Re the what to do when they are out and about - if we're going somewhere where it would be a massive inconvenience, I will still put her in pull ups - but basically I'm just packing multiple sets of clothes and *lots* of wipes. Come what may. I think just resorting to pull ups everytime it's convenient has been holding us back, eg, when she's in pull ups I'm not so focussed on keeping my eye on her and getting her to toilet every time.

:yeahthat: this is where we're at too. Leila is basically fully dry during the day now. we still have some accidents (wee) if she is excited about something and not concentrating and surprisingly this is only when we are home!
in the road to getting there we have put her in undies first thing in the morning and when we get her dressed for the day ask her to go to the toilet (i didnt ask her if she needed to go as she basically had no idea lol). in her bag for when we went out i packed TWO spare changes of clothes (including socks and shoes...eewww) and if she had an accident i would change her. we also packed a couple of nappies for when/if she got really tired or stressed out about the knickers (usually end of day or coming up to nap-time)...oh and a plastic bag for containment.

there are many a times as well when we have had to find a 'pee tree' (not to be confused with a tee pee ) and have her wee out in the open alfresco style lol. and we just do it, i figure it's like BF in public, ya just gotta do it lol.

Poo accidents?! Man I got of lightly. I thought they just held on until they got home? W has had about 2 in the early days - both happened on the way to the toilet so genuine accident. Except that time he crapped in the wardrobe, but that was total defiance.

W has become a fan of the outside pee. Last week the lady that runs playgroup forgot the key so we all sat outside and he was allowed to pee out the back. Apparently that has given him free rein to go where ever lol

Summer seems to have renewed the bug interest, except the worm farm has been converted to a slug house. They even laid eggs in there last night which is quite cool.
Me: "W, keep the lid on your slug house"
W: "aw mum, I was just offering for you to have a feel of their soft bodies"
lol, no way am I touching those things!

Are the other kids really focused on their age now? It seems that now he is three that being 3 is how he defines himself iykwim? I am always getting "when I were two.." stories about how he wore nappies when he was two, different things we did or toys he had. Quite cute really.

ok, well it looks like i need to get more serious about this whole TT thing....just going to take off his nappy now...
