Good afternoon girls Just got back from Melbourne Central where we did the Clock/Borders/nori handroll/coffee with DH routine... Verity stayed in with DH and is spending the afternoon in at his work with him. Niall has drifted off to sleep in his cot and Wade is watching ABC kids. Picked up a Thai Curry from The Dish (cafe near the train station) for dinner and just about to make a hot chocolate because Wade and I got caught in the rain on the way home... Niall snug as a bug in the pram with the rain cover on. Just a few personals... house is trashed and need to deal with it before Niall wakes as a priority!
Nic: yep, what the others said! Just your turn to whinge matey... we all have a go... that's the deal I would have been totally lost with all the June bubbas birthdays too... you did a great job there! Oh and that reminds me; Jaspen sent me a PM saying that she's having a really hard time getting on here to chat and wants to say "hi" to everyone, she misses you all, and hopes to get on here soon!
Mel: I'm glad you posted in the cradle cap thread about the MooGoo.... i was gonna PM you about it asking for you to recommend it because it really is the best. I ordered another batch of stuff from them yesterday too as the soaps etc are available ATM, but who knows for how long!? Ordered 4 bars of soap, some shampoo and a conditioner which i haven't tried before. Love getting packages... i wish i could afford to do it more often hey! Good to hear Marley's allergies are not flaring up. I had heaps as a kid, mainly fur, clover and dust... grew out of them completely by the time I was in my teens. Actually, I lie, I do get a bit of hayfever with dust still, but no where near as bad as I was as a kid... infact now that I think about it the sympotoms are really easing ATM... i think pregnancy made it worse.
Julie: Oh I know about the grief banks can give... and my DH works for one! yes, some staff honestly do act like they function on one brain cell.... especially call centre staff... we try to avoid them at all costs! DH has to deal with them occassionally and gets very p*ssed off with their inability to think outside the box and more frequently it's getting hard to understand them! Not meaning to be rascist but surely if your job is to be on the phone to English speakers all day it's best not to have a strong accent? I'm sure they are hard workers and all but maybe a job entering data etc would be more appropriate? The only way we got half the things done properly for our loans etc was because DH got colleagues to do it! Lord knows how the average punter navigates the minefield of banking procedures. DH is a private banker though and prides himself in 'sheilding' his high-net-worth customers from dealing with all that... pity the bank can't offer everyone that degree of service.... but I guess it's in every industry... user pays and all... I guess it's like having your own private OB as opposed to going public and taking your chances... I'm just grateful my DH is a banker because I'd be totally stuffed having to deal with all that by myself! I think I lead a very sheltered life in that respect LOL
Ali: Dubai: could be a goer... jobs haven't been advertised yet... also heard a similar announcement of new jobs is going to be on offer in Hong Kong. I think about being an expat family every day. It's definately got more "pros" than "cons" on my mental list. And i wouldn't have to be separated much from you guys, not at all here on BB... only for a couple of years IRL regards meetups. It's the tax benefits that are the real drawcard. Imagine not having to pay any income tax! And then there is the career benefits of DH being able to return to Melbourne as a senior manager as opposed to a middle manager... but that's by-the-by it's would just be so damn exciting! I tell ya, being a SAHM in some exotic country would certainly make life a little more interesting!
Peckish... we don't have Nutella... but I have been known to scoop peanut butter on a spoon, super crunchy of course...
