Sorry Junies! I've been out of my head and living the last week at a very fast pace...what have I got myself into with this Tupperware? I needed another activity like a hole in the head!
My parents are down for the school holidays and my sister is over with my niece. Things became fractious between my mum and I today...same old story but with a new flavour.
Oscar has been brilliant and the light of my life DP and I had a 'thing' over the weekend, but it was resolved for the better - we're in a much better place between us now, so it was good to have it out. It was related to something you girls have said before in relation to dynamics here at home. He pretty much said that I'm no doormat, yet when it comes to him I won't arc up and tell him how it is. I told him that I had discussed it with the counsellor and that I think I have an irrational and unfounded fear that if I do arc up, he'll decide he doesn't want me anymore. I KNOW this is irrational, yet I back off every time, so as not to say something hurtful that I can't take back. However, we've moved on from that and it's all good!
Last Friday I went over to use my neighbour's study, as they are overseas and she's given me the house keys for that very purpose. I LOVE her study set up - I was there for hours, and I haven't had a chance to go back and make the most of the opportunity (I have a big assignment due next week, another the following week and exams at the end of the month).
Now I'm torn between spending time with my sister and niece, spending time on Tupperware (which I NEED to do to earn my SuperStart kit!), catching up on reading, writing my assignment and spending some quality time with my favourite boy (ok, so he's one of two!). Hole in the head.
Oscar is still feeding ravenously and I am increasingly getting the double takes and the "How old is he again?". I mentioned it last week and it just keeps happening since. Oh, well. It's between me and the boy :P
Better get back to it - got my dinner dishes to wash (I was at a CFA related meeting that was awesome - Jane Ashton, sister of the lady, Julie, killed by her millionaire husband who claimed provocation, spoke on family violence and it was really, really good. If anyone has a group that they would like her to speak to, I have her card if you want her contact details. She has some great things to say about what you can do if you find out someone is in an abusive relationship, mentally or physically), local paper to read and teeth to brush, not to mention a full boob...
Sorry, no personals - I've been lurking and missing you all, though!
