danni - hope jazz is ok.. lakshman makes lots of noise in his sleep and he has mucous still. but the paed said the noises are ok, and he's fine. go get her checked, jic.
jade - you could use the fitted ones for all your kids cos they fit all sizes, better than AIO. you just need different size covers.
sj - hope DH is better now, you too.
bron - thanks.. lucky it was just excema, i was worried when paed said he has sensitive skin that it might be lupus....
shell - hope your milk builds up. for the first checkup, we werent contacted by the ECC, we just turned up at the centre.
i did something very stupid yesterday, i thought id try to feed Poopy without a nipple shield. It was at the end of the feed and thought by now my nipples would be better, so i gave him the nipple without the shield for the last couple of minutes. then they hurt so much, it was excrutiating. it was so painful all night, i had to take some panadol. i cant feed him on the right breast now, im feeding one side and expressing the other. giving him a bit more formula.
Today i tried the right side again with a nipple shield but its still so painful, damn, now feeding is taking even longer. cos i have to feed, formula and then express.. im so annoyed with myself, i just thought after 4 weeks it'd be better. im starting to get worried there might be some bad damage.
hi everyone else.

....
but other wise my recovery has been great (no tears etc). I live on the NSW Central Coast.
.....breastfeeding is going well obviously and I am enjoying having a bub at my breast again (DS#2 weaned 3.5mths ago).
. I also use cloth on my 2 year old but mainly use pockets and AIO/2s on him.
. We co-sleep at night and generally get a good 4-5 hour sleep in there somewhere and then a 2-3 hour one...he settles straight after boob which is nice (he has not had the day/night confusion...yet).
hopefully a bit later tonight....
Anyway thats about it for me, I don't seem to get on here as much as i would like and I am hopeless at learning and keeping up with everyone. It took me 9 months to learn everyone in our little half of March thread so this whole of March thread is onna take some real effort on my part! I look forward to getting to know you all.
). Not sure if this means we've finally got BFing sorted, but I feel like we turned a corner today. Of course, tomorrow we might do a u-turn, but here's hoping. He's managed one- two BFs a day during the past week, but has been given EBM via a bottle (80-100ml) otherwise, because he wasn't interested in the boob when it was offered. Anyway, Cam is being fed approx every 4 hours. More due to his demands, rather than any routine I've tried to start! My milk supply dipped again a couple of days ago, so I just made sure I rested up, ate properly, drank lots of water and took fenugreek tablets. It was back to 'norm' the next day.
