Charly - one of the very first things my DH told me when we got together was... DAGGY IS GOOD!!! We're both huge dags, but we don't scrub up too badly.

Dragonstorm - Can we come to Nate's 2nd birthday, sounds like fun

Guess what, Lewis just took his first 4 steps!!!! He looked really shocked, but that could have been because I was shrieking COME ON, COME ON! I was using his pull along Percy (Thomas's friend) as bait and it worked!

Thanks girls (and boys) for Angus' birthday wishes!! Most unexpected and lovely!

I'm hardly ever on anymore as I am working tons of hours, about 40 per week at present. My husband is also working, and Angus' isn't in childcare, so whenever one of us isn't at work, we're looking after Angus. No time left for anything else really!

Happy birthday to all the babies, I'm sure you all had a wonderful day like we did. If I ever have time again, I'll fill you in and read all the posts.

Hope you are all well and loving your little boys and girls sooooo much (just like I do).

    Hi Girls,

Just wondering if all the bubs are on cow's milk now how much are they drinking?

It's just that the last few nights Lewis has been waking after about an hour after his bedtime and I'm wondering if the cow's milk is too heavy. He was on a hypo allergenic formula as he used to get constipated on the normal ones. Now his No.2's are either too hard or too soft so am thinking it's not agreeing with him. He has 200ml when he wakes up, 180ml in the afternoon and 200ml for his bedtime. He also drinks about 50ml of water per day. Should I be giving him less do you think? Or even watering it down a bit?

Happy belated birthday to Lewis, Angus, Mikayla, Nate, Lee and everyone else who has had a birthday in the last week or so.

I too have not been on here much recently. In the weekend we went up to Coffs Harbour to visit my sister. We flew up there and Diana was very well behaved on both the flights there and back. The trip itself was great too, apart from the fact that we didn't bring Diana's potty, so I had to spend a disproportionate amount of time changing pooey nappies . For some reason, she wouldn't go in the toilet, even when I held her over. Oh well, never mind.

Hope you're all having a great week. Hope too be back soon.

Sarah - we tried switching Caeleb to cows milk, but he's not too keen, so he's on toddler formula for the moment. We'll try again in a month or so to switch. He did have a few odd poos and tummy aches when we were giving him cows milk. So maybe both he and Lewis aren't quite ready for it yet? He has loads of milk though. A bottle when he wakes up, one after breakfast, one in the afternoon. One at night before bed and one in the night when he wakes and needs a change... so that would be a litre of milk a day, plus water, which he has inbetween, plus he still feeds off me from time to time. No wonder he has so many wet nappies! At least I know he's getting lots of calcium for strong bones.

Yes maybe I should go with infant formula too. I got so excited that he could finally have organic milk
I just read that 16oz of milk is about average for a 12 mopnth old, which is about 480mls but it's a very loose average, more or less is fine. The only bad thing about drinking too much milk is that it can slow the iron absorption down apparently.

DH says maybe it's not the milk at all, maybe his sleep routine is changing and he is going to start going to bed later in the evening. NOOOOOOOOO! I love him going to bed at 7pm, I run out of playtime ideas by then!

    MofL
I would cut the milk down to 2 bottles a day
how many sleeps is he having?
DD only has 1 x2hr sleep a day and is bed by 7pm and most nights sleeps through till 7 am (i say this loosely as she has been waking at 3-5am lately as she is getting her back molars through.

Ah poor Ashley, those molars must be so painful

Well the same happened tonight. He went to bed at 7pm, then about 20 mins later he was crying. We tried to leave him but he just wouldn't settle so I got him out for half an hour and then he went back to sleep.
He wakes about 6am and has 2 sleeps, one about 9.30 and the other about 1.30pm, so yes maybe we should stretch him out and just give him the one sleep. And then his 2nd bottle can just be a drink with his lunch. I will see how he goes tomorrow and if its the same I will try that. Thanks PP
