Christy, i know how frustrating it is being in pain and just looking for an answer. i was the same when i was 13 all the way thru til 17. i was palmed off from one specialist to another, eventually they decided i had a lesion on my cervix which then led to thoughts of endometriosis and so the loooooong road of operations and pain killers began, only ending when i fell pregnant.
Have you thought that it could also be Irritable Bowel Syndrome, gross i know, but i have it too which made the endo harder to diagnose because they kinda work together in a pain force to be reckoned with. After i had my last endo operation i was still getting bad bad pain that was similar to endo but just a bit different, when i went back to the specialist who did the op he said there was absolutley no endo left, it had all been cut and burnt out and a dye had been run through my tubes and there were no blockages, he said that the cramping and stuff from IBS can present like endo too. i just happened to have both and sometimes couldnt tell the diff.
Sorry, i know thats probably TMI and long winded but hope it helps
Thanks for your tips on feeding

    Hey there Nelly!!

Tara, the GP talked a bit about IBS, but as I don't have the symptoms down below she sort of thought it wasn't it. I suppose it would be in the back of her mind if tests come back normal?

Vicky - yeah I know... it would take a tank & a few dozen people to usher me off to the hospital

The pain isn't as bad today, which is great. Its just a dull ache that I notice when I sit down. So I've been working today cleaning & cooking & walking.... I'll have to rest soon.

Christy - have you had endo before too? i remember quite a few on this thread have it (vicky and taralee) forgive my memory if you have already mentioned it, and i am gah gah memory head today.
Good luck with test results - i like tests IF they tell you what it is, so then you can have a go at treating whatever it is.

i would crack myself if a GP told me i was preg - would have to be immaculate conception!!!

I have IBS (since going to 3rd world countries as a 20 yo backpacker - eeek 20 years ago!!!), i've had to adapt my diet because of it, but manage it ok most of the time. How tricky for IBS nad endo to have crossover in the pain department - (diagnosis wise).

i used a woollen shorties on bilby whilst out yesteday, and they worked great, another FIRST for us. always learning. The little froggy and butterfly embroideries got lots of "cute" remarks. I just burst with pride when i look at my girl, i think she's cute whatever i put her in! She has no grandparents making a fuss of her, so those strangers in shopping centres, Spotlight (where i spent two hours yesterday!!!) etc are her surrogate grandies i suppose!

i've just taught myself to make a pinnie dress, it's my first ever sewn garment, prior to this, all i've ever made is MCN boosters, inserts, trifolds (straight stitch on straight rectangles) so this is a BIG deal for this L plate sewer ha ha! So exciting to make something that can be worn (made it for a friend's 14 month old to wear on xmas day).

TARALEE - how wonderful to hear the sleep is improving, that's great!

Good on those of you who are noticing which milk or formula is affecting your bubs, i reckon that's the best tool us parents have - the power of observation - we're with them all the time, to notice what suits them and what doesn't.

We're still having less and shorter breastfeeds in the day, and longer "i'm super thirsty" bfs in the night. Bilby knows what she wants (and is not shy to SHRIEK her demands ha ha!!!). Poor Spotlight staff, she has a shrieking fit in there each time i go, wants to be HELD all the time, so there's me with empty stroller, rolls of fabric, can't get thru ANYWHERE cos the rolls of fabric make us so wide, and hands full of squirmy bilby!!!! i look forward SO MUCH to going there, and by the time i get to the counter, i am a wreck! Lucky the other shoppers are interested in her cute nappies. We went in there yesterday and the fabric the nappy maker had used on the outer of the nappy, was right there on a roll of fabric at the checkout! ha ha - lovely rainbow stripes. They wanted to know if i had made the nappy! coudln't take the credit for a WAHM"s handiwork, but maybe oneday i will walk in there with bilby wearing a pinnie dress that i have made so i CAN say, yes, just a little something i knocked up!!! ha ha

Tara - you speaking of endo pain from 13 - 17, i had so many (different) gynae issues in teenage years too, i remember being told - this will end when you have a baby - such a brush off. I wonder if it's like "stress", something doctors say, when they really have no clue and just want to shut you up!!

NELLY - ear infections at the chiro? wow i didn't even realise a chiro could help with that. Hope it works for Jakey!

VICKY - i think you having to stay home for visiting tradespeople is Karma's way of making you take it easy, a bit. No way a busy mum can EVER really take it easy, so that's why i say "a bit".

KIMBAZ - hope me asking why you are grieving was ok to ask, now i understand. I felt sad for no longer being pregnant for quite a while after having bilby, i really really missed feeling pregnant, cant explain why. WHen weeks before having her, i was so OVER being pregnant. maybe you always want what you cna't have in this life heh? and being very hormonal doesn't help. I thought the hormonal excuse was a crock UNTIL i got pregnant, now i get it. How is life with your Jasmyn Kimmy? what little tricks is she doing today, this week? I'd love to see more photos of her!

BIlby's two steps on Monday, one step towards daddy last night. So no running as yet!!!! I'm sure she's working on it!

i would love to send you girls xmas cards, email me with your street addresses if you wouldn't mind. i'm at [email protected]
no pressure for you to respond with cards back to me, this is MY thing, don't wish to "put upon" anyone else.

I love receiving cards but quite frankly suck at sending any kind of postal correspondence - our thank you cards for our wedding and Jake's birth are still in a box somewhere!

SO I am happy to give out my address but cards aren't my thing so this is my xmas message to you all...

Merry Christmas to you and your families...
Whether you celebrate the Christian or Pagan, Jewish or Jedi traditions at this time of year make sure you surround yourself with love and happiness.
    Don't drink and drive. . . self explanatory. . .
Don't drink and DTD bcos if you aren't already you will prolly end up pregnant by having a drunken "let's make a baby moment"
... it gets me every time!

    Take care lovely ladies!

LOL Nelly!!! PMSL.... I still have Matilda's thank you cards from her birth hehehe.... I sent e-cards last year.

Gigi I was never diagnosed with endo before, I only know about it from BB but I had horrible horrible periods from the time I was 14. Even the last AF before Matilda, I was vomitting due to the pain on the ground crying, and was doped up on pain medication... horrid thing. I still remember it, I bled for 14 days straight and 10 of those days were super flow... like a box of tampons every other day. I was going to go to the GP about it but found lumps in my breast and forgot about AF, then we had a celebration when we found out the lumps were okay via u/s.... and then Matilda was conceived. After Matilda, AF was 5 days moderate flow no pain whatsoever. And its been 2 years since AF.... and she still hasn't started flowing yet. Just pain.

rofl nelly - I don't mind if a bit of drunken baby making goes on here in my house - just as long as that is all that happens, with a negative result! apparently there is a 6% (where do they get these stats anyway!??!) chance of conception occuring after a tubal ligation - knowing my luck I'll be one of the 6%! on christmas cards - I'm useless. I'm struggling to get the overseas christmas present for DH's dad finished in time to send (and where in the fine print does it say that once you marry someone you become responsible for their families birthdays and christmas presents???!!!) bah humbug!

Christy - it really does sound like endo - which can't been seen by ultrasound, or diagnosed by a bloodtest. hope they send you to a gynie. You have probably had undiagnosed endo for a long time. It doens't necessarily mean you have trouble falling pregnant either- look at me, I have 3! (and two angels!) it all depends on where the endo is located. I hope you can get to the bottom of it. chronic pain sucks!! thank god i'm in the part of my cycle this week were the pain has subsided...that is until next week (sigh)but at least a week reprieve is better then nothing.

Gigi - well done on making a pinnie - i sewed lots of clothes for Laura when she was little. it was fun. Its good to hear you sounding "up" hun.

Hi the rest of your gorgeous girls.

Its stinking hot here today, I have shut the house up and put the aircond on. Aston is feeling it, and his teeth and giving him heaps. He has stopped have a bf before bed at night, so that makes it one feed a day now and I think he is cutting out his afternoon sleep. He has been sleeping for about 2.5 hours in the morning, and the last two days hasn't gone to sleep in the afternoon.

Did some painting today with a friend. She may have cancer in her salviary glands, she had a biopsy on Monday, and the results come through today. god I hope she is ok. got to grab each day and live it to the fullest dont we. cause you just don't know what is around the corner.

*sigh* I think night feeds are officially off the menu

Went straight to his cup of half milk / half water book and bed didn't even pull at my top which was what he used to do if he was tired.

Still having dinner time battles won't even let me near him with a spoon has to feed himself and isn't too successful... had about 6 courses tonight I know way too many but trying to get him to eat enough of anything! he ate watermelon, played with a corn piklet, ate a few peices of peach ate a few mouthfuls of risotto ate a tub of yoghurt.... and the worst bit is I eat what he doesn't - not good!

Vicky - hope your friend is ok. We've also cut down to 1 feed a day just before her night sleep. She loves it (cant imagine stopping). She's stopped trying to strip me or fish out a boob in public.

Nelly - you are hilarious. We might be one of those boozy conceivers...i get boozy after one drink after that i'm anyones!!! LOL

Hello to everyone else! Has anyone heard from Jols?

Going to my office's christmas party tomorrow. The theme is Nautical. I'm going with Ella. We're going as sailors. A bit excited! Got a little folded newspaper hat for the both of us. LOL

We've got more backwards commando crawling and bum lifting. I wonder what comes next?

I have broad band!!! YAY!!! can you tell I"m excited!!! I will be able to do so much more now! I'm going to upload some video of aston grooving his wild thing.

nelly ... I got flicked with a full spoon of yogurt last night if that makes you feel any better. Thankfully Rich walked out of the room to laugh! was NOT impressed. Jake will get more successful with getting the spoon in the mouth, I promise. every time aston sits down to eat my favourite part is the cleaning up afterwards (yeah right!) I cuss under my breath as I wipe down the chair, and try, pick up food, and clean up the floor...its sooooooo fun. but its ok...I'll get my own back some day. lol

Hi Ann - have a brilliant time at your party. look forward to seeing Ella dressed up

Jols - I hope your feeling better soon hun. if you need to vent feel free to ring!

look forward to seeing all the picks Kim.

Vicky where are you posting the video? would love to see Aston on the move.

Nelly - i also eat ella's left overs. We are the same - if she doesnt eat dinner i resort to toast. She always eats toast. today she had half a pikelet for dessert and mooshed the rest into a ball and tried to eat it but couldnt and cried.

Today she was laughing uncontrolably at something. She was laughing and grinning and slapping the sofa. Dont know what it was but i'm glad she's entertained. Sometimes i'd just love to get into that little head of hers and wander around - i'm sure it would be fun.

Vicky - does Aston shake his tooshie too? Jaz stands by herself and rocks her hips with her hands on the small of her back, just for a few seconds, other times she looks like she's surfing. I'll look forward to seeing Aston boogie-ing.

Luaa- make sure you get photographic proof of you and Ella in your sailor hats, that sounds fun! So are you going to accept your bosses offer or still leave??

Vicky - sorry to hear of your friend's illness, you're so right, make each day count. I was in a coma for months at 28, people came to visit me and combed my hair, talked to me, played guitar to me, cos the doctors told them i might never come out of the coma. ANd after years of rehab, i can truely say i DO understand, "make every day count", cos i feel like i got the second chance. Doing something special like painting with you, that would mean so much to your friend, you took out time from your busy life just for her. tha'ts lovely.

AJP - great to see you back, are you completely over the flu, or still battling on with the sniffles? passes you a honey and lemon hot drink and some fisherman's friends lozenges.

CHRISTY - wow two years of endo pain and no AF, that's amazing. Were you able to find painkillers that don't interfere with bf-ing and preg. when you had Jovie? or did it stop during pregnancy?

NELLY - i'm like Ann, one drink sends me gah gah (haven't really drunk anything since Feb 06) and dtd - ha!

off to ATTEMPT to get a tiny bit of sewing done before the ravenous bilby wakes up for her night feed.

i will put Aston jiving on Facebook I think. I will do it later today, when I am feeling remotely human. Aston was up for most of the night, and I feel like I have been hit by a bus. plus my short reprieve from pain has finished. Af is about to arrive, and so the pain begins.... god I feel very over everything today. Sorry - I know I have a lot to be thankful, but its hard to dig deep when your tired and cranky and in pain....

think I will sleep when the boy goes back to bed. maybe then I will feel better. fingers crossed!
