Hi Girls....
Thank you everyone for the well wishes! I will go through the birth story another time as I am typing 1 handed...Ashlea is gorgeous but she has scratched up her face real good! She is a night owl and loves to sleep during the day so I have been up all night with her. BF'ing is kinda going well, she was only feeding for short periods in hospital but plenty of wet & dirty nappies so all good but my milk is coming in already and its very hard to attach now.. we will get through it once it settles down. I got home yesterday morning and had visitors all day and night, I logged on last night but no time to post. I will get pics up asap.....going to have a sleep now and we are going out this arve.
Look how little she is in the seat!!!!
Yup plan on thatt....though Cam has a cold and you'd think he is dying.....Darcy on the other hand is really unwell.....
tania - GL with getting the attatchment sorted out with those big milky boobs, hope she sorts out her days and nights soon, she looks adorable in her great big seat! Love her name, my middle name is Skye too. Have a great trip out as a fmaily of 4!
kim - hope Darcy gets ove rit quickly, guys are so pathetic! Spent the night with family last night and their son has a terrible croup sounding cough, so we are all looking forward to getting that next week!
christine - i had a little giggle last night when i realised that the girls name we have picked out for the next bub is "Jessie Christine"!
Archie is totally knackered, he didn't have a sleep yesterday then stayed up playing with his cousins til 11pm, looking forward to him having a huge sleep this arvo!! We spent ages last night reading baby name books, both agreed very easily on a girls name but its gonna be interesting agreeing on a boys name. Oh well we're not even up the duff yet LOL
Well done on the names ELissa...we are struggling. I don't want to think about any - just in case, but Cam is desperate. But then I feel guilty rehashing the last list because that baby never got a name.....stupid hormones.
Darcy has tonsillitis - again. Poor kid. SHe can't breath properly is as hot as hell and now refuses all medication. It's a struggle to get anything down....she's crying better go.
Kim, Riley has had another ear infection and had fevers for 3 days. I was actually glad to go to work and leave him with DH today he has been so whingy and clingy.
Elissa- nice name!!
oh Kim i hope darcy feels better soon and Riley too poor poppets
kim - big hugs x It is really hard when you have lost a bub previously, I refused to use the names we had picked out for our first bub too. Hope the Dragon gets some sleep tonight
christine - hope Riley gets a good sleep tonight.
Archie spent the last few hours totally absorbed in whatever it was he was doing. He was concentrating so much and using his awesome imagination. He just pottered around the house with his toys we didn't hear from him for hours! Now he has gone straight off to sleep. Just said to Jay, remember when it would take literally hours to rock and sing him to sleep and we thought it would never end, now he just goes straight to sleep! Jay is getting extremely clucky now too, he keeps asking me when i am going off the pill, he just wants to start trying NOW.
Hi girls!
Just popping in quickly congratulate Tania again. Ashlea is beautiful hun!
Quick update on us. Still looking for a place. Was declined for 2 places.Although found another place that I really like.
Girls are good. Briley is going through major attitude issues lately but i guess that is because of everything that is going on.
Colby turns 1 tomorrow! Man how time flies! We probably wont do much. Just a bbq probably.
I am very sick at the moment. I have been feeling off for the last week and thought that I was pregnant! But 2 tests showed negative. Lastnight I was absolutely freezing but it was'nt cold. Finally at about midnight my fever broke and I was sweating like a racehorse!!
Sorry for the lack of personals. I do check in here often to see how you are all going.
How are you feeling Kim??? Chugging along nicely there.
Hi to everyone else.
Probably wont be back in for a bit. Will let you know when we get settled though.
Thinking of you all...
Take Care!
sara - goodness me Colby's first year hasw absolutely flown y, it doesn't seem like many months ago that i was checking in here desperate to hear about the birth! Im sorry to hear that you are unwell, you must have freaked when you thought you were preggers again! Hope you get better quickly. Bugger about being knocked back for the houses, life ain't easy for the single mum, it really sucks cause no-one needs a house more than a mum and her kids, im sure you will find something soon though. Love your new ticker photo, its amazing how much Colby looks like you!
Archie took his nappy off this morning but hasn't had a wee or poo since so i am hoping he might do it in the potty, doubt it though
Good luck trying for bub #2 Elissa how exciting i would loveanother one but thats it for me i really couldn't do the pg thing again i really don't think my body would allow me too any way so i'm living through you guys
Happy first birthday sweet Colby
hi everyone else
Me too Shazz, now that we have a massive mortgage we can't afford any more and time has almost run out for me too!
I will just enjoy all your babies.
Hey girls....
Happy Birthday COLBY for tomorrow!!! Hope you guys find a place soon
Good Luck TTC Elissa
The basics of my birth story....
Went in Sunday night to have gel inserted, they had me on the monitor where I was getting weak irregular contractions. They did get a bit stronger and closer together so they gave me panadol and a sleeping tablet. I slept through until about 3.30am when I was awoken by the girl that was accross from me having her baby. Dr's came around I think about 8am to do an internal, contractions had started to get stronger by this time, they said they will just start me on the drip and I should go fairly quickly from there. I didn't really have any concept of time but it must have been about 10.30am by the time I was on the in delivery and on the drip they let me go an hour with it on the lowest which brought the contractions on thick and fast! I was trying to look at the time and I remember it being just after 2pm when I had the urge to push and it seemed like it was only about 5 pushes and my beautiful baby girl was born at 2.30pm. Labour all up was 4hrs, I got through the breathing a lot better this time that with Jayden but the pushing was a lot worse!! (sorry to those who haven't had theirs yet!). There is probably more to it but thats all I can think of now....Really the whole experience was pretty good and quick.
Things aren't running too smoothly here, feeding has gone pretty bad although she isn't too bad during the day but then I'm up all night trying to feed her and she is refusing. Last night I had to express a bit to give her in a bottle, didnt help that I was so engorged too so she couldn't latch on. Now the engorement has settled but I can't get her latched on properly now and its hurting! We have an appt for the LC on Tuesday so hopefully I can hold out til then.
Chris is being father of the year of course and hasn't even held Ashlea, except for when I asked him to put her in the crib in the hospital...I am so dissapointed with him but I have more important things to worry about ATM. He is looking after Jayden really well though so I can't complain too much.
I won't be around much until things settle
shazz - it really sux to think that you wont be having anymore babies doesn't it? I dread the day that Jay says no more to me.
tania - great to hear that your birth went really well, what a great job you did, its funny you say that the labour seemed to fly by, i was in labour for 17 hours and it only felt like about 4! I am really sorry to hear that you are having issues with bfing i hope that you manage to push through with it til your LC appointment, if not don't be hard on yourself. GGRRRRRRRR at Chris, though not surprising hearing of his behaviour of late, sounds like you are keeping strong and focusing on yourself and Ashlea atm and thats great. Look forward to hearing from you soon, hopefully things will be feeling more positive and easy for you x
OMG!!! My sister just tld me she is pregnant!! I will be an Aunty for hte first time, i am thrilled to bits! (and very jealous, i want to be pregnant too LOL) She is very exctied but freaking out too, she broke up with her long term boyfriend 6 weeks ago, a week after they broke up she had a 1 night stand (doesn't even know the blokes last name,he's from out of town) so she isn't sure who the father is. Poor thing, she was on the pill and everything. But everything happens for a reason, and we are very excited. She has an u/s soon to date the pregnancy then she will know who the baby is. Her ex is being so sweet and supportive and i know that he will be a big part of tis bubs life even if it isn't his, i just wish her journey to motherhood could be a bit smoother for her.
Archie found a pen today and drew all over himself, he is very proud of his artwork he he.
Oh Tania, hun. I hope everything sttles soon for you babe. It does sound a bit like mastitis though. Look after yourself.
Happy Birthday Colby!!I hope you three girls get settled really soon. Sara are you still tackling uni?
Wow Elissa, poor kid that must've been a shock. I remember when my sister fell and we had already been trying for 15months....even though I was happy for her, it nearly broke my heart. hehe on the pen though. Darcy loves nothing more than getting into my scrapbook pens....
kim - yeah, my sis actually got pregnant with her then fiance when we had been trying for 11 months (unfortunately it ended in m/c) I was devastated that it wasn't happening for us but it happened for her before she was ready, emotions run high while ttc!
I am so proud of my sis, she is gonna be a great mum, we have been chatting about newborns and stuff all morning and she really has a relaxed attitude to it all and having seen me go through PND she is adamant that she will ask for help whenever she gets overwhelmed, i am very proud!
HAPPY VERY FIRST BIRTHDAY COLBY
(Hope you had a fun filled day today COLBY ... and that your Mummy Sara has mountains of sweet memories forever !!!!)
Woo hoo, ... ELISSA, oh lovely & so darn exciting for you to be a 1st time Auntie... I was absolutely beside myself when my nephew was born 13 yrs ago ... That feeling will be with me forever
!! ... It's so funny when they are finally here because you can't help but look for bits of YOU in them. Everyone said my nephew looked just like ME for the first two years ... that was such a brilliant feeling & I felt so proud.
How lucky is your sister to have such a loving & incredibly caring sister in you Elissa... And to mention how 'proud' you are of her is just that much wonderful. What a tower of support you are & will be to her in her journey
TANIA, ... such a fantastic job beyond well done... and so glad it wasn't a long labour for you !! ... As for your partner that does concern me BUT then you & new Bubba come 1st for awhile now & I'm so glad that you see that amongst all that you are busy & doing right now. Wish I lived close enough to come help you. Do you have anyone coming to visit you to help or even talk to in person ???
For those of you that might know the story of my older sister recently finding out she has breast cancer she so far has had surgery twice within 2wks (they found a 2nd lump) ... she will have radiotherapy & chemo ... & drugs in between. Docs sound extremely hopeful cause she only had a mamogram in March & they consider 51 yrs of age young ... also apparently if you still have your period at this age that's also a bonus.
The Doc's said they are going to give it a great blast !!
Chat to you later gal's & you all have a super week ahead xoxoxoxox
