WOW Kim - Huge congrats! Thats very exciting news. Have a great time in Newcastle, and enjoy the extra hands that will be around. I'm counting the days til my mum arrives!

Welcome Blanchie - your daughter is delightful, she has the most adorable smile, or I should say grin. it makes you smile right along with her. I had Aston weighed on Monday and he was 6.060kgs, and 52 cms.

Olivia, -vent away. I do on a regular basis lol. BTW are you breastfeeding? a good way to settle bub on take off and landing is to feed her. i flew to perth when Laura was four months old and it worked a treat. that sucking motion apparently helps them to unblock their ears.

Christy - what an angel that lady was to push the pram for you with Jovie. Good on you for taking her up on. I think sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot when we get offered help. Where abouts on the coast did you go to? I'm glad the burn is healing well. Salt water does amazing things eh.

GiGi - I hear you on the getting your independance back. We were a one car family until about a month ago. It was absolute heaven when I went and picked up my car, I felt like I had been given the keys to the kingdom, not just a car! Its just so lovely to be able to go where I want when I want to, and not have to rely on anyone else, or negotiate with DH about the car! I' m really looking forward to meeting some mums with bubs early next month. I'm feeling rather isolated, and a bit out of it....

AJP - yes Nathan is a sensitve soul... I love him to bits. I'm so aware that he is feeling out of sorts, so have started something new today, something to motivate him to feel better about himself, and do stuff without having to be constantly asked. If he gets 4 smiles on a chart in a week he gets to have 2 hours of me doing what he wants to do. AS he went to bed tonight he asked me " do I get a smilie mum for today?" and he did, he has tried really hard, god love him. But I think this is going to work. anything has to better then the constant nagging I have to do in the last few weeks.

Meredith - things in my house are still manic...I'm not sure if it is going to ever settle down now??? As for coping...hmmm, I'm not sure if I'm doing that real well either. I have my good days, and my bad. I'm pretty anxious about whether the diabetes has gone or not, so we will see how I am once I get those results in... I hope you are able to get some respite soon darlin. I know too well that fine line you are balancing on at the moment. Hang in there, and take all offers of assitance help respite that come your way.

Belinda - thanks for your reassurance. I did what you suggested, and talked about what it was like when he was a baby, while having a big cuddle with him. I guess he has been my baby boy for so long, it must be hard to surrender the role.

Well I;ve had a ***** of a day, and won't bore you all with the details. going to go to bed now, and hopefully tomorrow will be better - well at least after I have sat around for 2 half hours giving my blood to be tested! Fingers crossed that it will all be good....
