I dunno what to do about my knees clicking when I excercise! I know it sounds dumb but I have to keep things quiet here at night...and that was quiet 'cept for my KNEES!

Should I keep going through the noise????

Jess you are an amazing person and by been so honest with yourself and US you will succeed With weight loss i think slow and steady wins the race. I too am full of excuses but have been trying really hard to stay motivated. TBH i never thought when i joined this challenge i would take it as serious as i am . The next 2 weeks for me will be a challenge as DH is going to Vietnam BUT on the other hand i look at it as more time for ME once the kids are in bed etc.

Tried to be good with dinner i ordered a 150g fillet steak (the smallest they did) they wouldnt do it with salad so it came with chips. I ate half. I didnt have my usual mushroom sauce, dessert or latte so although i did eat the chips i did resist my other temptations iykwim so its a start.

Big day tomo girls GL everyone but remember even if the scales or tape measure dont show the results you hoped for its not ALL about weight loss it about healthy life style too iykwim. Be kind to yourselves and know you are doing all you can.

Lulu usually clicking is either shortened (through lack of use) tendons sliding over bone or each other or (more likely in knees) tiny pockets of fluid or even air bubbles in the joint moving about. If the clicking is painless then ignore it, tendons stretch, moving fluid or air are harmless, if anything hurts then have a GP or even better, physio, check you out first.

I'm doing ok, began eating better on Sunday (4th) and began my exercise again yesterday (5th). I am concentrating on resistance because my chest is not too impressed with the cold air (was minus 7 here last night!) since my 'flu episode and i live half way up a giant hill and cannot run on the flat in any direction, so i can only run for about 15minutes just now. I am still running, i'm just not really calling those runs "exercise". So last night i did a full body resistance workout with the weights i got for Christmas. It was HARD work but we've set a little lifting room up in the house, and actually i really liked getting into a different space to work out. Tonight i'll be doing upper body only but with higher weights and on Friday lower body only with high weights, then back down for my full-body next monday. I'm just fitting the runs in where i can, TBH even popping to the shop involves pushing DD nearly a mile up a 1:4 hill...

I did a lovely walk through the woods on Saturday with DP and DD. She was thrilled to see icicles and walked so far! Nearly 2km all by herself on rough frozen paths and then she needed a break so i popped her in the meitai to go back. So i was sweating by the time we got back to the car, though again, i wouldn't really call that exercise for me, because i tend to walk a lot anyway. It was so lovely though, we all got in glowy and happy after our little commune with nature. Sadly we celebrated with a cake in the coffee shop after lunch...

I decided to weigh in this morning (so I'm on the same page with you guys...) and I have lost another 300g!!!!

I must be doing something right... That's almost a 1kg since 4 days ago and 2.1kgs since about 6 weeks ago (when I weighed my heaviest)

    Amy, well done!!!!

    I lost 1.4kgs.

I lost 5cms off bust, 4cms off waist and 5cms off hips so it must be working. Any loss is a good one.

Good luck to everyone else today!

Hoody, resisting the temptations is half the battle I find... congrats I say - you still did good!

GL to all with weigh in - I am scared and excited all at the same time - my head knows that overall the numbers aren't the end of the world - but there is one part of my head that refuses to believe that!

Good luck to everybody with the weigh in.

Remember this is your journey, so each result will be different. We are all doing different exercise and all eating different. Any loss is brilliant. The slower you lose, the more chance you have of keeping the weight off. I feel that it is also a change of lifestyle that we are achieving.

I've gone down another 1.6kg in the week. Yay for me. I am now at the weight I was in May 07. Another 1/2 kilo and I will be where I was in June 07. Which was the last time I saw my dietician. 4kg to go to my first goal.

I'm feeling quite satisfied this morning. I took my "before" shots. Something I was really anxious (well terrified) about doing. But they're done and filed away until I reach my goal weight. I need to buy a tape measure today so I can do my measurements - I couldn't find one last night!

Good luck to everyone on weigh-in day today!!

Congrats Amy, mollycat, queenbee on you weight loss . Good luck to everyone with weigh-in today.

I have lost 2kg. I'm proud of that seeing I'm breastfeeding and pregnant. I haven't been feeling the best so I haven't been exercising much, which is something I have to change this week.

Well done Jo, Molly, Amy and tk!!

I went to toilet and weighed myself again. I don't think it was accurate this morning when I first got up.

CM's are a good indication anyways!

Thanks everyone... Its great to have support... I got up this morning and even thou i didnt have the best sleep and its still hot here i thought "just do it already" i got dressed got the pram out and got the kids ready and off we went... DS is a handful so was running amok but we got 45 mins done without too many issues... hoping that we can do this at least 3 times a week... i'd like it to be a daily thing but starting small and building up will give me something to aim for... so we'll try to get in 3 45 min walks in a week for 2 weeks (plus anything else i can get in) then we'll increase it to 4-5 45 min walks... i'd cover more ground alone but with DP not here and on shift work i have to take both kids... will just have to tell DP when he's home if he wants a hot mumma then he needs to watch the kids a bit while i have ME time...

COngrats everyone on the weight and CM losses... and congrats to those who havent lost anything aswell... making the effort will be worth it... i'm of to the GP on friday to speak with him about my goals... he was a HUGE support when i lost weight before the kids (27kgs)

Yay, it sounds like we are all doing pretty well!!

I was suprised about my weigh loss this week. I'm still trying to get my diet sorted out, but I guess the improvements I have made and the exercise have made a difference.

    Good work everybody.

    Hi all,

Rhianon, to you honey. You know, when people make HUGE changes in their eating and exercise regime, they tend to lose ALOT quickly, mostly fluid from water retention and bloating etc. Plus bigger people have more to lose, they they lose more. Have you ever watched the biggest loser? It's not about how much is lost, but the % lost. If you're 150kg, and lose 15kg, you've lost 10%. If you're 100kg, and lose 10kg, you've lost 10%. If you're 50kg, and lost 5kg, you've lost 10%. It's all relative

Hoody... they wouldn't do it with salad How DUMB! Where did you go? I know sizzler don't do salads, because they have the salad bar but anywhere else makes no sense at all!

Feeling very sorry for you girls in the heat wave! It got up to 36 here, thats about it. No way I'd be out in that heat (I doubt I'd even move INSIDE my house PMSL) so to you Amy, well done, thats some keen motivation there!

Did my 40 minutes on the eyetoy, and then some cool down yoga on the wiifit. Had sausages for dinner last night but we had steamed vegies instead of chips, so I was half good. It all fit into my CK intake so all good. Gonna have some boiled eggs and salad for lunch.

Hey, I have trouble getting in all the protein I need (no probs with the carbs though ). Should I look into a protein shake instead of my morning milo?

Lost 0.5g, which I am happy about. A loss is a loss, I've also lost cm's (1cm off waist, 0.5cm off hips, 1.5cm off bust - I'm not 100% sure if my bus counts though as a bfing mumma I tend to fluctuate lol). I'm 60.9kg now. 6.2kg to go. I also lost 1cm off my thighs

    Lets celebrate with celery

Everyone is going great guns, it is awesome to see how much support everyone is ofering to each other.

I had my second PT training session this morning, and I put in my forms to become a member which was a huge step for me. Todays session was a toning session so not so breathless etc- but holy cow my body hurts. I am just pushing through, my trainer old me it will tkae at least 2 weeks for it to stop being so painful, so I just have to get on with it.

I weighed in this morning, I have lost 1.2 kgs and 2 cms of my bust. I am happy with that as my aim was too loose 600gm per week, and anything over that is a bonus.

Well done everyone seems to be doing so well
Mum's bringing over her tape measure today for me to use so I'll get my 1st lot of measurements in. I need to get my old measurements from the gym and see how they compare. I love that my scales have body fat % becuase sometimes when you plateau you are still losing body fat and gaining muscle.

Aimee slept through for the 2nd time ever last night woo hoo, so after her feed at 5am I put her back to bed at 6 and went to the gym, I'll try and do that for the next 2 days while tony is home. I have rejoined weight watchers online as I did it as a teenager and maintained my weight until I fell pregnant with dd1 then used it to lose the baby weight so it works for me and I can keep the weight off (unless I get pregnant lol).

Leasha 500g is great that is the maximum weekly weight loss reccomended while you are breastfeeding so that is what I am aiming for

Good luck with the coming week everyone
