YES!! I am over saying 'no pulling mummy's hair, it hurts'. And she pinches. And she occasionally lunges for your nose and bites it!! It used to be funny before those teeth popped through!! The hair pulling is also worse when she tired or upset and it's hard not to get frustrated with her when I'm trying to calm her down.

Gracie - well done, will have to let us know when the pictures appear.

MD - telescopic arms are definitely in this household. I think things are out of reach when she's in the bebepod but somehow she grabs them.

She's started moving a bit, I put her on her tummy today, left the room for a short while and she had ended up on her back, 180 degrees spin on her tummy, under the coffee table. She was just lying there, looking at the 'Made in Taiwan' sticker!!

Hayley - didn't end up with sweet potato, remembered how long it had been in the pantry for! She had some avocado instead, I put it in a mesh bag and she was much more interested in the plastic handle! Will give the cereal a few more goes and then might just go straight to finger food stuff.

Gracie - glad you had a nice day with DP home.

K didn't want her afternoon nap so we ended up going for a walk and she didn't fall asleep until about 6 in the pram. She'd been up for hours so needed something, hopefully she's not up for hours! DH and I both need some sleep.

Can hear shrieking coming from 'quiet storytime' in the bedroom so better go and investigate what is so exciting!

Hello everyone. haven't been on for a few days. There have been a lot of posts to read

hayley, Ive found another working mummy on this thread! How many days a week do you work? I work 3 full days. It's not too bad as the days go fast but so do the 4days that I have off with bubba Charli hasn;t gone for my hair yet but she does like grabbing my face and my neck, and sometimes it really hurts!

Gracie, you could always try giving Lewis a little warm boiled water with half a teaspoon of brown sugar in it to see if that helps him with no. 2's. Thats what the hospital had recommended to us!

Arte, that's no good about your neighbours. Not sure what I would do either. If you see them doing stuff like that often though, I would seriously consider reporting them.

Trillian, cool new name Are any of us able to change our names? I'm thinking changing mine, especially as I wont always be just Charli's mumma

MD, are you glad to be home and have the comfort of your own bed again? Sounds like a good time to put E in her own room. It won't be too bad for you! Especially seeing as her room is so close. We actually decided to put Charli in her own room on the second night after we came home from hospital. we just could'nt fall asleep with her in our room and her room is right next to ours so I always heard her as soon as she cried.daddy never did though selective hearing perhaps!)

Noni, thats lovely that you have offered to look after that little boy! Boy Asha is really loving the solids isn't she? Sounds like she's going to be one of these kids that will eat everything!

Renee, GO Rory! What a cleaver little boy! Miss Charli hasn't said a word yet but she makes lots of noises. grunting when she's not impressed is one of the latest. She also loves blowing raspberries, it's sooo cute

Hello to everyone else and also hi to those I haven't met before.

Gracie yay on the win, I totally agree with Hayley......you are so model material. You will def have to let us know where we can see the pics once they are done. RE the solids Logan took a few days to poo after we started, I think it is just their gut adjusting. He now poo's almost every nappy (could be teeth though). Oh and boy are they smelly now its real food.

Cally lol at K looking at the made in Taiwan sticker. Ouch at the nose biting. Logan pulls hair when he is tired too.

Hayley I had to laugh when you said got to keep it short but it ended up a very decent length. We are trying Brocolli this week too.

Leanne did you get some photos of the boys covered in chocolate?

Noni thats so nice of you offering to look after your friends little one. I think you should have a look into FDC. I quit my job and got all the info etc and started getting everything organised then found out I was pregnant so I decided to wait. DH and I have been talking about me starting it soon though.

Renee your so lucky to have Rory saying mum, I cant wait till L can say it ( I would even be happy with dad lol)

MD how did you go with the animals? Good luck with getting E into the cot.

I bought up big at the farmers markets this weekend so I have a fridge full of food to freeze for Logan. Better go and start cutting up all the fruit and veg.

    morning all!
WOW gracie - well done, I am so happy for you and cant wait to see the pics!! Good on you! The fire sounds lovely and your DP sounds wonderful... lucky you!
CMumma - I will also be a working mum soon - maybe this week!!! If I do the local job I start (travel to Melb) onThursday... so frustrating my job thing is still up in the air... anyway I guess the trut is I will either be 3-4 days per week at the end of this week (EEK!!!!!!!) or full time from later in themonth if i go with the other one so we can share the ups and downs together.
My DH is discussing working 4 days per week with his work today, so hope that happens - it would be great! I have to call FDC today to comfirm we will go ahead withthe lady I met last week, so that is great relief! I would also like to chg my name as I am no longer preg!!! ha ha!!!
Must admit to you all, I am a little scared that maybe i AM preg... dont think so really but i do have this unexplained flu like symptoms which I had last time - fatigue that comes on all of a sudden, achey bod etc (and nothing else) - this is what happened with me last time. *****!!!!!!!!! off to get a test today, i think it is REALLY a remote poss but man that woudl throw a spanner in the works!
Can I do a little woooooooo hoooooooooooo here??? we now seem to have Noah on 3 day sleeps a day... they are only 40 mins but i must say compared to 2 weeks ago when he had no sleeps i feel like we have come along well. so i am feeling happy with that.
His teeth are coming along - 1 is through but teeeeny weeeny and one the gum is split but no sharp bit yet. he has been rpetty good through it so far, up in the night screaming but we have only had to do max one dose of nurofen each night for the last 3 nights (none before that, i am so loathed to give himstuff), no bonjella (i hate it) - i have been using a weleda powder which is good. in the day he is clingy and a bit whingey and less laughing etc but generally good. TheFDC lady told me vegemite works well for sore gums, i did give him some toast w vegemite on it and he licked itall off - cute.. and it did seem to ease the pain a bit so that could be a tip for some of you??
BTW how do you intro toast fingers (for example) or other large bits of solids? do you let them gum off bits and just watch that they gum them down? i am nervous about it but i think N is ready. DH is V nervous about it but we can see N is ready.
I am mixing his food up a bit as he loves eating so much... for bfast this moring i made up a tiny bit of porridge (just used normal oats with some formula) and stirred his fruit through it - went down ok. should i be buying baby cereals or is this ok? he loves all fruit - pureed nectarines and peaches are the current faves! I am also interested in Hayley's q re weetbix, he eyes ours off all the time so i would love to give it to him (i think there are kids weetbix???). so i hope someone knows if this is ok at this age?
Renee - soexciting rory's chatting!!!!!!!!!! and saying mum - well done! how gorgeous! i cant wait til N can talk!
Noni - did the friend get back to you? any news on the house?
ok gotta go, hope you are all having a good day

Haley and pregpan, I think weet-bix are fine to give them. I think Leemar gives Olivia Weet-bix for breakfast.

Pregpan, hope your test comes out the way you want it. Congrats on your day sleeps too. If you just give him the toast he will gum it. He may gag a little at the start but that is ok, it stops them swallowing big bits they can choke on.

Gracie, well done on the new modeling career! Can't wait to see some pics.

Went to the new mothers group today, it was way better. The people are all friendly and about 3 other mums started today. One of them was a girl I went to high school with but she was a year below me and she was sporty and I was nerdy so we didn't really know each other.

Gracie - we started K on solids on Saturday too and haven't had a poo yet either. I'm not sure much of the solids has actually gone down her throat though. She's usually pretty regular, we haven't gone more than 2 and a bit days before. I'm not too worried about it though, she is still farting away!

Pregpan - good luck with finding out about work. That's great that you were happy with the FDC lady, is she close to where you are? That would be great if DH could have a day off with Noah each week too. Good luck with your test. And well done on the 3 day sleeps. How are the night times going?

Arte - glad that the new mothers group went well.

MD - How did you go with E in the next room?

Cally - the nights are not great, they havent been since about xmas time... after i had such a super sleeper to begin with! he has 2 feeds (sometimes 1) through the night. i have moved his bedtime back a little which makes no real diff to this but i figure he gets a little more sleep. His day sleeps are only 45 mins eac - if anyone has any ideas how to lengthen these let me know (although i am happy to live with it if it is just how he is) how is K going w the sleeping? The FDC lady is in my suburb which is great - about a 5 min walk away. I am meeting her at playgroup tomorrow (where she takes the kids each wed) to fill in forms etc. she is really lovely, grandmotherly and flexible which i love. so i hope that works out well. DH should know today if the 4 day thing is OK, i hope so i think it will be great fr Noah and for DH.
Arte - really glad the mums group went well. Thanks also for the toast info, i thought that was the case but i needed some reasurance. i will give him some at lunch time. he already chews if we give him something lumpy (well gums) so i think he is def ready!
MD - how did you go with E in the other room? Hope it all went well.
