I had a terrible night last night filled with all my favourite comfort foods. Yesterday was a bad day for me and DH wanted to make me feel better. He went to the supermarket and bought me all these yummy treats! I told him, whilst I was gorging on the neopolitan icecream with chocolate topping, to buy me flowers and an apple next time .
haleyscomet - glad i could help LOL. I can't stand diet coke, much prefer coke zero. It seems to be an acquired taste. The best thing is to give it up totally (I can't, but i've tried), although it's one of the first things that goes when I am pg. For some reason can't stand coke or tea and the smell of hot chips gets me. I really need to fall pg, again, it helps me lose weight. For both of my boys, I lost 10kg within the first couple of months and only ever put that weight back on. Don't know what happened later.
I've been trying to go walking of a morning (not very successfully and now the weather is against me). The dog tries to make me feel guilty, she sooks at the door if we don't go. Oh well, the weather is supposed to get better from tomorrow, so back on the wagon.
I really need to lose a little bit more weight. I'm being a bridesmaid for my BIL's wedding next year and would love to look a little "less".
Lea - Well done on 2kg.
Mel - great work - my dietician always said you'll lose fluid first, so once that's out of the way, then off comes the "extras."
Hoping to revive this thread again!!! We seem to go in spurts don't we?
Since my last post I got the news that I have to have a lap (scheduled for 21st) for suspected endometriosis. This answered a LOT of questions! So I went off Mel's diet because I was feeling incredibly sorry for myself () and I was really bad for a couple of weeks but now I am back onto a healthy eating regime. I've been really good - although not as strict as I was on the diet.
My day usually entails..
Breakfast: A bowl of All Bran Honey and Almond (yum) with milk and a multi-vitamin
Snack: 2 rice cakes (thin) with margarine and vegimite
Lunch: Leftovers from dinner OR saladas with vegimite or low fat peanut butter
Snack: An apple or a banana
Dinner: Usually meat with two veggies and a multi-vitamin
So I think I'm still being pretty good but I have had the occasional bowl of icecream with lashings of chocolate sauce!
Once I have recovered from surgery I will really get back into it. I did aim to lose 3.2kg before surgery (bringing me down to 70kg) but it's just not happening!! I'll keep trying until next Friday so I'll keep you all updated. I must say - the multi-vitamin is making me feel SOOO much better!!
I've lost about 6kg so far - been bad a few nights here and there and got maccas and paid for it on the toilet that night - grosssss!!!! LOL
So I'm still on it - and about to add more meals to the plan so I can have a fortnight menu instead of a week. I just have to find the time to create more meals!!!!!!
Have you tried those "Skinny Cow" ice creams? MMmmMMMmmm tasty tasty!!! And only 80 calories
You girls are all doing so well.

Well, I jumped on the scales this morning and have lost 3.1 kilo's. Sadly it's only because I've just had the worst 24 hour stomach virus ever so I'm sure it'll be back on in no time
