Sherie - I think it may of been the pink bed covers making his eyes that colour. I have really light blue eyes and D has really deep blue eyes so Rory has got a amazing pair of peepers haha. Everyone comments on his eyes
Congrats on Alisters toothy pegs Is he feeling better now they have come through. Got any plans over the school holidays??

Hayley - His teeth came through about 3/4 weeks ago. He didnt have any problems....I didnt even know they came through LOL! The worst of his cold is over now, just a bit snuffly. Are you making your own food? Good thing you have access to a computer so you can visit BB at work LOL! Your IL's sound like a crack up haha Loved the photos of Spencer btw, what a little cutie!

Cally - Good luck with Katies vaccinations tomorrow. If I remember she had no problems with the last lot, im sure it will be a breeze this time too.

noni - I work for a real estate agency and they are awful at getting back to people. Hope you hear back soon

charli'smumma - I had the same problem with Rory. When we gave him dinner he woke up during the night. So atm we are just giving him breakfast & lunch.

I just got back from a play date with Rory's 3rd cousin (we are a close family). Had a great time too. Poor Bugga Luggs day sleeping is a bit all over the place after being so sick last week. I hope he gets back into his routine soon.

We went out saturday night for my BILs birthday and Rory stayed at his nannas & poppys for the 1st time over night. They hd trouble getting him to sleep but once he did he slept through...thank gawd! My night was ruined though, we walked to the train station, caught a 1 hr + train to the casino and I left my ID at home!! Arghh.

Better run. the house looks like a bumb hit it!

Back from holiday, Will was a charmer for all the in-laws. He traveled really well until the last hour of the drive home which was a nightmare. He was so full of smiles and was happy to spend heaps of time with his gran and granddad.

The infant led weaning is going really well, he was putting too much in his mouth and gagging it back up to start with but after only a few days he has already started to gum it and actually swallow it. He has had heaps of different things, I have been giving him bits of what we are having. So far he has had tomato wedges, lettuce, cheese, bread, chicken kebab, fish, capsicum,pastry, quiche and he sucked on some steak but couldn't get any off to eat. He hasn't choked at all (despite my mums warnings lol).

Cmum, hopefully Miss C will have a good nap for you on your flight. It gets hard to entertain them sitting in one spot. Will was awake for the 1.5 hour flight this morning and got a bit grumpy.

Noni, glad you and Katie got to meet up. Asha sounds very clever picking the right bottle

Sherie, congrats on the teeth. Hope Will's only take a couple of days to come through.

We had another development while at the IL's - Will can go from sitting to hands and knees. We left him sitting on the floor and when we looked back over he was on his hand and knees lol. He was getting stuck like that but then he figured how to flop onto his tummy.

It is late here, will be back tomorrow for some more personals.

OMG The Easter Bunny brought Quick Reply back!

Csmumma I take back everything I said about the portacot being magic...E's been very unsettled at nights since we got here, I'm sure it's the teething as she sleeps better when we give her panadol. I've stopped counting the getups each night because they all blur together.

E has been a huge hit with the family, smiling and charming everyone...still pretty labour intensive though as she's v clingy right now. Loves her little 5 y.o. cousin to pieces too and I think it's mutual. Poor H has had a dose of head lice to add to her antisocial rash, poor kid.

Solids has been coming along slowly, most of it's still coming straight out but we've been experimenting with the temperature and she seems to like having it a bit warmer...still doing pear and farex, might try some pumpkin soon.

Easter bunny went overboard this year, Missy E woke up with a little soft bunny at the end of her bed, and was also given a Jemima Puddleduck book, Bunnykins cup and a huuuuuge white fluffy duck that's as big as she is LOL. Lucky for mummy they all came with chockie eggs since H has become propietorial and won't share hers!

Yay for all the milestones, teeth, rolling, grabbing bottles etc - don't we have a clever little bunch of bubbies!

MD - sorry the portacot magic didn't work. We gave up on it and just put her mattress on the floor while we were away. While she can't roll I figured it didn't really matter. Poor H, rash and lice!!

Arte - glad that Will had a good weekend and was a hit with all the inlaws.

Renee - we get heaps of comments on K's blue eyes too.

DH slept in the spare room last night so he could resettle K when she first woke up and I wouldn't be disturbed. He gave up after an hour and a half and got me! At least I got a bit of extra sleep.

Anyone else still got no signs of teeth?

Grrr, was a bit late putting the washing on and it's going to be finished about 10 minutes after we have to leave for the doctors. What a pain. I think we're expecting some rain this afternoon too.

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY CHARLI AND ASHA
i was out this morning shopping and asha was grizzling coz it was almost time for her feed and i was about to leave for home.. all i had was some bananas so i broke off a chunck and gave it to her lol she didnt like the texture.. didnt wanna hold it funny girl.. though she was more than happy to eat it when i put small pieces in her mouth or held it up to her mouth cheeky girl!!
lost 0.9 on the scales today lol couldnt bloody believe it!! especially with easter and everything else wooohooo 57.9 now hehe
so the new story from the real estate is that the applications have gone to the landlord and they are waiting for him to get back to them god... looking at another house this avo which is more within our price range.. in other words its crap lol home is what u make it i suppose... there is always a chance we will get the first one we applied for but considering we have been waiting so long and i am pretty sure our references havnt been rung i dnt think its gonna happen ughhh i hate house hunting!!!!!
cally - asha is on and off sometimes the red cheeks start and she starts grizzling and chewing but when i look in her mouth theres no sign of anything lol
MD - the easter bunny only bought asha an egg cup with a little egg in it, good thing too because she also got a bunnykins mug with giant egg, a teddy bear with rabbit ears that had 4 eggs, a book, a tshirt and socks and a giant cadbury egg lol spoilt!!
arte - glad u had a nice holiday and the infant led weaining is going well
renee - ahahaha curse u working at a real estate agent hahaha.. wow overnight ur so brave! i havnt left asha for more than 20mins with someone other than dp.. damn at forgetting ur id thats something i would do!!
sherie - yeah its sooo annoying!! i mean if ur not gonna call back dont tell me you are!! wow teethies, glad he wasnt too cranky!!
haley - whats maddie been eating?? what vegies do u mash for her? sure is messy!!!

Art - Im glad you had a great holiday. Will is the little charmer isnt he!! You inspired me to give Rory a bit of pear this morning. Although he didnt like it, i felt brave enough to start giving him finger food. xx

Ive lost 3 kg all together, another 5kg to go (7kg would be nice).

im off for a nanna nap. Im exhausted even though Rory has been sleeping through again after being sick. Isnt it crazy, sometimes the more sleep I have the more tired I feel! arghhh cant win!

Hi Everyone, it's been a busy couple of days for me!

happy half birthday to Asha & Charli. Wow where has this last 6 months gone???

I've been giving Charli just a little farex mid morning. She has slept okay the last couple of nights thank goodness.
Noni, Charli still has 5 bottles most days - 200ml each. She is such a spewy baby so we've just started her on a thickened formula. So far so good Now that we have started her on farex I'm going to try and wean her down to 4 bottles per day and try to encourage her to drink a bit more water.

Oh MD, pitty about the portacot not sending E into a blissful sleep. you get a much needed good nights sleep tonight

charlismumma - asha is a real spewer too we are on our third formula because of reflux and projectile spewing lol.. but is charli a happy spewer? asha still spews alot too but she dosnt really care about it iykwim? where as before he was really unhappy and in pain.. if charli isnt in pain i would advise against using a thickened formula because my gp told me they will eventually cause some really awful constipation.. also dnt worry about weaning her down she will drink less when she needs less.. farax isnt where shes getting any of her nutritional needs from milk is the source of that for the first 12mths so if shes still drinking it then id say let her... we are introducing water with solids too and asha is enjoying banging her sippy cup on the high chair lol idk how much of it she drinks haha but she'll get there just take it all one step at a time charli will let u know what she needs oh and i hope it dosnt sound like i am having a go coz i know if someone said that to me i would be a bit taken a back u know.. just telling u what ive heard and experience and am very happy for u to take it on or not oki how was charlis half birthday? did u do anything for it? we didnt lol slack i cant believe 6mths is gone already either!!
katie - was great meeting u and logan.. absolutely would be up for it anytime ur in sydney!!

OMG Maddie is 6 mths tomorrow, my baby is growing too fast!!!!

Noni - I've been giving Maddie pumpkin and potato mixed together or sweet potato at tea time. S/potato is her fave so far. Rafferty's multigrain cereal in the mornings and a piece of fruit here and there in the mesh bag. I've also told daycare to start giving her vege mash. Noni I deal with real estate agents at work and yes they are hopeless with returning calls its ridiculous. Hope you get a house soon.

Cally - We had signs of teeth ages ago, a white bit came through but has dissapeared. Apart from that Maddie is still all gum as well! How did the needles go?

Sherie - Alister is powering along!!

Marydean - Oh no bummer about the portacot, hope you are getting some sleep tonight!

HAPPY 6 MONTHS TODAY TO MADDIE!

Noni, no offence taken Charli has actually had acid reflux. We had a really hard time with her until it was finally diagnosed by her paed at 12 weeks. She was put on a couple of different types of medications but in the end we found that good old Mylanta worked the best. She is still very spewy but she is not in pain from it so much anymore.
The thickened formula actually has the opposite effect on Charli. When we first tried it at 6 weeks she got the runs. I thought that now that she's older it might not affect her that way anymore but it looks like it still is a bit it is a pitty because the thickened formula really does work with stopping the spewing.

We are off to get Charli's 6 month injections today so I'm gonna have a grumpy bubba on my hands for the next day or so.

Hello all! just a quickie from me, we crossed the final frontier today and started solids! I won't say that he loved it, but he was happy enough to eat it (plain old rice cereal) and didn't spit it out at all.

hi everyone! long time no see.... ha ha!!!
back from noosa we had SUCH a wonderful time - it is so baby friendly and it really felt like a proper holiday... GREAT!!! have had a quick read and looks like all is well with you guys which is great!
i have just bought some formula - not going to totally wean but i see that i need to do a feed or 2 a day formula while he is in care - it just isnt going to work otherwise, i cant express enough for all day at creche... ia m pleased to have exclusively bfed to now and i hope i can continue 2 feeds a day (more when poss, like on non work days).... a bit sad about it (i wonder if i will go through with it). Did i mention that he had been v bad at taking bottle? i got some tommee tipee close to nature and so far so good! solids going well - he wolfs it down.. and the last 2 days has had 3 small small meals a day! he is majorly teething, i hope they come thru this time.
anyway, sorry no personals - too much to catch up on.. will keep up now!

ETA - one thing i had to comment on Renee - i WISH forgetting my ID was a prob for me!!!! Not an issue for this old bag!!! ha ha!!!

Needles went well, it was flu shot day and she charmed all the oldies with her smiles! She was wearing green top with pink flowers and pink striped leggings - 3 people asked if she was a boy!!

Pregpan - glad you had a good holiday, is Noah sleeping better for you? Did you go to Pinky's talk today?

K is down for her arvo nap, might go and have a lie down too - had a bad headache last night and don't want another one tonight because DH will be home late.
