Ella Im so happy your in We can help each other do this ive started by keeping a food diary just so i can keep track on what im eating and what i should change, maby that might work for you to, and keep a record of your weight and measure your hips waist and bust if you like it can help motivate you when you see your loss there to. The girls might come up with some more tips with what they do too.

I need some good ideas on healthy snacks to have that are filling?

Emma - call around for PT prices. In my area they vary from $55 for a hour to $150 for 45 minutes!!!! And a personal trainer will push you to your boundaries but shouldn't exceed them... and they should be aware of your limitations (injuries) and work within those constraints.

    Emma,
I was seeing a PT she was like $55 a session, but that just proved too expensive for us. I know a girl I met from Belly has started going to pram excercise classes that cost like $5 each. She said its a great work out and really pushed her, so maybe see if there is one in your area...

As for snacks. I really love to have a low fat smoothie. I freeze my bananas so that I don't have to put any ice cream in... then milk bananas and some honey and wamo yummy!!!

Also tuna on 98% fat free premiums fills me up really well, doesn't sound like it would but it does!

    Hi Girls.

So I weighed myself this morning and it said 71.5kg. I'm sure it's probably just the difference in scales but hey I'll take any loss even if it's only .5kg lol!

Welcome Ella, so glad you're joining us! Great idea about the frozen banana smoothie - I think I'll have to try that.

Emma my pt is cheap beacuse I do it with 4 other women. It only costs me $16 per hour lesson. It's a mums and bubs group so you can bring your babies along which is great. Maybe do a google search to see if there's something similiar in your area? The pt modifies the exercises to suit everyones needs - I have arthritis in all my joints and I think I used that as another excuse as to why I didn't do any exercise. But the pt taught me that weight bearing exercise will actually strenghten my bones so there's no excuses anymore!

Matryoshka- How are you going hun?

Ella- Wow that is a good idea ive got a beautiful new blender with smothie attatchment n bananas and have also swapped my normal milk and bought some physical low fat milk. will definently be making one of those today! Will have to go shoping one day this week to fill up on some healthy food ill add tuna n premiums to the list also lol

Claire_A- Congragulations on the weightloss seriously it makes all the difference and it all adds up in the end ! Think if you lose that much each week thats amazing you'd be at your goal weight in no time and also remember wen we start working out we put on muscle as it weighs more than fat so thats why i measured myself too to see the loss in width too.

P.S wIll be checking out pt too even if its just an assesment so i know what i should be working on especially with my injury instead of seeing them frequently to save $$$

Hi girls how are you all doing? Well I had a bit of a bad food day yesterday. Although I did go out to lunch with a group of friends to celebrate my 30th birthday so I'm kind of telling myself it was ok! I did work out this morning though so hoping I burned off at least some of yesterdays feast!

How's everyone else doing? I started my food diary this morning so hoping it can keep me on track from now on.

I too need to lose about 5-10kg!

sweetheart. We all have bad days (and weeks). Just hail the wagon down and jump back on. You can not be perfect 100% of the time. And if you're anything like me when I had swine flu - you will lose weight anyway

    Hang in there gorgeous!

I'm on holidays this week, and have been working in the garden - cementing edges all week - including mixing the cement myself in a wheelbarrow. I have lots of sore bits - so should hopefully lose some weight from all that exercise - not been eating a whole lot of naughty stuff either. The scales aren't telling me anything positive - but I am hoping that means I am building muscle which weighs more!

Ok I've fallen off the wagon too. My two sisters came down to visit for my birthday and we pretty much have been non stop eating for the last two days! Today started with a chocolate tour of Melbourne but I am back on the wagon as of tomorrow I promise!

how horrible is it theres just some days that you just do one little thing wrong like that bit of chocolate and then it just gets worse after that...ive gota get rid of the temptations in my house..

But you know what tomorow is a new day ! we can do it seriously! i believe in all of you, try to start the day positively have a nice wholesome, healthyy breakie followed by som form of physical excercise i took a 2 hour walk on the beach was beautiful totally lifted my mood and motivation, sometimes its simple things like this that keep us going!

Mother goose thanks hun i really needed to hear that you have no idea

Claire- dont beat youself up about the chocolate hun, ( i had chocolate too shhh lol) just work abit harder wen you excercise next time say to yourself if i have that chocolate thats another 10/20min walk/run or waterver you do for excercise thats wat i do i think it helps me abit

Mr Squidipa- sometimes falling of the wagon makes us stronger for when we get back on the wagon, we wont fall of so easy again..i believe in you that you can do this!

ausgirl- thats great hun, dont worry abou the stupid scales, how do you feel thats wat matters the most you'll most likely finf it is muscle your gaining and thats great good on you

Matryoshka and Ella how are you both doin? xx

Well.... I have fallen off the wagon today with some chippies for lunch, but......

Last week I weighed in at 100.9kg. Yesterday I weighed myself and I was 98.8kg!!!! Yay for me, I know i'ts not much, but every gramme is one gramme closer to my goal.

Mr Squidipa-Don't worry about falling off the wagon. Just climb back on, we are all on the wagon holding out our hands to help you up!!!!!

Emma-I took your advice and made myself a food diary. I got a girl from mothers group involved and we have been doing excercise together and staying accountable to each other with the diary.

I also got up at 6am the other morning and went for a fast walk with DS in the pram. It was great and although I felt sore the next day it gave me much more energy for the rest of the day!

Hope everyone else is well!!! How are you all doing?
