Noni - LOL at that ad, I remember it too! My current all time fave (not funny) is the nurofen ad with all the babies flying around with their fairy wings on. Aaaaaaaw! Thanks for the Weleda cream recommendation, E has popped a nappy rash the last week, poor thing, my usual tricks aren't working. I will get some of the cream when I FINALLY remember to get the teething powder (as predicted last week I forgot)!

cally -. well as long as you were ok with him saying it thats the main thing. i am not sure about having another baby either sometimes i want to sometimes i dont its hard!! its not on the cards for a while atleast yet!! the cream, its for both adults and children good for any type of rash it says (it does specifically say nappy rash on the packet too though)

hello everyone

just took lewis up to my work for a farewell morning tea for a friend who's going on maternity leave. he was a bit crabby (top teeth are just poking through the skin), poor little man, but everyone thought he was a spunk! was kind of weird being back at work, i didn't feel like i belonged there at all. let's just say i'm in no rush to get back LOL

md- the vacuum smell....mmmm...well, the dyson does have a smell but i can't quite put my finger on what it is yet. it's kind of a hot smell if that makes sense?? but it's def not dusty. i have asthma so i'm really conscious of that. trust me..the dyson is amazing....it's changed my life LOL

cally - just go with the flow and see how you feel later on, it's a massive adjustment being a mum. i have no social life now

as for the ttc the next one thing...well i wasn't going to say anything but seeing as how it's been brought up.........well.......
we're not 'trying' as such but we're not 'avoiding' it either iykwim???
let's just say we're not dtd very often but when we do, the only contraception we're using is breastfeeding. we're just kind of in the mindset 'if it happens,it happens'.

i would love a dd but my good friend who is a VCE biology teacher told me that none of those gender selection methods make any difference. does anyone know anything abvout this or used them themselves??

so much for a goo start to the day asha screamed all the way through me making my lunch and then proceeded to pull it off the table when i had made it smashing the plate burning my arm and putting pasta everywhere not happy!!! i am so annoyed i dont even want to eat now that she is asleep grrr...
gracie - eeep thats exciting and scary lol.. dp and i dnt dtd much either and (tmi) he wanted to without contraception last time lol but i wasnt so keen not because he wanted another baby though i dnt think i thik i am more realistic lol... no idea about the gender methods i would have thought it was more down to genes etc than when you do it and what you eat iykwim?

Gracie, my sis used the method to get a girl and did, but my friend used the method to get a girl and had their third son . I think between them they tried every method on earth but based on these stats it's still 50/50 as to whether it works LOL! Well how exciting, that's all I can say.

Noni, not fun at your house today. Lucky Asha didn't get burned, though. Is your arm ok? LOL at DP wanting to go no contraception, my DH did too - hasn't had his post-V swimmers checked yet - I got quite cranky with him, I mean what's the point of telling me no more babies if he's gonna chance it at the last possible moment. Just proving that men live in a little universe all of their own when it comes to Making Whahooty. I still feel sad about having no more bubbas.

Oh no Noni! is it bad on your arm? I have a tiny little burn on my thumb - I was cooking dinner for DH to take to work tonight and a little bit of hot oil splashed on it and by crikey it stings. I remember that ad too! I used to LMAO at it.

Gracie, I reckon in general the gender selection things aren't worth bothering with, but when we tried for Alister we did use shettles to conceive a boy because we thoguht it was worth a shot kwim? If it didn't work out so be it, but if it did then great, but I think it was coincidence anyway. but when we fell pg with the girls we DTD on the appearance of ewcm, but I have since worked out that I O a few days after ewcm - so maybe shettles has worked for us?

Marydean, I think you need to jump ahead a week in your mind and bring your anniversary forward by one week and celebrate it then - I know it wont be the same, but it would be unfair to have to miss out again this year.

Cally, maybe you could just take a 'never say never' approach to having another baby. You wont always be 'banshee wife' (and I mean that in the nicest possible way ) and when Katie is bigger things will be different. Don't forget that hormones are still all over the place too.

Pregpan, that's great Noah is 100% back to normal. Alister today has been inhaling food practically, so the gum pain must be finally gone. Fingers crossed he doesn't get sick again for you for a long time.

Alister's egg has gone and his bruise is a lovely yellowy-brown now, but he's gone and gotten one on the other side now (not the egg just a bruise) because he was standing up at the back door and it came open and he fell over. People are going to start to think I bash him LOL. he's started this thing where if I stand still for too long he pulls himself up on my legs and wont let go - if I start walking off he will keep hanging on and walk along with me, sooking because he wants to be picked up. He's also cruising the furniture pretty good now, but Im still hoping he is a long way off walking yet though.

ETA - Marydean, DH hasn't had his SA done yet either - it was supposed to be after 20 ejaculations or 3mths - well both have come and gone and he hasn't done it and I'm sick of having to use protection when we may not have to kwim? He said he wants to give it more time to make sure there is none because he doesn't want the hassle of having to redo the test if there are still swimmers.

LOL Sounds like Men's Logic to me. I sent DH to get his SA done on Sat - apparently he'll get his results today or tomorrow. Uh Oh, better batten the hatches LOL!

Hi Girls!!!!!!! Wowsers it's been awhile! We got back from brisbane yesterday afternoon...frikkin qantas lost my pram! well actually they forgot to put it on the plane. luckily it wasnt the bugaboo. i bought one of those quicksmart strollers for the trip. so at almost 10pm that night the guy comes around with it, phew!

i havent had time to read through all the posts... except WAY TO GO Gracie!! LOL! that's the spirit! hmmm baby girl making tips...well it involved loads of champagne and a long weekend!! LOL (sorry TMI!!).

Sherie: you have no idea how nice it is to hear that our hormones are still crazy!! everyone expects us to be 'normal' now that leila is heading towards the 9 month mark, but honestly, i am still all over the place and just like Cally, i cry at the most ridiculous things...also, i am very vague, but mum tells me this never goes away!! LOL

MD and Cally: yep the divet on my couch is getting more pronounced each night!! LOL! oh how i look forward to the evenings to ourselves!! even if it is just to watch home and away...although i have just bought the dvd series 'weeds' so no doubt that will be our winter viewing...

anyway had best dash and prepare dinner for leila. went shopping and bought meat (MACH nurse told me that she needs to eat more meat to boost her weight...egad. we rarely eat the stuff, so should be interesting!!).

Gracie, we are the same I guess, we haven't talked about it but we haven't used any contraception since W was born. I guess we will reassess when AF comes back.

We went over to the neighbours - the wife and daughter have arrived now. They seem very nice, W and the girl were so cute together. She is just turned 1 but very petite so they are about the same size. She kept trying to pat him, it was adorable.
