Just a quick post as I am about to go out.
Funniest thing ever - still laughing.
Ethan doesn't like to lie down in his cot at sleep time. It takes many trips in to get him to stay put. Likes to stand and play. I just went in to check on him and the poor little one was so tired he fell asleep sitting with his legs hanging out of the cot bars and his head resting on the rail. I would have got a photo but the door disturbed him. Oh how cute and funny.

Mo - Bummer I missed you! It was such a last minute decision. DH decided he would drop me off and take the boys to visit his nan who lives nearby. I ended up with a TRUCK load of clothes for the boys! I got a new Fred Bare long sleeve t-shirt for Joel for $7!! The market was the busiest I've ever seen it too.

Kellie - I'm so sorry to hear about your BIL and his wife. I hope Tahlia's feeling a bit better today.
We got so bored this arvo that we took Joel to the library to pick some books and DVDs out, then because we were still bored and driving through Vermont we decided to drive by "Ramsey St". We've lived close by for 5 years and never once had the urge to go and see it, but we were bored and didn't want to go home yet!! The court is way smaller than it looks on TV and very uninteresting. You wouldn't bother to make a special trip to see it!

I got bored so we went to Gumbuya park, M loved it we got to feed some Kanga's up close & M's smile was so big.
Then we got talking to a ****atoo & he was very talkative, when we left he asked Where are you going? Then he said bye~bye so cute.
She loved seeing all the animals can't wait to take her to the Zoo i know she'll love it.
WTG on the bargains Trish, The market was very busy, looking forward to to going again tho.

Good afternoon all!
Well it has been ages since I have managed to get in her and do more than read!
Not a whole lot happening on any level here. Caitlyn has been saying dada for ages and has FINALLY come out with mum. But it was the loooong "muuuuuuum" sound - almost like a whine! But at least she said it - and in front of someone else.
My sister came up for a visit for a few days on the 13th. She got here on the Friday and took the bus home on the Wednesday morning. Was nice to have someone there because DH left for townsville for a week on the Sunday after she got here.
Then we finally got approval for the car that we have been looking for but it meant that I would need to get to Townsville to sign the paperwork and to trade the car in. So Thursday afternoon I left for the mammoth 9 hr drive with Caitlyn to Townsville. We left at almost 1pm and got to my parents place just after 10 that night. She travelled really well! Just hated being off to the side cause she couldnt see anything. So on the trip back, in our new (not REALLY new, just different!) car we put her in the middle so that she could see things. Was just glad that the car that DH was driving home in (seperate to us) was running on free diesel! Budget is going to be a bit tight for a little while.
Anyway it was great being back in Townsville if only for a few days - drive back home on the Sunday morning.
No teeth or antying just yet - although she is playing with her ear a bit. She is VERY unsettled in her cot at the moment. HATES lying on her back!
We did try a different Rafferty's cereal the other day - gave her the worst case of constipation ever! Poor thing is still affected by it I think. Goes VERY red in the face and screams when she has a poo - even if it is soft. So I have her on the prunes for a few days to help soften things. No tear or anything but she does have a mad case of nappy rash!
Went to woolies in Townsville and they had so many different flavours of the Raffertys stuff! We have 2 out here! One of porridge, one of cereal. And then the little squeeze packets (Caitlyn will suck on one of them but not on a sippy cup of water :S )we have 2 of out here in Townsville there were quite a few - so I grabbed some!
One of my very best friends is due on the 5th July and I got to visit her while I was there. She looks great. And I have missed pretty much the entire pregnancy! Feel terrible! Wish I could have been there for her.
I am SOOO sorry for the extreme lack of personals and I promise to check in more regularly and actually post instead of just thinking about it. But I do remember one thing I wanted to say:
Viv- We eat after we put C to bed. But she goes to bed really early (615) so DH starts to cook as soon as her head hits the pillow - so to speak. And she is a wiggler when it comes to changing too - I give her an old toothbrush to play with. Distracts her and it gets her used to having one in her mouth.
Thats it for me - am sure I had lots more to say to people and I feel bad for not remembering things. Can I blame mummy brain still???

Hi Ladies
Its been very quiet in here!
Tahlia still has her cough, I keep thinking its getting better then it seems to flare up again. WHen she woke this morning I fed her, and then in a coughing fit she brought it all back up again. I know she brought up a lot too, cause she was acting hungry again, and then had another full feed. Lucky I was a bit full this morning! We are meant to be going to gymbaroo today, but think I might change it for another day. One good sign tho, she has been asleep since 8.15 and hasnt woken herself up coughing yet, that is a really good sleep for her.
She started clapping yesterday, it was so cute. I've been singing 'if your happy and you know it, clap your hands' to her for ages, so that probably where she got it from. She also raises her hands in the air too, like she is cheering too. Very cute

Kellie- sorry to hear that Tahlia is still not well. Ethan has had a cough for ages too. I think he is nearly better.
Exciting news - not sure if you all remember but Ethan would only eat tinned and jarred food. Well on Sunday night I pulled out some food from the freezer that needed to be used. I said to dh that if he didn't eat it he would just be a bit hungry. Well Ethan scoffed it down. Yay maybe now that he is getting better with chunky food he will eat my cooking. That will cut down a lot on the shopping bill.
E has been asleep for just over an hour so I am enjoying some peace and quiet. He has been very whingy the last couple of days. He was pulling at his ear yesterday so maybe he has a tooth finally coming. I am hoping that it isn't an ear infection. He seems a bit better today.
Dh is working in the city this week and half of next week so he is putting in long days. This is hard on all of us. I am not used to doing Ethan's dinner, bath, bottle, bed and then cooking dinner for us. I usually give Ethan dinner then he plays with daddy while I cook dinner and dad does bed time. Oh well I am sure a lot of you have to do all this by yourselves so I will try not to complain. A good thing is that I get the car since dh is catching the train. At least I am not house bound.
Anyway enough waffling. I am going outside to read in the gorgeous sun until Ethan wakes up.

Alz- Thats great that Ethan is taking home cooked food now. I know how expensive it is buying the tinned/jars of stuff all the time. C has been taking my home cooked stuff for a while now and it made a huge difference in the grocery bill - just wish I could cut down the formula bill!
We do a big cook up on Sundays and DH mashes/purees like mad - I don't let him watch the cars/football/other crappy sunday TV otherwise. We gave C some cooked pasta last night with some pumpkin/white sauce last night - we just dumped it on her tray and let her go for it. She LOVED it - made a huge mess and I don't know how much she actually got in her mouth but she took some food from a spoon as well. Am dying to give her something a little chunkier than puree though so we mash the potato and pumpkin now instead of pureeing and she seems to take that alright.
Mo-I am so sorry about your mum! At least you know that there will be someone with her 24/7 to care for her.
Kellie- Awww poor Tahlia! What a horrible thing for bubby! C has a cough too but not as bad as your little one. She coughs in her sleep but it doesnt tend to wake her up - and she definitely hasn't spewed from it. I thought you could get cough mixture for bubs but its not until they are 2!! We have just persisted with the humidifier and steam and eukybear etc etc. Makes you feel helpless doesnt it! My thoughts are with you!
Not a lot happening at work again as per usual but am very much used to that! Hope everyone is having a GREAT day! mwah

Hi everyone
Max has been a bit of a shocker. I can see a tooth under the gum now though (finally!) so that explains it. DH went away Monday morning till Friday so that is hard coz of Max being sick as well as teething. Lucky I have Charlie here to keep me company!
Kellie - This morning Max coughed and spewed up all his breakfast, but then doesn't want to eat much coz of his tooth. I'm trying to boob him up pleanty! Yay about the clapping too. Max does it as well and does it on queue now to that song! I didn't think he knew how the two fit together (coz he was already clapping by himself without the song), but one day I was singing it, and whammo..he clapped right there! Smart cookie! My CHN said it's a good step as far as their brain development is concerned. Good coz he can't do anything else!
Alz - It's good that E is eating your food. Max is usually such a good eater... I made him the yummiest lunch ever today and he didn't want it. Poor boy....it sounds like our lives are similar at the moment! It's hard doing everything on your own, even though you just deal with it!
Took Max to physio the other day and she gave me some exercises to do with him to strengthen his neck muscles and arms. We are also going to start gymbaroo too.....Such a lucky kid all the fun stuff he gets to do!
Well I'm off to have a cup of tea!

I've had a couple of busy days running around and having visitors and the biz is keeping me busy as usual.
Julia - I hope Max's tooth pops through really quickly. It's hard being on your own, but sometimes I enjoy just doing what I want too!!
Rebecca - Welcome back! How's the new car going? What did you get?
alz - That's great Ethan is eating your food! GL without your DH this week. My DH works until pretty late most nights so I have to do a lot of the work with the two boys by myself. You get used to it!
Mo - How are you and your mum feeling about permanent care? It's such a painful decision, but I'm sure it is best for you all. K is still sleeping through, but I promised I wouldn't mention it again LOL! How's Miss Maddi going?
Kelly - Poor Tahlia, I hope she gets better soon. She's so clever for being able to clap!!

Mums feels like i sending her away to die
Her cognitive memory is getting worse, plus her diabetes isn't getting any better either. She needs the 24hr care & i know that but i still feel like a crummy daughter.
We found her a really nice place 15mins from here, brand new only opened 7 weeks ago.
Now we just have to hope all the paper work checks out, She can move in as soon as next week.
Trish i think Kim has left thread, hopefully she'll pop back in to say how the girls are doing.
Great K is still sleep through, your should brag you went through some very rough months
Amber glad Myles is better, hope he gets back into a routine for you.

Julia - hopefully Max's tooth comes through soon for you. You will both love gymbaroo, Tahlia and I have done it for a term now and it is so much fun.
Alz - glad to hear Ethan likes your food now. Ever since Tahlia has been sick, she hasnt wanted to eat anything, she only wants boob
