My mum and her sister are 7 years apart and very close, her brother is 18mo younger than her but they don't get along as well. I don't think the age gap is the main issue - personality and family play a big part.

FWIW - I concieved our DD2 when I was 36 and we got the BFP first try so it's not necessarily going to be hard.
