Elissa: That would have been so cute to see! Jayden loves his alone time too...means he can have his dummy! Thanks...I can't believe how grown up he looks sometimes. On Sunday night he was racing his 8yo cousin & some family friends (at about 9pm!) I'd go Ready Set GO and he'd be off...I couldn't believe how well & fast he could run....He beat a 3yo a few times!

Lorelle: Good Luck with your appt today! All will go well I'm sure.

Shazz: Well done on your weight loss! Certainly encourages you to keep going doesn't it? One of my friend's has lost 27kgs in about 11mths just by being on the exercise bike & eating right, she has 3kgs to go before her goal weight.

Well its our branch managers last day today...He only lasted about 6 or 7mths, don't know what it is about my work but we seem to be going through the managers! Since June last year we have gone through 2 service managers (the 3rd is starting soon) and 2 branch managers (new one being announced today) plus a few technicians as well. Its going to make it hard when I go on leave as there I am now the only one with experience with the program we use. I have to train 1 girl in my office & another who is in Maryborough......both I don't think will catch on too easily! I keep joking I'mgoing to have to arrange the birth in a lunch break and come back LOL.....Oops Jayden's awake

    Have a great day!

lorelle - how did the IVF appointment go?? How exciting that you are thinking about another bub!

shazz - woohoo on the weight loss, you go girl!

tania - will have to nick name Jayden, Road Runner! Sounds like you are carrying a lot of responsibility at work, i reckon the company are very lucky to have you on board, i think you will be sorely missed when you have bub. (gosh i just read this post and realised i sound like your fortune teller LOL!)

I put my application in to Uni today, its for a 12 month course called "Foundation Studies". Basically eases you into Uni study and if you are successful at the course you get straight into your choice course, instead of doing STAT. I thought it'd be a good way to ease into study, its free and its only 12 hours on campus per week so Arch and I can ease into Daycare too. The Family Daycare office is calling me in the morning to let me know if they have found anyone who has space for Archie, they seems heavily booked though, so im not hugely confident that i'll find a carer I'll be happy with. I am giving it all a go though, so fingers crossed things work out. I wont be disappointed if i cant find care for Arch, it'll just be a bonus if i do. I find out whether or not my application was successful early next week.

Archie did a yucky poo tonight and cried in pain for half an hour saying, "owee, poo" and grabbing his red bum, he settled eventually after some Panadol and nappy free time. Hope its just teething poos.

    Morning girls!

Elissa - Good to hear the swimming lessons went well. Good on you for apply for that course! Does that get you into an uni you choose or just the uni you are doing the course through? Its a great idea. I wish they had that on offer here in Townsville. Poor Archies bum! Briley is starting to be able to communicate pain now aswell. She tells me when her teeth are sore or if something else is sore. Make things easier. I have been giving Briley some time-out in her room alone in the afternoons lately. She normally trashes the room but she does have a rest on her bed in between aswell. It just gives her a chance to chill for a while.

Lorelle - Your wedding idea sounds fun! I don't think i would personally do it myself but each to their own! So long as you can look back at your wedding pictures in 20 years time and laugh at how great everything turned out! Hope the appoinment went ok!

Tania - Have you been getting you blood pressure checked??? I am sure you posted a similar post about dizziness a little while ago did'nt you?? Or was that Sheree? It sounds like you have low blood pressure. If you eat more salt it will help it. Thats a great way of looking at your birth. Be excited. Apprehension and tension will on hinder the whole process. I'm sure you will be fine. Have you got any ideas on how you want your labour and birth to go??? I learnt so much from Brileys birth that i changed things for Colbys birth. Now i have learnt so much from Colbys birth that i plan to change even more things for the next one. I wish i had've known the things i know now when i was pregnant with Briley. It gives you so much confidence in yourself. You must be doing something to those managers huh??? C'mon, confess! We won't tell!

Shazz - Thats awesome hun! So what are you doing??? I am considering trying to lose some weight myself. Are you just changing your eating habits??? I want to start either going to the gym or yoga/pilates but i need to get my hips and back checked first. I am still in quite a lot of pain from both pregnancies. Can you get sciatica in your left side??? Keep up the good work.

Leanne - You're always so cheery on fridays are'nt you! I would be to if i had to go to work!

Hi Kim, Christine and Sheree! Hope you are all well! I wonder if Sheree is going to tell us the sex of the baby?!?!?!?!

Well i am still sitting around here waiting on the phone call that says mum has gone into labour. She is 5 days o/d today! I just have to chill!!!

Briley is good. Colby is good. I got some new pics yesterday so i will email them around sometime today. You reckon i could get a good one of Briley cuddling Colby and them both looking at the camera.....NO! My camera is so damn slow at taking pics its not funny! Stupid thing!

    Not much else to report!

    Hope you are all well....

sara - i think its just for the Uni i am applying for. Yes it is so much easier now that they can tell us where they are hurting. LOL at Briley trashing the bedroom, for some reason Archie doesn't do that....can't work out why, strange child. Do you mean your mum is pregnant, or a mum that you are looking after?? Either way, woohoo how exciting, hope things happen very soon. i have a crappy slow camera too, haven't taken a single decent picture in 12 months i reckon

I have found a Childcare that i am REALLY happy with for Archie, they have room for him starting the week after next, 1 full day and 2 half days, he chucked a HUGE tanty this arvo when we left the centre, he wanted to stay, i don't reckon he'll have too much trouble settling in there wihtout me, I on the other hand will be a complete mess, the Director of the centre has a box of tissues waiting for me already!

Want to tell you al that my computer is riddled with viruses and keeps shuting itself down, so if all of the sudden you dont hear from me for a few weeks thats why. We were planing on getting a laptop at the end of the year, hoping this computer will hang on til then, dont like our chances though, i better get accepted into Uni so i can use theirs!

    Morning girls,

Off to a Meet the Doula session thismorning. MIL is taking the girls for me while Brent is at work.

Shazz - I have a friend that does TF on and off. She loses quite a bit of weight while she is on too. I don't know if i could be strict enough on myself. I suppose living all the way out in the sticks away from and shops or supermarkets i would'nt have the temptation to go down and buy a shyte load of sweet stuff! Might have to look into i think. Well i think i must have sciatica in my left side. It seems to be getting worse. Its hard to describe the pain but if you make one wrong move it almost knocks you to the ground. Brent thinks i am making it up and calls me and old woman! Its not a joke though, it really hurts!

Kim - Everything all right hun????

Elissa - Nah not my mum, she has her tubes tied!!! A mum through Birth Buddies. Glad to hear that you found the right DCC for you and Archie. I am considering sending Briley back to DC for 1 or 2 days a week. She is driving me insane lately. I think its boredom. She is and outdoor kid and i am an inside person until late in the afternoon! Poor little girl. I really need to do something!

Briley has been coming into our beds everynight. We are finding it hard to keep her in her own bed lately. I am sure its justthe teeth and once they settle she will be back to her bed but she is waking up so much during the night. She sleeps fine in our bed but i don't want her to get used to it.

    Anyone else have these problems???

Well i better get up and start getting ready. I want to go to Woolies and get the huggies nappies on special. Bulk boxes are $29.99 this week. I drove around for a day last week looking for them when i had the extra cash and now that i am half broke this week they are on special!!! GRRRRR!

    Have a great day ladies!

sara - thats good of your MIL to take the girls for you, hope you enjoy your time out. I think Archie is getting bored too lately, he is an outside boy too, but there is only so much you can discover in your own litle backyard by yourself, he's gonna thrive at childcare i reckon. Hope you get some cheap nappies. We had the problem of Arch wanting to come to out bed during the night and waking up many times, i started getting stressed about it, then al of the sudden he is sleeping well again, think its just stages they go through unfortunately.

Arch had a weird night last night. He woke up at 1am boiling hot, dry reaching and breathing really fast. I set up the spare matress on the floor in our room for him as i expected him to be spewing all night, but after a couple of hours of chatting and whingeing, i gave him some Panadol and he happily went back to sleep, he is okay today slightly warmer than usual. he did the same thing about 6 months ago, dont know what it is, am putting it down to teeth as he has 3 eye teeth coming through atm, its easy to blame things on teeth isn't it.

Evening all. Please don't worry about me - just feeling a bit sorry for myself. I actually think I'm worried about how we're going to cope when Cam gets back. He's never lived here in this house and Darcy has changed so so much since he left. We have this abosultely perfect routine and she has never been this great ever. I'm getting a bit anxious he's going to do what he's always done before and say"well I do it this way'. It always stuffs her up and he never has any idea that it's his fault. How ungrateful does that sound? Yep you go to work and send me your big dollars home to spend. I'm having a lovely time here on my own. Sorry, rambling..... there are greater problems in the world. I'm so anxious about it though that I wish it was still another 2 months away......
Little monster did keep me up until midnight last night - she just wanted to play. Lucky I wasn't tired I guess.
Work has brought an abomination of stress. I'm doing two roles again. Both full time roles. Both 2 of the highest responsibility jobs in the station, on part time hours. I don't want to let the younger constables down either and they're the reason I keep going. Just wish someone noticed instead of making mountains out of molehills and creating more problems.....

When I was on my way to do groceries yesterday I saw there was no-one in the hairdresser, so I took Darcy in. She sat so perfectly still while the lady cut her whispy hair into a bob. It's her first haircut ever! and of course I didn't have the camera...oh well.

I'm still plugging away at the weightloss challenge. Have lost 4.5kgs so far. Took up running again this week. Nealry killed me, but it's what helped me to lose 20kgs for the accademy so I know it works. I've been taking Darcy to the park at the end. She loves it. Let myself have a day off the diet today and eat what I wanted without looking at thier points values. Feel better now and ready to start again tomorrw. Surprisingly didn't want too much crap.

Anyhoo, sorry thi is all about us....just needed a let down.

Lorelle, glad your scan was good.

Really hope Sheree tells us what she's having cos I'm really excited for her and desperatly want to know.

Sara how's that mum going? I often let Darcy do that in her room too. This afternoon she just played with her doll for over an hour. She chats away to it it's hilarious.

    How's fulltime Chrstine?

    Leanne how's Katy going?

Shazz thanks. Got it. Get back to you shortly - it might be bigger than I anticipated.

Tanya, I know I wanted to write something to you and I forget.

Elissa so glad you found a good centre for Archie. I wish I'd known how much I loved it and Darcy loved it. I would have done it sooner. Well worth the $60 a day. What do you plan on doing after that prep year? I'm so proud of you girls.

Sara have you heard anything yet about uni?

kim i'm sure if you talk to Cam about how your feeling it just might make him understand how hard you've worked to get Darcy to where she is at and quite possibly he may make the changes nessary (sp) to live in harmony i know i feel a great lot less stressed when my Dh goes on business trips ( even though he rings me 2 times a day to rub it in that he is sitting by the pool drink in hand soaking up the good life - the bugger he is ) if you want to rant scream throw a mickey come on in here we are here for you you know that

    Evening ladies,

Kim - Good to hear from you hun. Glad that nothing to serious is bothering you. I can understand you angst about Cam coming back and stuffing up your routine. Fingers crossed he just sit back and does what you tell him to do! Yep i have heard back from UniSA. Did'nt get into BMID in the first round of offers but did get into BNSc. I declined and wanted to keep my first preference of BMID going for the 2'nd round offers. I don't suspect that i will get in but we will see. If i don't get it i will be heading back to JCU and doing my BNSc externally for the 1'st year than i will apply for a transfer to UniSA for the BMID. I hope that was'nt to confusing!

Elissa - I hope Archie is feeling better tonight.

Briley has been acting really weird at night lately. She won't sleep in her room. She will go to sleep in there but wakes up about 2 hours later and won't go to sleep in her bed. Brent had to sit up with her until 12 lastnight before she went to bed. I am not sure wether its a separation thing or wether she is feeling scared in the room. But why all of a sudden now?

Still waiting on the mum to do into labour. She has been booked in for an induction on wednesday but she is'nt going to go. She is adamant about not having an induction. She and baby are perfectly healthy so there is no real need for one.

Well i am so tired tonight. Hi to you all. Hope you are all well....

    Night!

kim - im sos orry you are feeling so anxious about Cam's return. I can definately see where you are coming from though, thats 1 good thing about single parenting, you get to make all the decisions about child raising yourself without having to compromise, im sure it will take a little bit for both yourself nd Darcy to adjust to having Cam home again, but you will both cope just fine. Big hugs kim. When does Cam actually get home?? oh, darcy must look so grown up now with her bob! Arch still hasn't got enough hair for a hair cut. Huge well done on the weight loss!! thankyou so much for your support and encouragement. Typical me, i have totally changed what im doing re: study and care though! Have an interview with a FDC lady tomorrow arvo, interested to see how Archie responds to her...BTW, just remember that we are all here for you, especially when things are a bit tough and you need a release, imena goodness, how much whinging have i done in the last 6 months, you were always there for me when i really needed it, and i will always be here for you too x

sara - bummer about not getting an offer for BMID int he first round, keeping my fingers crossed for you for second round. Archie went through the same sort of thing at night time a couple of months ago, dont know what caused it, but he did eventually get back to normal again. There were many times i ended up bringing him to bed with me, but i think persisting with keeping him in his bed worked in the end.

I had a big long think abut study/work/childcare, and have completely changed what im doing (typical me!). After visiting all the childcare centres and seeing the kids and chatting with the workers, i started to feel my passion for childcare come back again (i worked in Childcare for 12 months when i left school, but didn't finish the study), so i am enrolled in Cert III Children's Services through Cengage (used to be Thompson Education), after that i will do my Diploma. So the study is completely external, so now im not sure whether to put Archie into care or not, have an interview with a FDC lady tomorrow, so will see how that goes.

Gotta go, Archie is whinging at the bedroom door....

    HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!

Its been awhile, just incase some of you do remember me I wanted to pop in and say hello!! Its me, Vic (was neverplan username) with baby Adam. I've had to re-register.

I went to update something in Adam's baby book only to discover that it was completely empty. So I thought this would be the only place where things might be recorded. Thank god for posting on the internet.

Sheree and Tania - Congratulations! I was very surprised to see that you are both having another baby.

All the babies are looking gorgeous (I went and checked out the galleries).

    Vic
