Hi ladies, sorry for my selfish vent post yesterday! I felt much better after getting my frustration out! I had a day to myself today, which was good. I just woke from a nap with my little man and I think we're about to venture out for our first trip to do the food shopping!

Bubba - Yep I have my X on formula - he's on Nan Gold. My sister and a couple of girlfriends advised me to steer clear of s26 because they found it constipated their bub's. They all suggested Caricare funnily enough. But thanks for the suggestion . X seems to be going along good now, I don't think his reflux is to do with the formula, more likely the little piggy tries to gulp down his feeds! lol.
Woohoo for the weight loss! I have dropped 8kgs since my CS - which I was amazed at, considering X was small! So only 5kgs to go for me to get back to pre-baby weight .

Ebn - How are things with your little boy now? Seeing them in pain would be heartbreaking! I bawled when they did the heel ***** test and little Xman got so distraught!

Hotaru -
Mc_hope - our strategy last night was (on the combined advice of our neighbours) to chock one end of the basinette up so it's not totally flat and we put a heated up wheat bag in where J will sleep to pre warm it so he doesn't notice the difference between our body temps and the basinette. Not sure where that fits in terms of being the right thing to do but it seems to work at nights for the moment. Days are totally different!
Thanks lovely, I chocked one end of the bassinet up tuesday night and Im not sure if that made a difference or if his reflux settled as he seemed to keep all feeds down, yay. Thats a good tip about heating his little bed area up before putting him there, I might just try it!
How did the newborn photos go?!

Dory - the restriction towards Hb would be hard! I missed being able to have snuggles or pick up my little nephew, let alone it being my own kid! Hugs to you xx How is Miss G, has the nights settled at all for you yet?

AFM, settling into this mummy thing quite well I think X has his first visit from the community care nurse tomorrow and will be weighed! I am curious to see what the little piggy has put on, his feeds have been increasing slowly. Night times are getting better, I took the advice (I think it was from BR) about light being day and dark being night. So now at bedtime I try and keep the lights off for feeds and nappy changes. I think its helped as X slept for 3.5hrs between feeds last night!
The MIL is only here til Sunday, so I just have to keep reminding myself of that when I get frustrated. I know she's only here for a week and she won't hardly see him as she lives interstate, its just hard as she's one of those "I used to" "you should" kind of people. And to top it off, I haven't really had much to do with her before bub was here so there wasn't any real pre-existing relationship/friendship IYKWIM. Maybe in time it will get better...
