so is it 3 more weeks left of work total? Not long now, even tho it most probably is dragging for you.
Unfortunately no - I only work in the office 3 days a week so I actually still have FIVE weeks to go, but counting the in-office days makes it sounds better LOL!!

Sorry Junies! I've been out of my head and living the last week at a very fast pace...what have I got myself into with this Tupperware? I needed another activity like a hole in the head!
My parents are down for the school holidays and my sister is over with my niece. Things became fractious between my mum and I today...same old story but with a new flavour.
Oscar has been brilliant and the light of my life DP and I had a 'thing' over the weekend, but it was resolved for the better - we're in a much better place between us now, so it was good to have it out. It was related to something you girls have said before in relation to dynamics here at home. He pretty much said that I'm no doormat, yet when it comes to him I won't arc up and tell him how it is. I told him that I had discussed it with the counsellor and that I think I have an irrational and unfounded fear that if I do arc up, he'll decide he doesn't want me anymore. I KNOW this is irrational, yet I back off every time, so as not to say something hurtful that I can't take back. However, we've moved on from that and it's all good!
Last Friday I went over to use my neighbour's study, as they are overseas and she's given me the house keys for that very purpose. I LOVE her study set up - I was there for hours, and I haven't had a chance to go back and make the most of the opportunity (I have a big assignment due next week, another the following week and exams at the end of the month).
Now I'm torn between spending time with my sister and niece, spending time on Tupperware (which I NEED to do to earn my SuperStart kit!), catching up on reading, writing my assignment and spending some quality time with my favourite boy (ok, so he's one of two!). Hole in the head.
Oscar is still feeding ravenously and I am increasingly getting the double takes and the "How old is he again?". I mentioned it last week and it just keeps happening since. Oh, well. It's between me and the boy :P
Better get back to it - got my dinner dishes to wash (I was at a CFA related meeting that was awesome - Jane Ashton, sister of the lady, Julie, killed by her millionaire husband who claimed provocation, spoke on family violence and it was really, really good. If anyone has a group that they would like her to speak to, I have her card if you want her contact details. She has some great things to say about what you can do if you find out someone is in an abusive relationship, mentally or physically), local paper to read and teeth to brush, not to mention a full boob...
Sorry, no personals - I've been lurking and missing you all, though!

maya - i feel knackered just reading about everything that you are into - you must have boundless energy. Glad you and dp resolved some issues.

Rory - not many work days left for you - how nice. has Flynn got into his new shoes yet?

Amanda - Wyatt's TT sounds like it's going great guns - yay! I might be sending you another little boy who's not far off 3 to have a go with soon! Hope your snot monsters are less snotty!

Jess - hope you've got your van sorted.

Mel - cheers for the house and cute couple comments! I have a daft expression on my face on that picky and Will is just about to lose it but i love it as it was taken at the pub 5 miles from my parents and i used to work there when i was 17/18 and have had some great times there. OOOO excitement must be building for the new bedroom being delivered tomorrow - can't wait to see the photos of your new room.

Bath - hope you're having a lovely time with FIL

Ali - half a day left of work for you before half term - big relax wishes for you for a few weeks!

Well today i've had a CBF day (Thanks Bath for that saying). Still in PJs till lunch and did nothing bar watch tv/bb/play/cuddle/wipe snot from boys. Boys were soooo clingy i couldn't really leave their side and i seriously have not seen this much snot ever - no exaggeration - i must have wiped their noses 100 times between them - they must be dehydrated with that much liquid coming out. i went to the shops looking like a down and out at 4 as we had nothing for tea - at least the kids looked slightly better. bough a hot chuck and cheaty microwave steam veg and some oven chips (so lazy i know) then half way through eating poor Osc had a coughing fit and threw it all up all over himself. he got really upset and was trying to rip his clothes off as he really hated being covered in it but i managed to get them off quite quick and dressed in clean stuff and put him on the sofa to watch tv while Will and i finished - can't say i fancied it much - yuk! Always happens when dh is away! have Oscar in my bed tonight as have had the vapourizer on in our room for Will's cold and i'm sure it will help his cough plus i won't worry so much about him if he's next to me - just hope he doesn't wake in the night again and start talking and wake us all up!

Anyway, better go and attempt an earlish night as i don't know what it has in store for me!

Julie, he is into his shows, now we applaud him every time he wears them LOL!

I am so worried about DH - his knee is really sore this morning and he has his beep test at 1.45pm. If he defers or "fails" today because of the pain he has to wait until early next year to re-do this stage of the testing. He is off on a gentle walk around the block ATM but it is such a bummer for him and both of us really. Timing would go so well if he got through this round, because we think his 14 week full time training would be held while I was on mat leave, so childcare would be less of a hassle.

Oh please oh please oh please get better knee!!!!

ETA: I needn't have worried - DH passed the beep test!!

Yeah for Dh passing the Beep test roryrory .

Well the weather up here has gotten better again so we went to the water park which was really nice as kai was to scared of the water so we didnt have to worrie about her going to close, Well that was until the last half hour went with her big brothers help she got over her fear and hoped into the water with him and loved it ( she really would follow him anywhere) so I had to stand in the cold water for the last half hour in which time kai was rather blue.

We went to the beach today but like always it was windy so it never that nice when you get sand in your eyes.

kai is also got the green nose atm and has been waking up every night and as she and dd are in the same room I worrie that she will wake her but so far dd has slepted through.

Maya you always seem so busy I get tied just reading about it. I also feel so lazy like I shoud get out there and do something with myself but went you have been a mum for the last 7yrs I dont know what I want to do or what I want to be and sometimes think maybe Im just too old to try anything now and just get a mum job once kai is at school.

anyway better get the kids fed ( 2min noodles tonight now thats lazy!!!! )

Good evening girls Just quickly because I don't want to be anti-social with FIL sitting here. Rory: Yay for DH!!! Oh that must be such a relief! How did his knee perform? Did he take pain killers? How is his knee now? Tali: Good to hear Kai dealt with her fear of water... my DD had a similar issue after a few near drowns I REALLY need to familiarise Niall this summer, must be a priority! Maya: We've missed you too! Like Tali said: I'm exhausted just reading about your life ATM. No wonder there have been some small cracks between you and your DP... the stress must be significant. Same always happens to DH and I when things get hectic.... but it's good to know it has passed DH and I locked horns too recently but he just came up to me and made a joke wearing a Viking helmet so all must be good in his world. He told me today that he used to do a breakfast radio program called "The Llama Farmers Burn The Toast"... he told me over dinner... i almost lost my mouthful trying to contain a laugh.

It's been good having FIL stay... he has a good sense of (Irish) humour too. Oh and I took Wade to the show this morning... bugger we missed the Rabbit Agility Competition but we had a great go on the "World's Biggest Slide".

Got boys to deal with... but I'm working on RayRay's avatar so i'll get back in here tonight I hope...

Maya - I have missed you! I was wondering where you got to, now I understand why, you are one busy beaver! How nice of your neighbour to lend you her study, hope you find some time to get a bit done. How is your niece, she must be growing up fast? Glad you and DP are all good now, its good to clear the air and get everything out.

Julie - how are your snot monsters today? A day in your Pj's is fun and you are allowed to have a "lazy" day (well not really lazy!).

Rory - how fantastic, well done DH!!! How is his knee after the test?

Tali - I hate the beach on a windy day. The water park sounds like a much better idea. Glad to hear Kai likes the water, esp being in a hot climate. Nice way to cool down. Kids always seem to stay in the water till they are blue or teeth chattering. Love 2 min noodles!

Bath - How was the show? We were going to go this year with Chelsea but DH is working night shift all this week, so definately next year. Did Wade enjoy it? DH in a viking helmet, how funny!!!

Well my bedroom suite and mattress arrived at 9.15am and I couldn't wait to get it together. Chelsea was wonderful keeping Marley amused while I ripped open all the boxes. I took the old mattress out on the deck and the girls just used it like a trampoline! They loved it and spent ages out there. I got the boxes open and it took me so long to put the bed together as it really was a 2 person job. I finally got it together. I had to then iron the new quilt cover and pillow cases and get it all ready. It looks fantastic, I just love it!!! I have uploaded pics on my homepage in the album "New Bedroom". I am totally stuffed now, I don't think I stopped all day. I had to vac up all the mess it made breaking the boxes, put away all the clothes in the new drawers. Finish washing, vac the floors, mop, make dinner! Glad the day is nearly over.

I can't wait to go to bed tonight on my new mattress and I get to sleep in it all by myself since DH is on nightshift - YIPEEE

Thanks everyone on the congrats for DH - his knee held out remarkably well. He iced it before and took neurofen JIC. Now he just has the psych test next Wednesday and the firefighter aptitude test on the 6th of October (can you climb a ladder without a fear of heights, can you wear a blacked out facemask and breathing appaatus without getting claustriphobic, etc) and THEN pass the final interview. So he is really progressing through well, but there are still a few hurdles to go.

Maya, I am with Bath - you sure sound damn busy!! How do you find time to study as well??

Tali, 2 min noodles are my fave when DH isn't home for dinner - with tomato sauce and grated cheese - mmmmmm!

Mel, off to check your pics now

Good on your DH to pass the Beep test.
My Dh went for an interview last Saturday morning down at the local servo and got the job. He is on trial for 3 months but they have ordered his uniform and everything. He has down one day of training and the manager said to the owner that because he was so quick on picking everything up, he can basically do everything now because he knows what he is doing!
I'm on my way to Albury today shopping with mum, my darling brother's g/f moved into her own place in Albury last week and decided to take my kitchen chairs (that she said I could have because "I'll get new one's when I get my own place") and my TV(which they also said that I could have!), we are going to pick up my brand new 68cm TV from Kmart and Mum's also going to shout me lunch! Tomorrow I'm going to Euroa to prob pick up Tim and Liz and also mow my aunts lawns. Dh still can't see why I do so much for them, which is weird because he turns a blind eye to what his mum does. His mum has now taken DH's sister's 2nd little girl and started looking after her, which means SIL now only has to look after 1 child while my 60 odd yr old MIL looks after 2 children. It's a strange story, so I won't bore you with all the details, but the short story is: When SIL had her 1st child she couldn't look after her, because she had gone off her meds(bipolar) and all she wanted to do was go and party, so MIL took the little girl in and said that when she got her life straightened out she could take her back. She never took her 1st child back, 4 yrs later when she was in a decent realtionship and had straightened herself out to a point, she had another little baby, this one she lavished attention on, made sure she had a home and looked after her really well, her first daughter came to visit but never stayed because she didn't want her to. That relationship broke up and she went off her meds again, but she pulled herself together, found another guy and he moved in. Last year she had another baby, again she lavished attention on the baby, but she had lost her licence she both she and her partner depended on public transport, so she started ringing MIL to pick up the baby so they could go shopping. SIL got her licence back 2 months ago, she now drives to MIL's house to drop of her 2 children so she can do some "gardening", now her 2nd child doesn't want to leave MIL's house. As I said it's involved.
Pat has learnt how to bite if he doesn't get his own way! A quick tap of the hand and it stops him , but he whimpers for a couple of secs and then does it again. He has also become very cheeky and runs away if someone trys to pick him up. He has also started talking and says ' there' if you ask him where someone is, even though they aren't there! LOL\
Better go and get these kids ready to go out.

Hi all, School holidays have finally started for me (HOORAY), I am really looking forward to spending some time with Tori and some time at home (mostly catching up on things that need to be done), but just vegging out as well, like I am today.
Tori I hope is on the mend, she is still coughing, but other than that she is returning to her usual happy self.

Jess- Great news about DH's job. Looks like the move has brought good things into your lives, first a house and now a job for DH.

Rory- Great news for your DH too, now you have probably written about it before but what is a Beep test? Every time I read beep I want to insert a swear word LOL.
How long now until you finish work?

Bath- I hope that you are enjoying FIL's visit. It must be nice for the kids to spend some quality time with him, and for you to have some adult company during the day.

Maya- You do have an intensly busy world dont you. I hope that you are enjoying your Tupperware demonstrating.

Mel- Great job on your room. You are like me, as soon as something new comes into the house I am ripping the box apart trying to put it all together. I should have got you over to paint our nursery, so far it has taken us 6 weeks to do 2 undercoats and a topcoat.

Amanda- I have started calling Tori a snot monster since reading your post. I hope that all yor boys are on the mend.

Tali- I cant wait for the weather here to fine up and warm up so we can get out and about. I havent even been taking Tori to the indoor pool because the change rooms are so freezing that she is usually blue by the time I get her out of the shower and dressed.

Feeling worn out, but I am sure that after my holidays I will feel much more refreshed, enough to get me through my last 4 weeks (which is only 10 school days) of work.
Pete and I had our 2 year wedding aniversary this week, we didnt do anything special, just shared a chinese takeaway and a box of chocolates. You know it is coming up to the time when we would have started to get our BFP's with our Junie Babies, can you believe that was 2 whole years ago.

Jess it sounds like you MIL is a saint for putting up with your SIL's antics!
Ali, the beep test is a shuttle run - you listen to a CD that "beeps" as you run between set points, and as you progress the beeps get closer together so you have to run faster. A "beep" (swear word) test would be much more fun LOL! enjoy your hoildays!!

Hiya Ali Oh where is your avatar? LOL I log on every morning to check with hope... I've just sent in rayray's too... I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up at the same time. I hope you have a lovely break. I don't mind school hols except verity keeps telling me she would rather be at school like a broken record but she's at the show with DH ATM so she should be happy about that! She is keen on buying the Dolly showbag... not much i can do even though it wouldn't be my preference. Oh and Mel: the show was great. Wade and I got there very early just after 9am and it was all nice and fresh and clean. The only ride we went on was the super duper slide... he was dead keen on the ROLLERCOASTER! though and after he saw it wouldn't stop asking to go on it. I told him I was too scared but he tried to assured me that he would hold my hand LOL FIL gave him $ for a Thomas Tank Engine showbag so that was nice.

2 years since our BFPs!!!! OOooh how far we have come hey....

ETA: I agree Jess, you do well staying out of it! it's so easy to get drawn into family issues like that!

Rory...MIL sounds like a saint, but she won't fight about the issue with SIL, because the little girls in question might get upset!

Well I picked up my new TV...Its a 68cm Sansui Colour Television...its the first brand new TV I've ever had and I'm so excited about putting it in, DH has just gone around to Mum and Dad's to get a jigsaw to cut the hole a bit bigger, and when he comes home we are setting it up!
    Here he comes bbl!

Julie - awesome nights sleep! Marley is growing up, she doesn't look so little anymore. How are the boys, still snotty?

Rory - DH is doing so well, not long to go and I'm sure he'll pass everything else with flying colours. How's his thesis going, has he finished yet?

Ali - enjoy the school holidays and vegging out! Glad to hear Tori is on the mend. Congrats on your 2nd wedding anniversary. Pity I can't hop on a plane and paint your nursery lol! I don't mind painting as I love seeing it finished, its very rewarding. Can't wait to see pics of the finished nursery.

Bath - good idea getting to the show early. They have been saying on the radio that attendances are well down on last year and they may offer discounted tickets this weekend to entice a few more people. A girl at work went on the weekend with her DH and 3 kids and she said it cost nearly $300, and that was only 2 show bags per child. For all of them to go on a ride, it was $35! Getting in the gate $75. Crazy! Wade is so gorgeous, wanting to hold your hand. Maybe he can convince you next time.

Jess - hows the new tellie?

I had the most amazing sleep last night on my new mattress! It was so comfy. Can't wait to get back in it tonight. When I got home, Chelsea told me she had a good day at kinder and that she is getting married!!!! She has a boyfriend she told me and they are getting married. It was so funny. Better start saving lol!!! Marley has started shaking her head everytime I ask her something, usually laughing at the same time. She is such a dag!

Worked today and had a long lunch at the local pub for a farewell. Love the cheap counter meals, good old chicken parmagiana. Got a GF coming for lunch tomorrow with her 3 kids (#4 is due in 3 weeks) so should be a busy day. I have just made Mars Bar slice for after lunch and it has taken all my willpower not to steal a few pieces! It is pouring her at the moment and so windy. I don't think the kids will be playing outside tomorrow.

    Night all!

Ali - Congrats on your anniversary You are part of the growing trend for marriages that are actually lasting! For a while there the stats were not good, but they reckon that in the last few years, the separation and divorce rate is slowing down again. Guess DP and I have to get married to test that one
Jess - that was complicated! Good one on the TV!
Mel - checked out your pics - very nice! I love our bed still - we have a futon base (normal height) with a latex and wool mattress...it's the bees knees. DP didn't have great linen when we met, so within the first few weeks of us being together, I took him linen shopping, but he directed that we were to only get nice stuff, so we did! BUT, we need more...just cos I said so, and I love nice linen... How cute that you'll be a MIL soon
Bath - the show! I reckon Oscar MIGHT get something out of it next year, so I'll prime him with local agi shows in the meantime.
Julie - you pics are lovely - it's giving me a hankering!
    Tali - that's a gorgeous ticker photo!
Rory - the psych test is the hard bit and you can't really study for it. Suffice to say that they are looking for people who won't put 'I' in 'team'! Beep test over, that's a relief. We do beep tests for our running team training (we don't have to, but we just do) and DP romps it in, pity he isn't interested in career firefighting anymore! Good luck to DH!
Tonight I had a very good party at my SIL's - far, far better than Tuesday's effort. I feel more confident as of tonight, that I can pull off this Tupperware caper!
Things are a little weird with my mum this week after an incident on Monday that didn't even involve me, but she's lashing out at me anyway. Nothing major, just weird. I spoke about it with my counsellor today and we decided that I am pretty much free of my mum's binding guilt trip, my mum knows it and hates it. She'll one day realise that I CHOOSE to maintain a relationship with her, and that I don't do it out of some hold she has over me.
My niece is just cuter than ever. But, really! I'm not just saying that. She is definitely way cuter at 10 months now than my sister ever was as an infant! She is just edible. I have even had the opportunity for cuddles and games because my mum takes Oscar off and I get that time.
Right, I'm off to order some night boosters for our pocket nappies (I'm way over these compostables and I loathe the idea of going back to disposables) before I forget, and then I'm off to bed with my boys, who are very fast asleep. Tomorrow I'm going to try to study, even though I have no babysitter (my mum wants to declutter the house and MIL is off to a family reunion in the country)...so for those of you who asked how I find the time to study...I don't!

Oh how I used to love the melbourne show it was the one thing we got to do as a family, when I was a kid. which when you are one 7 it was amazing we even got there. Its a shame its gotten so expencive now but when show bags are now $ 20 or more its hard not to spend so much, But I found that this year at the cairns show DS was having a really hard time finding a show bag that he wanted to get as they were eaither too young for him or they were too old he wasnt happy as he didnt want to miss out but couldnt find one he was happy with.

mel I have just tied to check out your photos but couldnt find them I am really hopeless at this computer stuff.

Jess- how hard for your mil hope she is coping ok I know my mum loves the grandkids but dont think she could look after them full time.

maya- before you know it the tupperware will become second nature. I have always wanted tupperware as everyone seems to love it but the price always scares me off. but I will get it one day as the cheap stuff always breaks.

bath- my DS also wanted to go on the rollercoast at the cairns show but as I like ride we went on together it was like the mad mouse but worse as the carage that your on also spins. DS loved it. we got a very funny photo of us both on the coaster just as it went down a hill DS looks like he is s**ting himself but said he love it.

Well after a week of school holidays I really need to clean my house so I hope to do that tommorrow but as I really hate cleaning it will more than likely just be a tide up.
