Hi Ladies,
Just a quick one - went and saw a new FS today to get a 2nd opinion on why I may not be getting pregnant - he was very thorough, including doing an a vaginal ultrasound to double check everything was OK. I am officially perfect (I will be quoting this to DH regularly from now on). So it's just luck for me which I know you all appreciate can feel like a bad thing because I can't do anymore than I am already doing which is both very expensive and so emotionally draining, but such is life.
I asked specifically about auto-immune conditions (NK cells etc as well) and he said it wouldn't be a problem if you have had a successful pregnancy before as recently as I have for this to be the reason for not getting pregnant again through IVF. He had a lovely manner about him and was in no way dismissive so I feel like this was the right answer! If anyone in Perth wants a 2nd opinion doc I am happy to PM his details as I feel so much better, like I was listened to which doesn't really happen at my current FS.
I am happy but sad at the same time as I had hoped I could take a pill to make it better and get pregnant but I guess I am destined to spend more money trying to make this a reality.
