The appt didn't go so well. Am going to post in another thread... BBS with the thread link.
Congrats Jade & Family
Thanks Emma
Woohoo yay for good nights! Now we'll wait until tomorrow and see if we can pull off two in a row!
Good luck at the appt Sally, let us know how it goes!! It's a developmental check up yeah?? I think that's what i read somewhere...
LJ - Good to hear! I know you were testing around Christmas and it hadn't been around since, so you must be feeling better that she's back... Good luck on TTC again this month.
Alright not much more to say as yet today. Am off to express then perhaps a short nap. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
The appt didn't go so well. Am going to post in another thread... BBS with the thread link.
Congradulations Jade!!!!!
I've posted about Brendan's health check HERE
I'm feeling quite deflated as it really didn't go as well as I'd hoped.
Up side I've found a playgroup and a mothers group!! WooHoo!
Ok i've been lurking & reading everyones posts but when i go to reply my girl is stiring for a feed or just a cuddle or i have dinner to cook, SO now that shes gone down for a sleep after her feed i can TRY and catch up, i must warn this will probably turn into a novel of a post
Sally- well i bought the Nan Gold 1 from birth and so far shes going alright but she was going alright on the s26 gold too until she became constipated, so if this formula is no good i'll try the chemist for the travel packs or i'll just try the Heinz Nuture one your raving about. How do i know whether she likes the formula or not?. Usually i'm sitting by the computer but the same as Ash just not at the moment
.We had a good chat the other night, Oh the other night Sophie was due at 3am but didnt wake until about 4.30-5am so that night she slept good but last night she slept 4hrs before she woke for a feed as id given her EBM and my milk is going so when i give her EBM she feeds earlier the next feed. So unfortunately after 5 weeks of giving Sophie breast milk it has come to an end which im fine with. WOOHOO on finding a playgroup & a mothers group sorry the appt didnt go as well as you'd hoped will go read the thread now.
Meg- Sophies going well we went to the health care nurse yesterday and in 1 week shes put on 300GRAMS!! what a little porker she is, so she now weighs 4090grams so she wont be in newborn nappies for much longer at this rate. I'm going well i think im all healed in the stitches department will find out for sure next Friday at our 6 week checkup when i'll also find out about getting the injection again or getting the pill TMI but Chris is keen to start DTD again hes been a patient boy i must admit, plus he hasnt gone completely without.
Ash- no problem for posting the announcements for you, had to share the news with the girls in YCC and let everyone else know on BellyBelly that you'd had Alex. Oh the first cuddle Chris & I had in bed once i came home felt SO weird but i missed cuddling so much that i wouldnt let him go haha. I'm not worried about when i'll loose my jellybelly" (accurate description) Chris has mentioned a few times about me loosing it and i said when your beer gut goes my jellybelly will go so he hasnt said anything else about it. The baby blues will pass with time just let us know if you need to chat or vent were here for you. Like Sally said YOU and only YOU knows whats best for Alex, no matter how many kids your mum has had Alex is your child.
Trini-sorry about the BFN, hopefully next month is your month. The course sounds great, good luck with it the midwives i had at the hospital were great really helpful!!.
Ali- love the new ticker and cute picture!.
Liz- ah so thats what happened to your wrist i'm on the ball now sorry if you'd posted what happened before Mummy brain is in overdrive sometimes. What sort of work do you do??
Jade- congratulations on your leapingbaby boy!!. I wondered where you'd gone to.
Ok i had 3 pages to catch up on and i think i got everyone will promise to try and post more often so im not posting novels for you girls to read haha.
Jo, sounds like a plan. I think the fact whether she likes the formula comes down to "mothers intuition" But as a sign brendan used to screw his face up and push the bottle away and then scream like he's hungry. You've done well to get to 5 weeks![]()

Hi ladies! Hope your all well!
trini - I'm actaully very glad that AF arrived, just because I know where I am at nowIt's getting closer to your birthday, you getting excited?
Ali - Thanks for letting us know! Congrats to Jade and welcome to little Ryan!
Sally - Brendan is just adorable in your ticker! I'm sure Brendan will be fine. My little brother has special needs, but was never sent to a speech pathologist until he was at least 5 years old, so at least if Brendan sees one now, he's getting an early start and I know he'll be fine
Ash - How's lil Alexander doing? He is absoultely adorable in your ticker. Yeah, I'm glad AF had arrived. AF ended up coming about 3 or so weeks ago as well, which was the first time i'd seen it for about 2 months. I'm glad she's back because I now know where I'm at in my cycle.
Bonham - LoL! No problems at all.. I blame it on the placenta brain that turned into Mummy brain :P I do car detailing, basically just cleaning cars and when I cleaned this one car last Thursday, I had opened a car door only slightly and then the wind blew the door shut and crushed my handA lil ouch still
Anywho we've got a big poker tournament tonight, and there's a competition for the best costume, best team name (our team name is The Muppets), winning team and winner of the tournament (and the first person out) - Our costumes are just the poker shirts with Muppet iron on transfers on them with black pants - I'm having Kermit because I'm the captain of our team, then there's my DF who is using the picture of the two guys on the balcony, then the other two are using Animal and Fozzy Bear. I think it's great! Oh, and i'm going to be getting green hair spray and spraying my hair green (will make sure i post a picture of it :P)
LJ - Those muppet shirts sound cool, are they like the bowling shirts?
All those that had kiddies recently, what did you actually use out of what you packed in your hossy/labour bags?
Skittle - Kinda like bowling shirts! Except ours are just normal t-shirts with the WAPL logo on the back, and our muppets on the front :P
Liz - yeah im getting very excited bout my birthday because i will be legal all over the worldhahahahahaha i wish my AF would hurry up & come
so how was everyones day?? mine was ok but uni call was boring..when we got there the lecturer told us that she forgot to tell us that she was cancelling our friday class but since we were there then she was going to teach us!!
Heyas!!
Jo Thats good that everything is going well with you and sophie. And you and DFhehe.
Sally Oh its horrible the heat! Cant wait til winter!! Just read your thread about Brendans Health CheckupI hope everything goes well!!
Im not sure if its anything to worry about or anything...But last night before i went to sleep i noticed i had period pain, and my tummy was all hard. This morning i had them again, and ive had them 3 or 4 times since then. They arent consistent, but last for about 2-3 mins. Its probably BH, but its not like the BH ive felt before...before id only get tightenings once every now and then, definately not the same day, and it wouldnt be painful at all, id just feel the uncomfort of my tummy tightening. Maybe ill call MW if it happens a few more times this afternoon/tonight.
Meg, thank youSounds like it could be just BH... but if it does continue definately get it checked!
Was thinking dunno how many of us there are from WA/Perth but thought maybe we could have a meet one day??
Going out tonight, take care everyone![]()
Meg - I had that too. I wouldn't stress - it's just your body preparing for labour, and like you said probably BH. I didn't think they were BH either but i think it does have to do with the positioning of your bub on how or where you will feel them. Is bub engaged / grinding your cervix yet? I know my period pains started after bub engaged at about 33/34 weeks. If you are worried call your MW like you say
Damn quick reply being gone i forget how pregnant people are!
I was hoping i was one of the lucky ones whose 'period pains' meant thinning and effacement - but i ended up having full on contractions for that too. Fingers crossed yours is actually doing something, because if its lasts for as long and happens as frequently as mine did you'll be pretty peeved after about two weeks of it happening and just want labour to hurry the hell up so you can have the pain be over it and get it out of the way! LOL![]()
I wouldnt know if she is engaged or not, but i do get jolts in my cervix/hip area which make me jump. Tummy has felt a bit 'heavy' the past few days..
Sally thats a good diea about a meet one day!!
LJ - Lil Alex is going really well. Not causing me too much grief yet which is good. Have been able to express enough for DF to feed him a bit over the weekend too so i'll be able to catch up on some extra z's. Woohoo
Sally - i have read your other thread too but was too frazzled to reply. I know it must be hard for you, but try and keep in the back of your mind just how happy it will make you once he is thriving - and all the hard work now will make it so much more of an 'accomplishment' later on. Hope you're feeling a bit better this arvo, take it easy and have a good night!
Goodmorning
I am feeling better today... thought about Brendan alot and well it's all for the best, I guess i'm just a lil nervous because he may end up needing surgeryBut hopefully the speechy will be able to get him to swallow lumps! woohoo!
How is everyone else??
Liz- ah cool, yeah definately got mummy brain here. I finished my mechanics apprenticeship last April and the detailers where i worked were awesome once they got over the fact that yes i was a girl but if i didnt want to listen to them i'd tune out haha. The shirts sound cool!. We went to a friendly poker game last night and were home by 11.00pm which was early for us i wasnt complaining though meant i could come home feed Sophie and go to bed.
Trini- yesterday was alright my madam wouldnt got to sleep after her feed unless she was on my chest and as soon as i'd put her down shed wake up thankgod for boucners haha. I decided to stop BF/expressing my milk is watery which i was told means my milk doesnt have to good stuff in it but im happy to FF, christ Sophie put on 300g in the last week having both i can only imagine how much she'll put on this week haha.
Meg- yeah Sophie thriving and i havent lost my mind yet haha. Things are good with DF too. I've got a picture of my ring in my photo gallery if you havent had a look yet.
Sally- Did you enjoy your time out last night? I'm sure they wouldnt be sending Brendan to the speech therapist and physio if it wasnt neccessary. My brother had to see a speech therapist and they didnt pick up on it until he was in pre school he was getting his "S's" mixed up with "D's" so hed called our sister Dudan instead of Susan (he still hasnt lived it down and she loves the family nickname) he spoke to my nan on the phone once and asked her can i ding you a dong" and my nan said i dont know what that is and i dont want a bar of it. Now hes a healthy happy going on 22yr old and talks as normal as anyone. Just thought i'd share a little family story.
Were good here my BB's are a little uncomfortable due to me stopping BF/expressing but so far its not too bad. Sophie just had a feed and is again fighting the zzzzzz's but she'll soon doze off to sleep thankgod for dummies (she only has it to settle her/put her to sleep). I need to eat breakfast myself.
