Naomi – What a good boy Bailey was for sleeping so you and hubby could have some treasured time for yourselves. You must be looking forward to your holiday! I’m trying to look for a good deal for a little holiday to the snow for a week maybe July on August. It’s just hard getting away when we have a farm! When Danny gets home from work next Wednesday, it’s time for seeding – so I’ll be a widow to the farm again, but I think he’ll definitely deserve a holiday from all his hard work. Dan is keen to try again for another baby at the end of the year (I am too, but we’ll see yet) and I’ve told him before I grant him another child, he has to take me overseas on another holiday. I think that’s fair! LOL!

Raindrops – So glad you haven’t had the blues – I could be wrong, but I think ‘the blues’ is when you cry for no reason isn’t it?? Hope your painfree soon and that you can sleep on your tummy even sooner. I do miss being pregnant! As much as I am enjoying these two gorgeous girls – I feel like my pregnancy was taken from me a little too soon. With Rochelle, I was well and truly over it! Sorry to hear Q has been a little difficult When was/is he 2? I think the MCHN visits are more for the first timers? I had one with Ro, she visted for 2 weeks I think… None this time. Except I go to my are MCHN who is at the community centre every couple of weeks just have Brooklyn weighed and what not.

Niadla – Fabulous not having any blues huh! I was expecting it too, but two times lucky so far. What sort of car did you get?? My husband said after I had the baby (didn’t want my waters breaking in the new car) he’d replace my car with a new landrover… There is just so much happening though so I haven’t got on his case about it yet… that reminds me! It’s not too stressful, I just do it when the girls are asleep and I’m pretty fortunate because Ro still sleeps for 4 (sometimes a bit more) hours per day and then 7 till 7 and Brooky has been going down at 7 too (sometimes a little later if I put Ro to bed first) and has been sleeping till anywhere between 1 to 4am and then I wake her back up at 7am. I’m just working on getting all the room sizes right at the moment! It’s all exciting at your household at the moment… Goodluck with the new car!!!

Jess – Maybe try a vinegar and bi carb soda mixture to get the zinc cream out of the carpet… might help break down the greasyness. Glad the studies are coming along nicely!

Bella – It’s great to hear your in high spirits and things are going well with your care atleast. I hope that little girl decides to come out and meet her Mummy and Daddy real soon. I have been thinking of you!

Amy, I am so sorry that things are a bit hard for you at the moment… maybe I’m not having the same trouble with Rochelle because she’s a bit younger? When we decided to have another so soon, we thought it would probably be hard and we said to eachother that even if it was hard – it’s really only for a short while in the scheme of things and the amount of joy they bring, it’s absolutely worth it. So maybe hold on to the thought that it won’t be this hard for long. I’m sure you’ll find a groove soon and make it all run so smoothly. In regards to routine… with our routine, I just encourage her to feed during the day so she takes her longer sleeps during the night iykwim. I know some mothers are feeding all night but have babies that have long sleeps during the day – so I made sure to encourage it so she learns night from day. Her feed times are 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. I’m supposed to dreamfeed her at 10.30ish (which I did with Rochelle) but I just let that one fly with Brooklyn and feed her when she wants over night, which has only been once between 1 and 4… I still have to wake her for 7am and feed… actually most of her feed I have to wake her for. I probably do other small things differently than a non routiner too – like lighting and I stipulate activities during the day… Like after our 10am feed, she has atleast 3 minutes of tummy time and some nappy off time in the sun room of our house. In the afternoons I take both girls for a walk outside – Brooklyn’s eyes go crazy being outside (I think the stimulation) and she enjoys the sling. Otherwise at this stage we just cuddle and Rochelle and I sing songs - it’s more of an activity I do with Rochelle, but Brooklyn lays besides us contently or I prop her up on my lap. I do make a major effort to make Rochelle apart of things when I’m doing something with Brooklyn though. I keep her busy by getting me nappies or putting nappies in the bin, asking her to sing to Brooklyn or asking her to show me where specific body parts are on Brooklyn (which he just loves). I constantly talk to Rochelle when I’m feeding Brooklyn, like going over animal sounds, singing etc. Yesterday we were out clothes shopping and while we were in Myer it was Brooklyn’ feed time, so we went into the parents room and Rochelle was happy to just sit in the pram while I fed and we just kept on going over animal sounds, once I had exhausted that activity – I gave her her waterbottle that has a little cavity for snacks that I put sultanas and bits n pieces in which keeps her amused for ages so I was able to change Brooklyn etc. I’ve also enrolled Rochelle into next terms kindermusik! I thought it would be something exciting for Rochelle and a bit more quality time for her. Hopefully Brooklyn will sleep on the side of the room, otherwise they said it’s no problem for me to sling her! Danny will come every second week and we can both do It with her. I think you’ll be fine once DH goes back to work… Danny is away for 7 days at a time and to be honest, I find it just as easy with him gone because we find our groove. You’ll probably find that you will get yourself into a routine (housework and dealing with both girls) with DH gone, and it will be even smoother. We’re all here if you ever need a chat! Oh and my slow cooker is my best friend at the mo – trying to do dinner and get two ready for bed etc on my own isn’t the easiest otherwise. Lol.

BG – Emerald sounds like she is doing great which is wonderful to hear! Your welcome to tell me to butt out, but I just thought I would mention to be careful of limiting how much she has as your supply isn’t established yet and babies can vomit/posset just from having a wind bubble. I take Brooklyn off my breast 3 times during a feed and my let down is quite fast so I hear her swallowing quite a lot of air… I take her off pretty soon to burp her because the beginning of the feed is so fast and she even has vom at that burping session and she still has another 20 or so minutes feeding after that. I remember being freaked out when Ro first did one of those spews, but I think I just didn’t realise that’s what they did. I remember never being able to leave the house in clothes that didn’t have vomit on them. Lol.

Everything is going beautifully here with us. I’m just so inlove with life right now it’s brilliant! Both girls are asleep again (I typed a bit of this while Brooky was on the boob and had to come back to it.) and after I put Ro down at 9am for her morning nap, I baked choc chip cookies! Slow cooker is on, dishes are done, load of washing is on – can bludge for the rest of the day now. Although I do have to pop in to the nearest town to bank a cheque. I forgot to do it yesterday while we were in Toowoomba – went in to pay some hospital bills (from having my uterus scrapped) and shop for some warmer clothes to breastfeed in. Picked up a gorgeous outfit for each of the girls from Myer (love peter rabbit) and even managed a pair of shoes for myself. Very spoilt! In the afternoon, we sat down in a caf? while Brooklyn slept in the pram Rochellee enjoyed a baby cino and I a latte. Rochelle was so cute copying me sipping her baby cino leaving her with a big frothy milk moustache! Such a beautiful Mummy and Daughter moment. We shared some scrummy dutch poffiteroles too! Well I’m going to go and blow dry my hair quickly before Miss Rochelle wakes up for lunch. Hope everyone is fabulous!!

P.S. With the new laws that children have to be in a carseat till age 7 – how are you meant to fit 3 car seats in the back seat of a car? We have a nice big land cruiser which is a 7 seater, but I don’t think you can put a car seat in the very back seats and I don’t know how I’d be able to reach to put a child in the middle car seat if we had them all in the back seat. I know the landrover has airbag suspension so when the car is in park it lowers down so it’s easier to load things in, but I’m still not sure if I’d be able to reach… any ideas?
