Hi girls! I haven't been around much lately - my computer died and had to go off and get fixed. $250 later , and I am back! I am going to be a bit snobby and not do personals, because I have a HUGE headache. I took Tom to the cricket today to watch DH play (*sob* that's right cricket has started again. I am a cricket widow once more). Not sure if the headache is from the sun or sheer boredom of watching cricket. Tom had fun though and one of the guys gave him a red snake - grr - which he loved. He has never had a lolly before..
I just jumped on to see if anyone else is having problems with the following - biting and also kicking on the change table? I think the biting may be his version of a rather passionate kiss because he only bites me and his favourite Aunty Deb, but I don't really know how to stop it. The only advice I have been given is from my ever-unhelpful MIL who suggested I "just bite him back" or "smack him". Hmmm.. yes I find the best way to stop a child from doing something hurtful is to hurt them. Makes perfect sense...
Well girls, this is only short but there is 2 Panadol and a bowl of chocolate icecream with my name on them. Hope everyone is well and smiling.
By the way, Sarah - I can't believe Bayleigh is in a BIG BED!! I have no idea when we will put Tom in one. I can't imagine he would even stay in one! Well done Bayleigh . We are also giving Tom pretty much the same as what we have each night too. Sooooo much easier.
** Feel guilty now - should do some personals **
Sacha - I am so sorry to hear about your mum. I hope everything goes well and we will all be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts. Well done to Autie for swimming class. Future Stephanie Rice prehaps??
Megan - also sending you positive thoughts regarding living with your parents again! Not sure I could do it - although there would be no room for us, she is getting her 4th foster baby tomorrow (6months old). At least your DH is not home much for a good reason - you just need to keep thinking that!
Jan - wedding dress details please?? Good luck with job/Liam possibly starting daycare. I am sure he will love it if he does go. All those kids and new toys to play with. My sister looks after T once a week on her day off (she works in childcare) and she had to quickly go into work the other day to drop some stuff off,and had to take some stuff outside to the bins so she quickly put him into the babies room. Well, when she went back to get him, he chucked a huge fit because he didn't want to leave and had already made friends with a little boy named Hamish, so I am reassured that he will love it when the day finally comes that he has to go.
I really, really should go. Head killing me. Sorry to anyone I have missed xx
