Oh, no, Rory - did you bag Angelina? NOOOOOOOOOO! I LOVE Angelina...I'm afraid this might have to be the end between you and I...
Oscar got hot again this morning and threw up a feed, but we've cooled him down and he's trying to be normal again. The house smells like damp baby-chucky-uppy-wipey cloths! Oooh, and mix in the smell from the baby paracetamol that has come up occasionally, too... Between the fan, cool damp cloth and vaporiser bottle, we're doing ok. Yep, Rory, it is upsetting, and DP just can't grasp how much it affects me - he says I need to stop being anxious because he's picking up on it...ummm, reality check, a mummy will always be wired to worrying when our babies are off kilter!! Geez, he could cut me some slack!
Also, DP was wearing him in the Ergo this morning - really calmed him down (ha! you could read that to mean it calmed DP OR Oscar...but I think it was both). Not sure what caused the blow up between us last night, but we had one, too. He goes all quiet after raising his voice, so I get to throw in one liners from the other side of the house and let him mull on them (they are real questions, asked from a heartspace, not headspace, and I never get spiteful or petty with them - his quietness is a unique opportunity to get these questions into his head so I'm careful how I use my POWAH, hearty evil laughter). One consternation last night was me asking why he can't get up and wear Oscar for a while to calm him down to give me a break. So, it was heartening to see him doing it this morning when I came out of the shower. It's unusual for things to escalate like that, so it was upsetting on top of everything!
I made my slice and it's crumblier than the last one, but I think it's a winner all the same. AND it's now in my new/2nd hand Tupperware Slice N Store
