hello all

i am soooo exhausted.. Asha hasnt been sleeping properly since her needles waking every few hours - hour or so grlizzling and thrashing around, coming to bed with me much earlier in the night and doing the same thing.. then when we finally get up because she just wont lay in bed anymore she winges wherever i put her its driving me insane!! yesterday i had to take her to the toilet with me because everytime i left she screamed the house down and my dads g/f sleeps here during the day because she does night shift and i feel bad if shes too loud ughhh i am really running on empty atm and worried about how i will fit everything in, house looks like a bomb hit it, washing piles everywhere, and i needa fit excersise in there too somehow.. better buy myself a few sugar free v's i think and get on with it..

Thanks for the tips ladies, I will pass them on. She is at her wits end I think, theres only so many nights you can go without no sleep. I forgot about that infants friend stuff, I will let her know Noni. And MD I will tell her to pat.

Noni - My house is an absolute mess as well. Also our garden is looking a bit worse for wear, I've been meaning to get out there and try and do something with it but it has been way too hot. There's no way I've been fitting in exercise...!

noni- i'm feeling your pain! i just came on here to post about lewis and read your post and it is exactly the same as what i was going to say! lewis had his needles on tuesday and has been shocking ever since. i have had no sleep and can't even make any toast to eat! i just took him and the dog out for a walk- usually this is a no fail way to get him to sleep but he's still whingey...it's doing my head in grrrr

hayley- very cute valentines surprise. what pressie did you get him?

happy valentines everyone. i've got mothers group this arvo with a nightmare whingey injections baby. nice!

still trying to catch up with my reading....have a question though....has anyone washed their infant car seat covers yet? my car seat's 2nd hand and i don't like the thought that it's been sitting around in someone's garage collecting dust and dirt for a while and putting max on it. just not sure if i can just throw it into the washing machine as is.

Fianne, yep we just chuck ours in the washing machine, they take a while to dry though from the layers of padding/plastic underneath.

oh gracie - i feel your pain!! i am trying to put asha down for a sleep now and she just keeps screaming her lungs out!! i just NEED her to go to sleep so i keep perservering with going in there and shushing her and giving back her dummy not sure if she will ever sleep again at this rate grrrrr

phew shes asleep who knows for how long but its something ahhhh peace and quiet, wish i was better at sleeping during the day then i could have a nap too oh well i am greatful for the silence.. hope it lasts a while!!!

Gracie – it is just a rubber mat that sits in the bottom of the bath so we can hold her sitting up and she won’t slide all over the place. Hadn’t thought about the curviness of the bath, ours is a bit curvy too so a bath seat might not work.

DH sent me to bed last night at 8:45. K still wasn't asleep (had been trying for an hour). He spent another hour sitting and quietly singing, patting, cuddling etc before she fell asleep. And then stayed up to make sure she got the whole way through the first sleep cycle!! I'm so lucky to have him, I really needed that sleep last night. Unfortunately I had a nightmare someone broke into the house and woke up screaming at 3 (took him an hour to fall back asleep after that).

K had a 2.5 hour nap this morning so I managed to get a good nap in myself. A lot better than her 30minutes yesterday!

I have sore pecs from pushing K up a hill yesterday - I used to be able to do push ups on my toes!! I'm too scared to go to the gym, I'll be a disaster!

Noni - it is so good when they finally go down isn't it?

We haven't got round to washing the capsule yet. She'll probably only last another month before she's too big anyway, will do it then.

Noni I hope Asha has a big sleep for you. I am not a very good day sleeper either.

I hope your SIl can get her bubs settled soon and catch up on some sleep, its so hard getting used to running on empty isn't it.

For all of those with Facebook how do I add you as friends (as you can tell I have no clue lol).

Went to Big W this morning and I bought two boxes of the wrong size nappies and I don't like a few things I bought so I have to head back up there this afternoon and do some exchanging. I shoudl have waited until I was fully awake before going lol.

Ok, have more time to post than I did this morning.

The big "V" went well (as in vasectomy and not valentines LMAO) and the op was successful, but we wont know if it was sucessful-sucessful until he has his sperm anaylsis done in 3mths time. He is putting on a brave face about it ("No, I don't need any ice" or "Oh, I'll just take normal panadol") but today he is sore as buggery. He was sore in the abdomen since he had it done (which is strange I know, considering it was his nuts they operated on LOL) but that is apparently because the vans diferens, which is the tube that takes the sperm to mingle with the semen (sounds like a party doesn't it?

) is up inside the abdomen and that is what they sever to stop them meeting, so it's a bit tender. I don't think he'll be ready to go back to work on Sunday night at this rate. I had a bit of a cry about it at the hospital while he was in there with one of the midwives at the hospital - long story but she was there assisting on the post op ward (its only a small hospital) - and she was lovely about it, told a few dirty jokes and before I knew it he was out. So our valentines day is a non event this year. He even said this morning that Julie Roberts could walk in naked and sit on his knee and he wouldn't care less LMAO.

And yesterday Alister had his dermatologist appt and that went really well. The Dr was fantastic and had a lovely manner. Basically he said it isn't a 'true' case of eczema, but he said in babies it can manifest itself differently to the typical definition of it. He said considering that I have psoriasis it could also be infantile psoriasis as that can also manifest itself differently to what it does in adults/olderchildren. So we just have to wait and see over the next few years

Sherie - so glad the V went well.... i reckon that pain he can live with compared to you giving birth to 4 kids! Must have been good to have one of the midwives there to support you. Glad the derm appt went well too - is A's skin looking better?
Noni - i am v impressed with your weightloss - that is full on. I have been on a 'diet' since jan and to date have lost a measly 1.3 kg or so...
had childcare again today - better than last week but still feels yuk. also did our tax from last yr naughty naughty so hope to hear from the acct soon and hope for arefund (may not be...)

cally- that bath mat sounds good, i like the sound of it, may have to invest.

sherie- glad v day went well. i didn't realise it hurt them so much- poor dh! can you get it reversed later on if you want or is it forever iykwim? i only ask cos dp is talking of getting one after baby #2. well happy valentines day...maybe you can massage each other's feet?

noni- hope asha is doing better, lewis still isn't too happy and won't sleep. i went and bought myself some chocolates to make myself feel better.

katie- pm me your full name and i'll find you on fb if you like.

pregpan- i've been on a diet for months and weigh exactly the same. waht did you end up deciding to do about the childcare.

md- wish i could be like you around chocolates. maybe then i would have lost weight. i went to hahndorf's chocolates to buy dp a box of valentines chocolates and ended up getting myself a little pack to snack on...well i've just wolfed down 4 and am about to polish off the box...
