I would want to know too Amy. I think because DH and I are medical backgrounds we would do a bit of research. Aso getting a blood test isn't as bad as you may think. Having said that if you can wait till she is in hospital again it may give you more peace with your decision. It also would depend on whether you think with the info you have their could be any negative consequences from not finding out. Ie could she get really sick without treatment etc?

Krystie, I am not a big fan of the whole earrings on little girls thing myself. I think it looks tacky, but that is purely a personal bias and I have friends who have done it and it is just not discussed because you know what, it is nobodies business but yours. Now that I think of it I think it is because it was a little bit of a rite of passage for me and my sister as young women. You had to be grown up enough to be allowed to have your ears pierced and wear grown up things like earrings. I think that may be why I find it a little off putting, because I associate it with dressing little girls up to be too old. I don't know if that is a fair perception, but sitting here when I examine my thoughts on the subject I think that may be why. End of the day babe, it is completely up to you, and like Amy I would never criticise.

AFM- well and truly struggling with morning sickness. Not coping terribly well. DH is great for helping out but I could punch him sometimes cos he likes to remind me that he remembered how sick I was whereas I think I blocked it all out to a certain degree. Between the regular vomiting and the fatigue throw in the hormonal surges and I am a bit of a mess Never mind. It is what I wanted and I will just have to suck it up!
