well DS has had a shocking nappy rash which despite using creams and powders i couldnt get rid of it so i put him in disposables for a couple of days and used copious amounts of sudocream and washed all of his nappies in dettol laundry rinse. put the cloth back on yesterday and i have noticed he is starting to get a red bottom again! anyone got any other suggestions?

could it be a reaction to the inners? are there any nappies that dont do that?

seems to be all nappies at the moment. it clears up with disposables but as soon as i put a cloth one back on it comes back. i always use liners too

Teresa - are you using cloth at night? Both DD's had shocking rash, so I got rid of my nappies with suedecloth inners, and stopped using cloth at night. That has stopped the rashes.

not for the last 3 or 4 days. he only had 2 cloth on yesterday and 2 on today before i put sposies back on. going to keep him sposies for another few days and see how i go. i only have one nappy with suedecloth inner, the rest are either bamboo fitteds or microfleece inners.

Ohh, in other news, I got a gorgeous planetwise wetbag as a gift at work today! Best gift ever - so thoughtful!

Yay! i love their wetbags. What pattern is it? Have recently got one of their wet/dry bags and they are great too. it is good to get a couple of different sizes so you are covered if you are out for the whole day as well as for short trips when you will only 1 or 2 nappy changes.

Harlee gets a bit of nappy rash every few days, but it clears after a few hours when I use boob milk on her bum. I express some in a cup and use a cotton ball on her bum with it. So cheap and very effective!
No use if your not boobie feeding though.

lol stopped boobie feeding when he was 10 weeks old so nothing there!!!
