Kristie, Wishing you belatedly a very happy birthday. Hope you were spoilt by the boys!

Cindy and Nikki, Congratulations on your children being accepted by Bettina. That's wonderful news. My cousin has two daughters (now 9 and 11) who have been modelling and acting successfully for quite a few years. They save most of their earnings and now have more stashed away than people four times their age! They are both now at performing arts schools and are planning careers in the acting industry. And to think it all started when they were pretty little babies. he ha!

Sorry to hear so many babies are sick with colds at the moment. Let's hope that this is their main big cold of the season and that their little immune systems are being made extra strong as part of the process of being sick. Hope you guys get some really restful sleep soon. Must be hard going!

Tracey, You are doing so well continuing to express. It must be tough with such a hungry bub trying to keep up with it all. Just a thought...have you tried any of the milk boosting things I posted about a while ago? I'm currently taking Motillium - as Gussy's extreme screaming week caused my supply to plummet. I started on the Motillium yesterday and already my expressed volumes have almost doubled!

Went to see Gussy's allergy immunologist on Monday. Due to his allergies we can only feed him rice cereal and pear as solids at this stage (in conjunction with breast milk). All the extreme crying over the past couple of weeks has been an allergic reaction. I'm still on the diet to make my milk free from allergens (ie I can't eat dairy, eggs, wheat, seafood, nuts or soy), so the problem has been the solids I've been offering him. Now that Gussy's 7 months (corrected age) he's apparently not receiving enough nutrients from such a limited diet so we have to introduce one bottle of formula a day. However, because of Gussy's allergies we can't use any of the regular formulas and have to give him one called Neocate. We can only get it on via an authority prescription. It's an elemental formula made from amino acids and is not derived from the milk of cows, goats or soy so shouldn't trigger any allergies. Hopefully this might help him to pack on some weight! We start hydrotherapy next week in a group of "failure to thrive babies" - terrible phrase isn't it. It's designed to help strengthen their muscles. Apparently there's an ex-premmie there who's two and only 7kg. Gosh I hope that won't be our fate!

Hope all is going well with you guys.

Kirsty I havent tried any tablets but was thinking of buying some fenugrek. I will let you know how that goes.
You are doing such a terrific job with Gus. You are such a great mum to be sticking to a strict diet so that you dont upset bubs. I had a spicy pizza the other day knowing it may upset him.......I have no self control.
I hope that your hydrotherapy assists with Gus's muscle strengthening. I am sure he will thrive, he has been so far.
I cant wait to see some photos of him.

Cindy and Nicole - Hope that your photo shoots go well tomorrow. I am sure the kids will do a great job. Cant wait to see them in ads and catalogues.

Linda - I had a look at your updated photos. Emma is such a darling. You are really a talented photographer. How long have you been doing it for?

Well today i have cleaned the house in prep for playgroup although looks asthough its only Nicole and myself as everyone else is sick or bubs is. Will be nice and cosy. No flooding of the house this week though.......

I have made the final changes to my 1st plate and will now bake it and send it to my 1st client. HOW EXCITING. I have already had expressions of interest from other people of "wedding central" ( i am a member there aswell ) I hope that this little business venture takes off.

Puppy is well. she went back to vet today $60 later and they want her back again on the weekend????? not sure if i will take her. Will see what DH says. I might only go back if she is down in the dumps, she seems back to her normal self.

    Have a great day everyone

    Happy Belated Birthday Kristie!

Cindy - Congrats on getting a call back for Tori already. Tori must be a stunner...

We had our first colds of the season a few weeks ago. Benjamin had to go onto antibiotics. It's all good here now. The only thing is the cold weather that's sneaking on in all of a sudden. It was 4 degrees at 6:30am this morning here.

Benjamin has cut his second tooth. He now has the 2 middle bottom ones. I feel every bit of it when I bf him, which hurts. He crawls around happily now chasing his mummy, and if he finds something he wants he sits himself up and plays with it. He pulls himself up onto things too.

I hope everyone is feeling as good as can be expected and that those of us with a cold I hope get better soon.

    Melissa
