Keen, thanks for that. I'm sorry that you've also had to go through that hell, but it's slighlty comforting to know that it *does* in fact happen sometimes. The numbers also help, too. I've been trying to tell DH that they won't all fertilise, they won't all go to blast, and they won't all stick. We want to use all embryos that we get, so he's currently imagining us with 26 kids running around - poor man!

BG, you are so right! No doctor deserves to have two patients like us! But I'm sure they all need one to keep them on their toes and stop them getting too comfortable with their ways of doing things.

Sazz, isn't it just so great when friends react that way! I just can't stand the "oh you poor thing" that some of them do. When I was visiting a friend the other day she was talking to me about her breastfeeding pillow - how it all worked and that I was quite welcome to borrow it... it threw me a little that she was so confident that all this would work, but afterwards I did really appreciate the fact that she treated me like a normal person and that she has confidence. In the rough days, it's good to know that there are friends like that to fall back on and to help pick you up.

Right now I'm just scared of the pain. I'm scared of the fact that it hurts so damn much to go from laying down to upright. I can't stand upright, and every single step is agony... of course, it's slightly less bad when I don't have a full bladder, but that's about the only thing that prompts me to move at the moment. My heat pack is my best friend, and I'm finding all sorts of spots that hurt really, really badly. Like the spot directly above my right ovary that feels so bruised it hurts to have the heat pack on it. All down my right side - hurts to press on my waist, my hip joint hurts like it's cramped badly during sex. I feel a bit like I've been run over by a steam roller! Even my throat hurts like crazy, but I know that's just from the anaesthetic. I can't tell if the bloating in my belly is from gas or fluid, but I've been weighing myself, and there's been no huge increases. I think that's a good sign?

I think I want DH to stay home with me tomorrow, but then I also want him to leave work early on Wednesday to take me to acupuncture. I don't feel good about an hour's drive each way dosed up on panadeine forte! But it's a new job. Today was an RDO, and I think he'd have to start using his sick leave to stay home and care of me. At least he doesn't get sick much to actually need to use them for himself.

I'm rambling and tired and want to go to sleep but there's another hour before I can take more panadeine forte, and I think I'll sleep better if I wait. OHSS is the pits! I wouldn't ever wish this on my worst enemy!
