Sunbeam, a big congratulations to you beautiful woman! That's wonderful wonderful news and I'm sending you every possible kind of sticky vibe and baby dust imaginable. Well done!! I hope that little blastie is snuggling in good and tight and you are on your way to a BFP. What sort of support have they given you? Are you taking Clexane (blood thinner) or anything like that? So lovely to have a little photo - I've never been given that option. They look like little suns don't they? So amazing to see them moving and sparking with all that life. I'm always in awe of it each time I've seen one. Rest up and wrap that hope blanket around you - I'm sending you lots of love and hugs xx

T-hopes darling for today with how you are feeling. Please please trust me after many years of IVF I can say that it is impossible to tell just now it really is you have as much reason to hope as you do to despair but today is not the day for despair. It will happen for you, you have very good chances so try stay positive. And I hope you can get some sleep, like Saffy said, everything feels worse when you have had no sleep. So glad you had a lovely friend to give you some comfort today. Hang in there, one day at a time. x

Crafty just wanted to say while I was waiting to go in today I was reading a trashy mag and John Travolta's wife is pregnant at 47! So there you go, you can do it!!

Sorry for not many persies tonight, will explain in a minute. Love and hugs to everyone. Sorry Clairesmum - a big welcome to you too and sorry for your losses.

I've been so unwell since the EPU this morning - I've never had this sort of pain from an EPU before - don't know what is causing it. I've rung the nurses and they are telling me if it doesn't improve to go to RPA. I went for a little walk, hoping it will help but still very very uncomfortable, sharp pains and extreme bloating. Luckily I'm staying over in Sydney tonight at a good friend's house so if I have to go to hospital I'll be close. Bit upsetting really because everything went REALLY well otherwise. 7 eggs!! And at least 5 of them mature so wow, who'd have thought my girls still had that in them!! Now for the next hurdle...will they fertilise? I hope so. FS is adamant that only one will be going back - too much risk for me at my age for another mc. Going to heat up the wheat bag again now and rest some more and hopefully will feel better soon. xx

Alice my sweet that is awesome news, 7 is a very lucky number . I will be crossing everything that you get a great fertlilization rate. I am so sorry you are not feeling well from your EPU though, that sucks. Make sure you head back in to the hospital if you are in the least bit worried things are not right. I hope you feel better soon. Lets hope one little embie will be snuggling in for you too in a few days. Yes I'm on Clexane and Crinone.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes everybody, it feels so good to be able to share my problems with other ladies that have been and or are going through the same thing as I am.
Craftymummy- Thank you for your advice I appreciate it, I have been doing OPKs this cycle and last I got my +ive yesterday and they have all been -ive today, also have been temping since my MC in April I haven't had my temp rise as yet this cycle. I hardly ever seem to get copious amounts of stringy CM my CM (sorry if TMI) gets slippery and I feel wet down there but it doesn't seem to get stringy, is that a bad thing? We started DTD on CD9 this cycle and have been doing so every 2nd night and think maybe this time we will keep DTD until AF arrives or not arrives.....lol.....I usually O on about CD16 or later and only have 25-28day cycles depending.
Alice- I hope you are feeling better soon darl, I have no clue what so ever about anything to do with IVF or assisted conception of any sort but I can tell you I totally admire any woman that goes through it and your strength to go through it is truly inspiring to me.
So when I read about anything to do with IVF and or assisted conception I have no idea what anybody is talking about.
Good luck to anybody who is waiting for thier BFP.

    wow exciting day!

Alice- for all your eggs, how fantastic, I am so proud of your great result, can't wait to hear how they go! WOOHOO! I sooo hope you start feeling better and don't have to go to hospital but like Sunbeam says if you need to then you have to get checked. Transfering one sounds like a good plan, . Rest up and let your friend look after you, I will send thoughts to your tummy to go down and behave itself xx

Sunbeam-how does it feel to be PUPO??? Yay for this little cute embie and sending it lots of You sound happy!

Clairesmummy- Welcome! Nice to have a new face and i hope our collective wisdom regarding conception can get you a BFP soon! Listen to Craftymummy she has more children than the rest of us put together- she must know something!!

Crafty-can't believe you are going to be a grandmother, you will be a great one but I realise it must feel weird as you are young!

THopes- good on you for picking yourself back up, its good to have friends who understand. A friend of mine who lives in the UK is coming to visit next week, she has a baby that was IVF, I can't wait to meet him and discuss everything with her. Hope you sleep tonight x

SammyP- are you called India's mummy now? or am I going mad? Hmmm, interesting about getting up in the night for a wee, sounds like good sign!

    Intheslowlane- have a GREAT holiday

Luna- still no AF? Sounds good but I know she can be tricky so hope she is intending to stay away for a long time!

AFM- spent the day doing homeduties, made some muffins, spring cleaning, gardening, made chicken stock to put in the freezer, very domesticated.
Did anyone hear on the TV this morning about the gender bias they have discovered in IVF babies? There are 56% boys born to IVF- I was really disappointed when I heard this!! *embarrassing* I know its stupid but I would really love a girl and if we only ever have one baby, I would be so sad never to have a girl. Yes I know I have to get pregnant first and I know that a healthy baby of any sex would be a miracle and I'm sorry if I offend anyone by saying that but I can't help it. Anyway, I need AF to arrive first before anything else so better not jump the gun!!

Saffy- I'm with you. I will be happy with a baby either way but in my heart I have always longed for a little girl. Don't be embarrassed the heart wants what the heart wants we don't have control of that. Yes I am very happy to be PUPO

Sorry everyone, didn't know it was going to be changed so quick. Yes, my name is now India's Mum. My name wasn't Sammy so it was odd being called that in the end. When I first started posting I didn't want anyone to know I was pregnant and someone I knew posted on this site so I just used the name of a character in a book I was reading. That was almost 4 years ago now and I can't even remember what book it was!

For all those that want a girl - I read somewhere that older parents tend to produce girls, so here is hoping

India's Mum - I do not want to hear "I am so old" again because I bet you are not older than me and I am not old. WE ARE NOT OLD I SAY!!!!

    Sunbeam - what is PUPO?

To all those who are crying over the BFN at 9 DPO or earlier - STOP this nonsense now!!!! I know that the manufacturers make you believe that the test can come positive this early, but honestly, very little chance of that. The implantation happens anyway between days 6-12, usually on day 8. Then it takes 2 days for the hormones to show up in the blood, and they will show up in the urine 2 days after that. So on average, the earliest you can expect a BFP is day 12-13. Now I am going to go and slap my own hands, because I am guilty of testing too early too. So hard to resist it when the sticks are right there...

Yeah, still no AF for me, maybe I miscalculated when she should come? It is 17th day since the positive OPK, she should be here, right? Unless I did not really ovulate until 2 days after the positive OPK and AF is due tomorrow. I should be more optimistic, but I have tested again yesterday and another BFN, although it was not FMU, but still... If you use OPKs, how soon after you get the positive OPK the AF comes?

Clairesmummy -so we meet again . I have just came across this article on the luteal phase defect, what causes it and how to treat it, I thought you may find this interesting.

    Hi girls,

Can i just say with my boys and this bub i got a BFP 9dpo and with Abbi i got a light BFP on the day AF was due so i am hopeing with me the early BFP means this bub is healthy like my boys.

Sunbeam-whoo hoo now the wait begins wont be long and that healthy little embie will be a beautiful bub.

Alice-praying for some strong embies for you my girl it's about time you got out of this thread and move on in to a preggy thread.

Sammy oops India's mum-love the name change.

T-Hopes-sorry i am the opposite i had to test every day from 8dpo that way the BFN either stays that way and it is not a shock or the line slowly builds up and you get more excited each day but thats me good luck and i im praying for two lines for you.

Clairsmummy-welcome these girls are awesome i miss them so much.

Saffy- the boy girl thing is so hard when we have trouble ttc you just want a baby either way i have 3 boys and when i lost my 1st girl it gutted me and my family and deep down i wanted another girl to help with the grief and pain then after ttc and our genetic issues i now dont care what i get i just want a healthy baby even if i had another boy i think it will be a miracle.

Anyway just thought i'd pop in im still waiting to find out if this baby has SLO or not i am just over 14 weeks now and feel lots of flutters and tiny kicks that feel like a bubble popping which is reasuring being so early.
I am plotting along but in the back of my mind i am terrified they will find something on U/S next week or the U/S i have in 2 and a half weeks if we get past those 2 without finding anything wrong i think we can relax and i can go bye something for bub oh! and i will be getting them to have a look to see if it's a boy or a girl.

    Wish me luck.

Hi Ferals- nice to hear from you, sounds like things are as good as they can be for you while you are still on tenderhooks waiting for a result!

    Alice- how are you going???

Luna- your luteal phase ( time between ovulation and AF) is always the same length apparently, different for everyone tho, usually 12-16 days?? (correct me if I'm wrong someone), so if you know how long you usually get AF after O then it should always be the same, the O day is often different though. Sorry if this does not make sense I don't even think I understand what I wrote Hopefully you will get either a bfp or Af so it becomes irrelevant!

Have a good day everyone, I am just still waiting for AF believe it or not

Clairesmummy - I hope your time here is short.

Luna - I too am young, however, I am a year older than you. For any older ladies I can recommend an interesting book. I just ready "The Complete Guide to Pregnancy Over 30" by Carol Winkleman. It focused mainly on those in the late 30's to mids 40's bracket.

Well I never got to hear my test results. The FS's office rang to rebook the appointment as he had to go out on an emergency. I couldn't go tomorrow as I work Fridays and they said it wouldn't be till the 11th as he was away next week. I then became very concerned that if I did find out I was pregnant next week I wouldn't be able to start the progesterone straight away and I was worried that might make a difference. Fortunately he hadn't left yet and they let me talk to him and he has written me a script so I can take them as soon as I get a positive result from a pee test.

Don't think I am pregnant anymore though. Didn't need to wee at all last night and I have had a lower back ache all morning so I think AF is on it's way instead.
