Ali- several people (including my mum) told me watery milk was no good/had no nutrients etc in it and i stupidly believed them not knowing any better. I was getting alot of foremilk if thats the case and i was getting less and less each time i offered it to her oh i feel so stupid now. I havent offered Sophie BB juice in 2 days and have stopped cold turkey i had to express yesterday as my BB's were a little sore. Where do i go from here if i was to try BF again??. I've read your thread about your situation

OMG!!! I've missed soooooo much.
I'll just write what i can remember at the moment then come back later and do some more!

Not 2 b rude but i cant recall Jade, did she go under another name?

Jo- u stopped bf? Is that coz of the nipples? Sorry didn't catch whats been happening?

Ash- I usually put what my mummy instincs say and what my health nurses professional opionons r together and come out with a pretty good outcome. Listen 2 ur mum but u dont always have 2 do what she says, coz when u think about it times have changed even from when the twins were born!
I was told 2 wake bella 4 feeds but, she would wake up 4 them on time anyway. If he is getting much needed sleep let him go unless a decrease in weight.

jo - if ur milk hasnt gone all 2gether, just pretend its back to when bub was a few days old, the more she sucks, the more milk ya boobs make! im thinking i might go back to BF fully, formula just makes jaylen soooo different, he doesnt settle as easy, he cries more, and is just heaps different.. i said in my baby thread, that it doesnt hurt as so anymore... maybe a tiny bit sumtimes when he attaches, its just the tingly tender feein i got all the time, i HATE it... and when im cold they hurt like hell

Bf mummy's i've been breast feeding soley since the day annabelle was born and trust me my road hasn't been cookies and cream all the way.
Bella took 2 it straight away thats why i continued as she made it easy 4 me. But at one stage i had bleeding nipples the each took a turn at it but i persavered (sp, u get me though) then afeter that they just hurt like a b!tch! But i kept going once all that had died down everything was cool until Annabelle was 4 months old when i stopped feeling that filling of the other boob when she was on the opposite one, (u know that slight pain u feel in one when they're feeding off the other?) But i thought nothing of it, then bella wasn't being her self not settling as well etc. Then fathers day wkend i had a bad expereience with DP's family about her being hungrey coz she was breast fed (coz non of them breast fed they they thought all bubs should b formula)
After that night i went 2 c my health nurse coz i was very messed up over it, she said eat better and drink more water then let her no if they filling up of the opposite boob still hasn't come back. Well after a week of drowing myself with drinking so much water the feeling came back!

I never thought i would b attached 2 bf but when i was threatened 2 have 2 give it up, i was a mess!

But just coz u dont bf doesn't make u a bad mummy if ur doing whats best 4 ur bubs thats all that matters weather it b breast or formula.
What im trying 2 say is there is usually a way 2 make bf work 4 u, try all ur options then if it still is not enough 4 bubs or is putting mummy through 2 much stress (in which case ur milk usually doesn't produce much when under stress, lack of sleep etc) then formula is there 4 a reason.
Good luck mummy's it goes so quick all these lil bumps in the road r just a couple out of many more 2 come.
