Well we went to the doctor last night and she is unsure what it is. Could be a bite or allergic reaction and the fevers were something else or it is a viral infection. But either way we went away knowing it wasn't anything serious. Be nice to know what it is all the same though. Am keeping him out of the yard today and see if we can eliminate a few things for the moment. But there are no more temps and he is alot happier and only woke once last night. He only woke with one a 10c piece sized one this morning and that has since gone down. He has little ones though that really do just look like mozzy bites. I have also noticed a big red mark at his bum hole, so will have to keep an eye on that. The doctor suggested we try some quarterzome cream and will do that 2day if anymore come up.

Anyway we are going to Mackay again tomorrow and won't be back for a week. Have my scan on Thursday to see if it is a girl/boy. Hopefully that will make name picking a little easier. We can't agree on anything.

Awww poor Lachie.
Does it seem to be itchy? Yariv used to welt up when he was bitten by a mosquito. They must love his blood, as he is always bitten - but doesn't welt up as bad any more.
Shaun has been bitten by fleas recently. The previous owner of our house had dogs inside the house, and there must have been fleas in the house - as well as outside. And they must love Shauns skin, as he was being eaten alive. Doctor prescribed some cortizone cream, which has really helped. You could probably get some over-the-counter and it will help heal the welt and any itch there might be. And as Christine says... phenergen or valergan are also good for allergies so that may also help.

Kim: good on you for starting to run again. I used to love jogging - not that I was good at it. I was doing little sprints in my backyard the other day and I was surprised how good it felt (after two c/s's). I did a class at "Step into Life" outdoor training last week - and have another class tonight... and I managed a short jog there too. When the weather cools down, I might start jogging again.

Doesn't appear to be itchy, but then I have never seen him itch mozzie bites either. They just keep popping up and down.... really weird. Yeah got some of that cortizome cream this morning, only just put some on a while ago and now he is asleep, not sure if it helped yet. But it is just dermaid they gave me, which it is not dermatitis. So a bit confused atm.

I have always seen it advertised only for 55+over, ... Well, that's not the case. My GP informed me about it and when I rang the BREASTSREEN clinic for an appt they asked me whether I was over 40 !!!!

So, there you go ... It's an absolutley FREE service. KEEP IT IN MIND LADIES when you turn the big 4-0.

I was paying at the public hospital all these years for a mamogram (& ultrasound).

So THIS MORNING I had a mamogram at the local BREASTSCREEN clinic which is beautifully put together. Very pretty & relaxing decor. They give you a sweet cane basket to put your top & bra (& handbag into) which you carry with you into the x.ray room. A very private journey (unlike the Caulfield public hosp I used to go to & have to pass a ton of men in the waiting room all staring at you half naked in your gown). At the BREASTSCREEN you wear your disposable navy gown tied up at the back (unlike the Caulfield hospital whom wanted it open at the front). At the BREASTSCREEN later on when the x.rays are done you get dressed & are kindly escorted to the waiting room (now fully dressed) where there is lovely relaxing waterfall music playing.

It was by far a pleasant experience at the BREASTSCREEN ... Well, now I've just gotta wait to see my GP for the results. I have had regular check ups since I had a scare with breast cancer a week before my 34th b'day. I'm now 42. (Tho I did have my 1st mamogram at 26, a scare back then too.)

The DOCs especially take it very seriously if you have a Mother, Sister OR someone on your Mother's side of the Family (like my Auntie who was diagnosed
at 38).

Fingers crossed I wont get the results for sometime as it can take more than 2wks to get into my GP ... YEP, Ballarat has a massive shortage of Doctors here

Just thought I'd share my experience with YOU ALL today, ... Hope YOU ALL don't mind & that it's not upsetting to anyone as I understand the subject of breast cancer can be.

OMG these things are worse. This is really freakin me out. They are spreading. Now on the back of his arms and his face. On his legs they are all spreading into one and just look like a mass of horrible red. Took him back to the doctor and she suggested we try claryntine for kids and get him in to see the Peadatrician earlier then our appt next week. Gosh it looks so horrible, makes me itch looking or thinking about them. Will post some more pics if anyone is interested.

I would give him phenergen Sheree, its not going to hurt if its not an allergy and if it is it will work quickly.
Lorelle- I had a mammogram a few years ago, my mum's mum had breast cancer and my mum died of type of breast cancer which affected her ovaries and caused ovarian cancer. I was booked to have genetic testing done through Westmead hospital but unfortunately Grandma died the week of the appt. making it pointless as they need a blood sample from a relative who has survived the disease. I worry as I have 2 daughters, also grandma's mum died of uterine cancer in the 1940s.

OMG Sheree - they are awful! Poor little guy. What's the skin like around them? Normal or flaky?
Dermaid's just an over the counter cortisone cream, not for anything specific. If it's topical and you give the claratyne orally he'll be fine. They're absorbed differently. They look like my cannabis hives though. lol I can't stop scrathcing now....
Have you posted in the childrens medical condtions section? SOmeone else might have seen similar?

sheree - oooo i am so excited that you are going to hopefully find out if you are having a boy/girl, will definately help with the name choosing, our friends had a baby boy on Monday and still haven't named him. Hope poor Lachlan's welts have disappeared, what a strange thing.

leanne - pat on the back for another 200g lost, keep it up.

lorelle - Arch has killer tantys at times as well, they are hideous, when they happen in public i make sure that i dont look at anyone other than Archie so that i can't see peoples bad reactions to my frustrated boy.

christine - hope work wasn't too bad today, hope Riley was okay at daycare.

tania - yep, they always catch up on their slep eventually dont they, i find it so surprising ust how long they can stay awake and happy for though!

sara - big kisses for Colby, hope she is improving.

kim - i like yur tanty strategies, will definately put them into practice around here.

Arch didn't have a sleep today, seems he goes without a sleep every 3 days atm. Went to kindergym this morning, Arch had a ball and i joined the committe, which is a HUGE step for me, first meeting is next Tuesday and i am gonna be SO nervous about meeting new women and having to converse with them, i am praying at least one of them is nice, there is only 3 women on the committee so i am quite comfy with the idea of a small group. Arch has his first swimming lesson in the morning, Jay is gonna go in with him. My friends 14 month old took his first steps today while we were there, it was so exciting i had tears in my eyes!! Its gonna be so much better now that the boys can run around together.

After giving him Clarantyne this arvo, you would not believe it but they have completly disappeared. Absolutely amazing..... So it is an allergic reaction. Buggered if I know what.

I'm turning 4-0 on the 14th Feb.
I went shopping today, looking for a present for myself Since I was pregnant with Shaun, and I got really bloated, and doc told me to take my wedding ring off or it would be cut off... I've not been able to get the ring back on. I'm not sure if it's fluid or fat - but my ring won't go past my knuckle. So today I went to look at rings. I want Yariv to buy me another wedding ring that I can wear now. My real wedding ring has a band of diamonds in it (I didn't have an engagement ring). So I was looking at plain, simple bands today. But at 4 jewellers - there was only one that had a band in my finger size (Q). Then I saw a ring that had an amethest in it... and that caught my eye.

I'm really tired... so I'm hitting the sack. Ooohhh look... 11.45pm. I can't remember the last time I went to bed before midnight! I honestly can't remember. It was definately a looonnnngggg time ago.

Sheree - Have you changed washing powders recently??? I sometimes get itchy and welty if i use a certain type of washing powder. My uncle got it once aswell. Just a thought. Glad to hear that it all cleared up now though! Good luck at the scan hun! I can't believe your 18 weeks already. My oh my time goes quick! Oh i just re-read your post! Your finding out the sex!!! I am going to say GIRL!!!

Lorelle - Yep def sounds like the infamous terrible 2's! Do you think she could've been showing off to her little "friend"??? I know Briley shows off to kids when she is around them. It must have been hard! Fingers crossed your results come back all good!

Tania - 15 weeks!!! WOW! I can't believe you and Sheree are having babies at the same time again! Aloe Vera gel works wonders on sunburn. I am still suffering with sciatica. Its getting really bad lately. I really have to go and see someone about it. Not sure who though!

Jodie - I hope you have an excellent 40th! My mums was last year and we had a 60's theme party for her. Are you planning anything exciting??? The rings sounds beautiful. I think i will be waiting forever and a day for a engagment ring here!!! I am not in a rush anyhow! How are your beautiful babies???

Arch had his first swimming lesson this morning, Jay went in with him, he was a bit nervy but didn't cry or freak out at all, right at the end the instructor took him and made him swim under the water, i thought he'd freak but he wasn't worried in the slightest! I can't wait to get in eith him next week, there are only 3 other toddlers and 1 baby in the class, it was a good number. I thought half hour would be not enough time, but it really was ample time after all. the swimming wiped him out and he is sleeping now, woohoo. I fel the need for retail therapy this afternoon, naughty naughty, i need a new pair of summer shoes but can't seem to find any that are flat, so might have to jsut buy a pair of massuers to see the Summer out, ugly but comfy

Just when I thought it was all over the tiredness has returned...Yesterday I was really dizzy and tired, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head while I was at work.....All was ok by the end of the (dizzyness) but had an early night anyway. Then today I was much better but so tired by the afternoon.....Still enjoying every minute of this pregnancy though haha. I was saying to one of the guys at work that I am actually looking forward to the birth LOL....Ask me again in 25 weeks though I'm sure it will be a different story. Anyway Jayden is in bed (bit later than I'd rather) which means I have to finish the washing then get another early night myself.

i am used to him not having sleeps now, it doesn't wory me but the first few times it happened i was exhausted, it was ridiculous! I think it just takes a bit of getting used to. LOL at whether it was jay or arch freaking and crying, you made me giggle. BTW cute new ticker pic of jayden, he looks so grown up.

This afternoon Archie shoved me out of his bedroom, said "bye bye" and shut the door on me, i kept trying toopen it and he would push me back out and sut the door again. I left him for 15 mins then snuck in and he was just laying on the floor reading a book, he must have needed some alone time LOL, just like his mum, i go crazy without my alone time.

JODIE - I had my mamogram at the BREASTSCREEN clinic here in Ballarat, nxt to the Ballarat Base Hospital (I live in Ballarat). Before moving here 3yrs ago from the Sth East of Melb I used to have a mamogram & ultrasound done at the Caulfield Hospital (it's an awlful hospital) each yr after my surgery at 34.
I had surgery to remove a lump from my breast at 34yrs at the Monash Hospital, my surgeon was the same that Kylie Minogue had. Would you believe my younger sister had the same surgery at the same age with the same surgeon ... How weird is that

JODIE - You might want to check with you GP first ?? As the results are sent to a GP. The GP receives the results anything from 7 to 10days. *** Hey, your a romantic Valentine's bub : ) My friend here in Ballarat, her son Billy turns 1 on the same day, I have nicknamed him " Cupid Billy ". I have always loved the idea of a Wedding band with diamonds .. I've never been a big fan of engagement rings ... Um, I've been engaged THREE TIMES, LOL : ) Amethyst is my older sister's birth stone - it's a favourite colour of mine too !! Sounds gorgeous Jodie.

ELISSA - I should take a leaf out of your book - And yeh, not look at anyone other than Cendrine if & when she goes nuts again (which I'm sure will happen again) ... Thanks Elissa !!!

CHRISTINE - So saddened to hear that you lost your Mum that way. Can't imagine what you went through. My g8-grandmother & auntie fought a long battle with it. I know what you mean, I worry about Cendrine's future health there too. Just gotta educate them to be aware & have breast check ups when old enough to.

SARA - Your Mum's 40th sounds super !!! How, funny - I have been thinking lately that if Adam & I ever marry (we'd be paying for our own Wedding)I would love the idea of having a 50's theme. My folks were rock'n'rollers in their days in the late 1950's & I just think it would be FUN for everyone too. Maybe everyone come dressed in 50's gear & we wouldn't want any gifts. That would be a gift in itself to us. What do you think ??? Does it sound a bit daggy OR do you think people would like a change from the normal kind of Wedding (everyone knows me well enough that I would like more FUN then something ROMANTIC (if you know what I mean??) !!

SHEREE - OMG, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the pic. Yeh, I would have been beside myself worried sick. Poor you & oh, your lil man. Gee, I hope it keeps at bay. I have seen something like that years ago on someone & I think from memory it was a bite BUT don't know from what ??

TANIA - Yep, gonna ask you THAT question in 25wks, LOL !! Nah, you have the right mind set - it's a beautiful feeling to hold that brand-new sweet lil bub's warm & soft body on yours. It's the only thing I would EVER ASK to feel again, if I had ONE WISH for myself in life. " It's PURE MAGIC "

**** " WISH ME LUCK MUM'S " as I have an appt wt an :doctor: IVF specialist here in Ballarat this morn at 10am (yeh it's 2am, can't sleep .. Worried about it)to see about trying for another bub !!!

Cendrine was concieved naturally BUT i need to see this specialist as a growth was found in my uterus before Xmas & I have to find out what needs to be done there & what the specialist thinks I should do this time around. I'm not keen to go through IVF but if need be at least this Doc is within the field. My GP said he is fantastic & will try other methods, etc ... before going to the extreme of IVF.

^^^ Have any of you gals been through IVF just incase I ' might ' need some advice ??? And hope that you wouldn't mind !!

... Will let you know how I go at the appt !! (Gee, I'm so over appt's this wk, ... Augh )
