Shell- I've been editing it for a while. I've written two others books, working on a third and poking around with handful of short stories. I'm hoping to send out query letters within the next few months. I'm actually a bit nervous about the query letters - they are so tricky.

Had a few tantrums - Alex hunches himself over on the floor, hiding his head, but he's generally pretty good.

    Hugs to everyone.

Hi girls, Sorry I havent posted in a while. I do keep up with everything on FB and read in here as well but always forget to post.

Det- so sorry to hear about your friend.
Kaz- Hope everythingwith DP is still looking good. I think you two/three need a holiday now after a very hard year in 2010.

I go back to work FT tomorrow. Had a break down about it last night to DF and he was so comforting to me and I am okay now. I am excited about starting the year with a new bunch of kids and having my own class but I am going to miss my baby girl so much.

Anyway better get to sleep. But hope you and all the almost 2 year olds are doing well.

I can't believe it's been two years. It's flown by.

Ali, sorry to hear you have to go back to work fulltime. That sucks.

AFU - not much new here... Alex is enjoying the creche at the gym.. I've put his name down at a couple of childcare centres, but no luck getting him in. I've just accepted the facts and stopped fighting it and moving on with life.

Still editing - will it ever be finished.

Happy second birthdays to our bubbies! Well done mums!! You all rock!!

Det -I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Boof sounds like a very clever little cookie - J can't count to 10 but if DD1 says a number she will say the next one I think you do have the first 2yo birthday - I can't believe they will be 2 in a matter of weeks! It only seems like yesterday that they were born.

    Meg - I would love a catchup!

Ali - I hope you get a great bunch of kids this year to make F/T not too hard for you.

Malyna - Yay on Alex enjoying creche - hopefully a spot will come up somewhere for you soon.

AFU - I am busy preparing DD1 for her first day of Prep on the 7th Feb. She is so excited and she turns 5 at the end of her first week at school. Miss J is also going through the "mine" stage. Everything is "my book, my mummy, my dinner". She is really well mannered though which is so cute - "my dinner please mummy?" "thank you mummy". I bought her a hand puppet the other day and she said "thank you mummy, I love it" - I had a little tear in my eye it was so sweet. I can't believe how fast my baby has grown up

still feeding, just this week ive managed to cut out the prebed feed at night..still feeding after brekky and feeding to sleep at lunch... getting her to sleep at night isnt fun but she is sleeping all night. shes loving swimming again after chrissy break.
cant believe my baby is almost two im very sad tbh but thats life, shes very cute but is going to be my problem child bites etc.....!

was lovely to see nai and cory last sat for lucy's memorial, better circumstaces would have been great but it was lovely all the same

soooo what are you buying for 2nd birthday pressies? im getting a runbike, a muddly ruffles skirt, i already have a tea set for her... theres something else but i cant remember what

Malyna im glad A is liking creche, i assume you're liking gym?
Det im so sorry about your friend
Ali good luck today at school, will be thinking of you today

Det - Sorry to hear of your loss.... *hugs* Glad i'm not the only one with a booby monster still.. There will definitely be an acknowledgement in there for you guys..

Nai - hmmm.. enjoying the gym... I have my days when I think "ugh!" but on the whole, I go because Alex gets to play with the other kids, and some days that's the only motiviation I have to get my butt off the chair, and to stay on the treadmill for an hour.. but I'm starting to get bitten by the exercise bug.

Oh gotta go, Alex has taken off his nappy.... again... sigh! Even though i put them on backwards... Where's the gaffa tape?

    Hi Girls,

I'm doing the Mother's Day Classic to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. My sister-in-law was diagnosed just before Christmas, had a mastectamy (sp?) and is doing chemo. There is a 5km walk or a 5km, 10km run.

I know you're not all in the ACT but I thought it might be a fun way of us getting together, walking/running in our different states. Anyway the website is mothersdayclassic.com.au

    Love ya all!

Ok - Malyna, I'm in for the Melbourne one. I think we can do 4km or 8km so I will see if I can train up for the 8km run!

8km is pushing it for me! Nai I was looking at yr surfing beach pics on FB just yesterday thinking how active you were, was telling myself I should get more motivated and get mu butt doing stuff.

Malyna- waitlists for childcare can take ages, usually after kids go back to school is when there is a big turnover. At least the gym is giving you bit of a break atm.

Det- Im really sorry to hear about your friend, very devastating. Terrible situation.

Ali- How did you go with first day back at work?

I better get myself organised for Emilys birthday, was going to book rotunda at the local park, have BBQ, no mess to clean up then. Not sure on presents tho, thinking nice furniture for her room.

He peoples. hope you are all keeping well. E is now in a bed. It is the cot converted. But she should fit in to it for a while. So far she has been really good about going to bed too, and not trying to get up etc.

I am sure that there are a few of you that must be busy with getting ready for the kids going back ot school.

Happy birthday Boof. I think it must have been about now??!!

Oh wow, it's that time already!

Happy belated birthday boof! Hope you guys had an awesome day Det.

I know DS is the last birthday in here but already we are not planning to do much. There will be presents etc and I will probably make him a cake but it will be little or low fat or something cause I'm just newly back on the weightloss wagon. We're probably not having a party for him though. We go away on holidays the next day so I'm figuring that he gets over a week away at the coast near the beach and there's a pool and there'll be other little boys (3 and 5) to play with/follow around......is that bad? I feel a bit mean but honestly I don't think he'll know one way or the other. We will have a party with my IRL mum's group and we'll catch up with family at some point next month....I dunno, I feel bad but he doesn't really have any mates yet and pretty much all our friends live in far flung places......listen to me making excuses!!

    Hi ladies

    I'm such a bad buddy...

I haven't checked in for aaaages... I'm so sorry!

On the 2nd birthday front... We aren't having a big one either, we will probably have a cake at playgroup with her friends there... Then do something small, just our family. Can't be bothered doing a big one, we're in the process of moving, renovating, urgh!

We won't even have a proper back door. It's on order but won't be here for 5wks and our current "door" is a nailed on bit of wood. So we think no big party for DD!

    Hope everyone is going well!

DD went to Boof's party at Maccas yest - she loved it! Flipping hot though!! Curse you broken air conditioner!!!!!!!!

So funny - the twins call her Boof's girlfriend As we were getting ready to go they said "L, your girlfriend's leaving!!"

    Happy belated birthday boof.

Al is having a thomas party this year.. but it's more of a friend gathering than an actual 'party' thing - like last year where we just put out a table of food and let everyone help themselves... Okay, I'll admit it, I like thomas the tank engine, and the party really is for me, so I get to play with a bunch of other little kids.

Kaz - nothing wrong with not having a party. I didn't have a birthday party until I was 16 - and that was four friends.

OP - LOL they have already been set up by the twins

Kaz - Miss J is just going to the zoo with family and 1 friend, then back to our place for cake so nothing big here either.
