A cup of herbal tea after dinner can help with the second dinner/dessert cravings.

    Hi

I've been reading along here for a few days and thought I'd start posting.

I am eating Lite N Easy as a weight loss method. I've been doing it for a week and a half and have lost about 3 kg - out of a total 15 that I want to lose.

You are all a great inspiration!

Welcome time4myself! Well done on the 3kg loss

Ryatha - I often have low fat youghurt with fresh strawberries or raspberries as dessert. Berries taste like treat food to me so it's nice. If you really need something try the WW chocolate ice-cream. It's like frozen chocolate mousse and hits the spot.

Hi time4myself - I just joined as well!

krysalyss - herbal tea sounds good, I like peppermint, I assume it is ok when bfing.

Nai - the berries sound good - it reminds me that I have some frozen berris in the freezer I can eat with the yogurt. But I might have to try that WW icecream, it sounds fantastic!

Ammaki - at least you did the wii - I didn't even do that!

But i did manage to avoid the sweet food at bed time and not snack! Today is taking it easy, on Dr's orders to help my milk, but should be good to go tomorrow... feeling positive

Hello everyone i was wondering if i could join all you amazing inspirational people in loosing weight and motivating one another through becoming more healthy

i have 10kg to loose am finding it hard to loose it as i have a back injury which prevents me from doing much physical activity and because of it am packing on the kilos .. and i am eating because im bored n depresed about my inury but the last few days ive steered clear from most bad foods and have not been snacking to much.. i have also tried going for a walk once a day even if its just a little one.

Im just over my weight im bigger than i was wen i gave birth to my daughter 5 months ago i had only put on 3-4kg..

So know wat i need to know is what else i can do to help shift the weight??

current weight 73(last time i weighed myself) goal weight 63kg !

    welcome emmasn,

It's great in here, I'm a recent newcomer, so you'll find me yabbing away all the time it's great for motivation. The back injury sounds like a real PITA, but you haven't put on that much weight which is good. My DH did his back in March and has put on about 6-7kg so i've seen how hard it is to lose weight & manage a dodgy back - good on you for doing it! I put on about 3kg after the birth of my DS, just through eating bad but i've got rid of that bit (and some more) and it does feel great! So you'll thank yourself for doign this. I've got a prolapse which I find really annoying to manage - can't do anything high impact, and have not been allowed to do much weight work at all either. Plus i have a dietary intolerance which restricts my diet a lot... so I've spent many years using either of the above as excuses to eat stuff. It's taken me a long time to realise that the only person I'm hurting is me.

I've been doing WW online for the first time ever, and I've found it really great. For me it just makes it about the numbers and less about the emotion - just a simple equation which really appeals to me. I haven't always been that vigilant, but even when I'm slacking off, I'm still losing just slowly slowly (mebbe few hundred grams per week)... but all in the right direction. I tried a WW meeting and that didn't work for me, but I know others swear by them. Otherwise, I hear that Calorie King is good & free - but I didn't know if they adjust for breastfeeding so didn't do it. I do reckon that deciding on a system is improtant. Seeing people come & go in the transformation thread, I reckon ppl that had a method seemed to stay on track more? dunno could be wrong. I used to spend years tryign to "eat better" and watching Bigggest losers shows, but never really making progress... this is the best concerted weight loss i've ever had.
Be interested to see what works for others too

Lol should stop the essay now. Jumped on the scales this morning, another 200g down yay!!!! have worked out i'm only 1kg away from a normal BMI! OMG i'm so excited... so gonna be really good for 2 weeks to try and get there!!!

ryatha - pretty sure peppermint is ok when bfing, but don't have tonnes & tonnes of it

Ammaki - sending good vibes your way!!!!!!

Nai - i've gotta check out that icecream, sounds awesome.

Had a different LF yoghurt today, french cheesecake, omg it was yum!
Ok off to do Wii Fit now

    Hi Emmasn!

I am really going well with the WW - I am also BF and have found it easy to manage. I have lost 7.5kg in 8 weeks. I don't think it is that exxy but I am just doing it by myself (as I have done it before and understand what I need to do).

    Hey girls!
I had the best day today - went to the races, wearing a super skinny pink dress that has been sitting in my wardrobe since last year when I lived in Melbs (and was about 8kg heavier) and I haven't been able to wear it, but today I did and it was HOT!
Feel good - it's the inspiration I need to keep going, I think.

emmasn - i think WW online is about $14 a month? I must say, I think it's totally worth the money. Guess it depends on what you've tried before. You could probably do it for a bit, get the hang of it then stop and do it on your own, but I think that would be harder. Plus there was a deal on for a bit where you signed up for 3 months I think... then u could cancel when u wanted. I've done it much slower then Nai, cos I started in Feb & kept falling off the wagon lol... but like the tortoise, I'm getting there - just slowly

    snugglybean - awesome woo hoo!

Well I have a woo hoo as well. I have 4 pairs of casual pants that I had "reclaimed" once I started losing weight. I was getting dressed today and 3 of the 4 are too big now!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Ok be back tomoz at a more sane hour... hope everyone is going well. I'm trying to stay good and not get complacent... still a little further to go yet.
