested in his surroundings.

Celtic that is awful what you had to go through, hope you are OK now.

DTD....having Max was a fluke as it was!!! Nothing much has changed in that department! Stupid Anti-depressants (not me....DH!)

Went and saw MHCN yesterday....Max weighs exactly 6.8kg. So happy! We had our last mothers group at the clinic and Max talked the WHOLE time...it was so cute!

Better go...need to go shave my legs (pr1ckle city) and have some breakfast and feed the dog! We are warming up here in Perth!

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning girls!

Amber - I'm a bit the same, but better this time than last time. Kinda creeps me out if I hear DS in the next room though!

Trish - we have a dishwasher, have had it since we moved into this house but I hardly ever use it!

Julia - 6.8kg, well done! Good to hear other little boys are weighing the same as DS, I get a bit paranoid that he's going to be a monster! DH's family are all very big (not fat so much, just BIG boys).

We had a rough night last night. DS woke every 2-2.5 hours from 12pm. Not sure what that was about, I tried to resettle him at 3am but he wouldn't settle so fed him again and he went straight back to sleep, so can only assume he was waking because he was hungry. Maybe another growth spurt?? Not sure the little man can keep growing at this rate!

Have a question - how long are your bubs awake between sleeps during the day? I know by about 12 weeks they should be starting to stay awake a little longer, about 1.5 hours but DS still only makes it to an hour before he's grizzling to go back to bed. Would love him to stay awake a bit longer during the day - would make the day easier if I wasn't constantly putting him down for a sleep. He is still having 4 sleeps a day, would love him to be a awake a bit longer and only have 3 sleeps. He'll get there in his own time I guess.

Julia - WTG on Max's good size!

Willow - How can you NOT use your dishwasher?! LOL! I've only had to handwash dishes for 2 weeks (our old dishwasher died) and I am already over it! Kieran woke at 3am for a feed this morning too, he never does, maybe it was because of the full moon?! K can only handle up to an hour of wake time still, sometimes less. There is no point trying to stretch him out or he gets overtired and won't sleep. I feel like all I do all day is feed him or put him to bed. Your DS sounds normal to me!

Trish - must admit, DH does the dishes most of the time! LOL! I only wash up the breakfast and lunch stuff, which isn't much with only DD and I here.

I feel like all I do all day is feed him or put him to bed.
Me too! I can't wait till he's able to stay up longer, just makes the day easier.

Just spoke to my MIL, SIL had her baby girl last night, called her Maddison Anne. Only tiny 7lb (SIL smoked all through her pregnancy, don't get me started on that!). Will try and go up to see them tonight if the little man co-operates.

    Morning all

Had a good time last night at the movies. Movie itself was alright (will never win a best movie title - but good for some light entertainment). Stayed out afterwards for coffee and a chat and got home after 10.30! DH was just preparing a bottle for L. He had been asleep the whole time I was away. DH gets all the easy shifts.

Willow - L works on a 90 minute cycle too. I just follow his cues and without fail around the 90 min mark he gets grumpy. I make sure I get him to bed quickly so he doesn't get overtired. He is able to stay awake longer which is nice occasionally. He is down anywhere from an hour to 2.5 hours.

Celtic - I'm so sorry to hear your news. How awful that they aren't going to tell you straight away what happened. Take care of yourself, ok.

Love my dishwasher. Since doing all this expressing and bottle stuff I have had to do more handwashing and it is aggravating my dermatitis.

No plans to do anything or go anywhere today. Need to do some housework, so best get to it.

Hi again, gee I'm chatty today! We went to the MCHN for Kieran's 12 week check up and he now weighs 6.2kg and is 62cm long. What a boof! He weighs half a kilo more than Joel did at the same age AND he was weighed on an empty stomach! He's still in the 75th percentile for everything.

Willow - Congrats on your brand new niece!

Saffi - Glad you had a good time out last night, it's so nice to go out without babies in tow!

Wow morning all! I have had trouble actually accessing the bellybelly site both from home computer (went over d/l limit and now REALLY slow) and from the work computer. So I have had alot of reading to do and cant really remember a lot that I wanted to respond to so I will just write.
Celtic - I am so sorry to hear about your being unwell. I hope things look up for you soon.
Caitlyn had a SHOCKING weekend. Friday night was ok but Saturday night we thought we would try Wayne getting up for the 230 feed and me do the 530 wake up call so he can sleep in! BAD IDEA!! DH can't settle her back to sleep very well at the late feed. She smiles at him and he can't help but smile back and give her a little kiss and/or cuddle! Silly man! I have told him a million times that she then thinks its play time and will stay awake. So of course it took him an hour to feed and back to sleep. So when he came back to bed at 345 he was dead tired and fell asleep straight away. Of course - she woke up again at 4 and I couldnt get her to settle. DH didnt hear a thing. Wasnt until 930 when I was busting for either a coffee or a pee that I went into the bedroom and plonked her down on the bed and said - your turn!!
Then of course all day Sunday she was over tired and wouldnt sleep more than 15 mins at a time. The sunday night she was up every 3 hours. Monday night, after daycare, was a blessing. Down at 615 up at 3 am!! YAY much needed sleep for mum.
And on Sunday she started taking 240 ml bottles! All of it!!
Finally got her in to see someone about her poos on monday. Doc says there is absolutely nothing to worry about. they can range from yellow to gree to brown. As long as they arent red or, at he age, black then there arent any worries. I wasn't particularly concerned cause I had read this but the ladies at daycare suggested I get it checked out.
I also got her weighed - what a fatty!!! She weighs 6.28kg!! She is also 60.5 cm long - thats 2 foot!! Holy cow - think she is going to be a tall girl - nothing like her mum! More like her dad!
DTD Who on earth has the energy to?!?! Besides my DH. I told him the other week that if he has the energy to want to go a round then he has the energy to get up and do a feed during the night! Plus I am still a little down about the look/feel of my body and am REALLY self conscious about it. But DH likes my b00bs which have stayed practically the same size as during the last few weeks of pregnancy. He LOVES them!
Anyway - pretty long post cause I have been away for so long.....sorry if I missed someone. I see we have a few new members...I am sorry I can't remember the names...but welcome all the same! I am sure I will get to know you.
    Have a great day everyone!

Willow - Max works on a 60 min. I know how you feel though, I'm not sure if he's sleeping too much, or when it will change so they stay awake longer. Max has 4 naps a day, then is down all night.

Sometimes he has a long stretch of awake time....that is where I have to be careful that he doesn't get grumpy. He usually lets me know when he's tired coz his 'talking' changes it's tone!

Last night was the first in about a week that Max has put himself to sleep at night. I just hung myself over the cot and he tossed and turned then he was out. YAY, hopefully it will happen again tonight. No more 2.5 hour screaming matches please!!!

By the way....does everyone have their P's back??? I'm sure I got a very faint one, but haven't had one since!!! hmmmmmm!!

Maddi usually last an hour to 1.5, But sometimes she can go 2-3.5 hours, then she'll sleep for 4-5 hours to make up for it.

Caitlyn can go from 1 hour to 1.5 and at one stage 2 hours. If she is really fighting it....she will do a long stint of 4 hours and then she is overtired and it takes FOREVER to get her to sleep.

celtic - so sorry you're having a carp time of it. i hate it when the medical esstablishment treats you like the village idiot. i hope you're coping ok.

amelia - so, how did you rate your first 5 years sans sibling?

sleep... so the boy does 45 minute naps during the day as a rule, and usually one long sleep of about 2 or 3 hours. his waking time is anything from 1 hour to 2 hours. i watch him for 'sleep signs' and just put him to bed when he cracks it.

gone are those heady days of two 3-hour sleeps during the day. *sigh*

he's fixed his night sleep up now though, so hitting the 3-month mark must've sorted his game out.

his new name is chucka-sui... since he's the quintessential happy chucker. so disturbing it's almost hilarious.

about AF, looks like it's come back but as a faint brown spotting kind of deal for the last two days. definitely not worth writing home about. bah humbug. i was enjoying my freedom after wearing liners practically every day of the pregnancy!

did y'all see heath ledger died today. so sad. too young... reminds me of michael hutchence.

Viv - Well I use to go to my godmother's while mum worked and the lady across the road did home schooling of her kids so I use to play with them when they were finished. Being already so old when my sis came along I could help mum out and by the time she was old enough to play with I was over the age of playing with toys and all that stuff and thought it was 'uncool' to play with my little sister.
