Morning all,

popping in again while I've got the chance. I can't believe how fast the time is going with our bubs. before we know it, they'll be rolling then, crawling then running round the house after us!

After an awful night Tues with 16mo DS (bad case of croup) last night was (touch wood) the dream of all nights with both kids SLEEPING THROUGH!!!! Still can't believe it myself although I'm sure it is only short lived. Fed Macey last night at 4pm, 7pm, 9pm then gave her 100ml formula at 10:30pm and she drank all that too! Was worried that with such a full belly, she'd end up vomiting it back up again but she managed to keep it all in and then snoozed for the rest of the night. Was up & going with both kids awake by 6:30am but was fabulous to get a decent chunck of sleep for a change.

so we're off to a good start today with both kids fed breakfast and back in bed so I can have a peaceful uninterrupted shower!

off to the gym this morning with the 2 kiddies. a young mum here is town who is also an aust champion triathlete runs "mum & bub squad" sessions where we do a 45min gym circuit with the kids in the same room as us so you can stop at any time to put a a dummy back in. some mums have even been seen doing thier squats with the bub sitting in the Baby Bjorn carriers.

as I'm only mnagingt o go once a week, I'm not sure how much its helping my fitness and weight loss but at least its an excuse to get out of the house and do something for me.

sorry to hear about the colic-y bubs in the group. My DS was a terrible bub with colic- would really upset him. I tried all the remedies on the market. in the end the only things that seemed to help was to keep him lying flat for a good 5-10mins after finishing his feed before i sat him up. they say it helps for all the little bubbles of air in his belly to form one big bubble that then comes straight up as a burp once they'd sit up.

another suggestion for the bubs that are unsettled is to maybe have them seen by a chiropractor that specialises in treating babies. With DS I didn't know it could help until he was nearly 10 weeks old and by stage, we'd nearly seen the worst by then. with Macey this time round, I had her seen when she was 10days old and has been so much happier ever since.

I have always beena big sceptic of chiro's but wouldn't hesitate taking the kids to see them now- absolutely no bone crunching gets done and doesn't even seem to upset them at all but can make a massive doifference to their temperement afterwards.

anyway there only suggestions but I hope it helps some of you.

ok need to run, can hear macey waking for a feed. have a great day.
